India is my motherland and all people living in India are my family. The mother tongue of my country is Hindi and many other languages are spoken here. India is rich in natural beauty and our land provide heart touching nature.

I feel proud on my country India because all the great leaders of this nation arose from poverty and led the nation. Many great writers and reformers got birth on this land who enriched the literature of India.

The architecture of my country is famous throughout the world. The Taj Mahal is  one of the greatest monument of the world that exist India. It is considered as the symbol of eternal love. Apart form it the Kashmir, called the heaven on the earth,  is in India. India is very famous for its agriculture.  The chief crops of India are sugarcane, cotton, jute, rice, wheat and many other cereals.

I am proud to be an Indian because my country is very rich in natural resources. It is very famous all around the world. Indians are very hard workers. They work for their country. India is progressing rapidly in all fields of technology and science

India is also called as the land of spirituality, philosophy, science and technology. It is also familiar for its agriculture and farming practices. Many kinds of grains and fruits are grown here. India has unity in diversity. People live here peacefully. There are many cultures and traditions that are practiced in India.

Peacock is the national bird of India. Mango is the national fruit of India. “ Jana Gana Mana ” is the national anthem of India . “Vande Mataram” is the national song of India. Hockey is the national sport of India. People of different religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism , Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism lives together from ancient times. India is also rich in monuments, tombs, churches, historical buildings, temples, museums, scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuaries , places of architecture and many more. The great leaders and freedom fighters are from India.

The first color that is uppermost color in the flag which is the saffron color, stands for purity. The second color i.e. the middle color in the flag is the white color and it stands for peace. Ashoka Chakra contains twenty-four spokes which are equally divided. India has 29 states and 7 union territories.

My Favorite States from India are as follows –

Rajasthan itself has a glorious history. It is famous for many brave kings, their deeds, and their art and architecture. It has a sandy track that’s why the nuclear test was held here. Rajasthan is full of desert, mountain range, lakes, dense forest, attractive oases, and temples, etc. Rajasthan is also known as “Land Of Sacrifice”. In Rajasthan, you can see heritage things of all the kings who ruled over there and for that, you can visit Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Chittaurgarh, etc.

Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is bigger than a foreign (Italy) country and smaller than Oman. It also has tourists attractions for its places. In Madhya Pradesh, you can see temples, lakes, fort, art and architecture, rivers, jungles, and many things. You can visit in Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior and many cities. On August 15, 1947, India woke up to freedom. Decades later we continue to celebrate this day when we became a free and sovereign nation. With great leaders like Gandhiji in the forefront, India won Independence through peaceful means. This day is a national holiday and the Prime Minister hoists the national flag at the Red Fort, followed by a speech which is broadcast nationally from its ramparts.

I am proud to be Indian because of our country’s achievements in space and missile technology. India has launched a number of satellites in space for helping us in weather forecast, communications, medical research, and education. The missiles such as Agni, Prithvi strengthened our nation’s security and ensured a place in the elite group of the world’s powerful countries. Moreover, our scientists have lifted India’s pride by placing our Tri-colour on the moon and are now looking for landing in the planet Mars.

I was seven months old when our Nation celebrated its 53rd Independence Day — the first one after my birth. My grand dad used to describe the very first Independence Day celebration when he was a boy of seven and how the Tricolour was unfurled by a British Manager on the morning of August 15, 1947, at the Selaliparai tea factory premises in Valparai – Anamalai hills. My great grand dad was the Headmaster of the local school and he sang the songs Thayin ManikodiPareer and Aaduvomey, pallu paaduvomey, Aanandasudanthiram adainthuvittomenru on that memorable occasion.

I love the culture of my great nation mostly because it is secular. It is blessed with all resources. Further the climate in our country especially in my district is considered to be the best compared to other parts of the globe.

Through the months of India’s sprawling national election season, the country’s hundreds of cable news outlets all seemed to be trying to outdo each other: They predicted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would win, and win big.

The actual election results on June 4, however, saw his fortunes plummet so low that he secured another term only with the help of coalition partners.

It was a shocking result to many, and now India finds itself wondering why so few foresaw the popularity of an opposition movement. Some outlets had predicted that Mr. Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party, or B.J.P., would win as many as 400 of the 543 available seats in Parliament, but in the end, it won only 240.

Many see the disparity as a sign of how thoroughly the prime minister had cowed the mainstream media, and how his control of the information system had grown so complete that the hype obscured voters’ true sentiments.

During Mr. Modi’s decade in office, a mix of pressures and incentives turned mainstream news channels into cheerleaders of his every move. They presented the powerful prime minister as an unstoppable leader, too overwhelming for any opponent to challenge. Debating him on policy, or even on his delivery of his promises, was out of the question.

Many reporters at established news outlets embraced what Mr. Modi had normalized: taking pride in his Hindu-first vision of India. Those who investigated the unsavory side of his tenure, including independent bodies that sharply critiqued his policies, were ostracized, raided or otherwise forced to surrender.
