Kannada is a Dravidian language spoken in the state of Karnataka in southern India. Kannadigas, or Kannada (also called Canarese) speakers, are estimated to number around 40,000,000 worldwide. In southern India, there are at least 20 distinct dialects of spoken Kannada. While it is a difficult language to master for English language speakers, it is possible to learn some basic phrases and words that can help you communicate your basic needs in Kannada.

• Canarese consonants come in two forms, structured and unstructured. Structured consonants are categorized by where the tongue touches the palate. These come in five categories. They are:

• Dentals ತ (ta) ಥ (tha) ದ (da) ಧ (dha) ನ (na)
• Labials ಪ (pa) ಫ (pha) ಬ (ba) ಭ (bha) ಮ (ma)
• The unstructured consonants are: ಯ (ya), ರ (ra), ಲ (la), ವ (va), ಶ (sha), ಷ (ssa), ಸ (sa), ಹ (ha), ಳ (lla)
• Kannada also includes two letters which are part consonant and part vowel, called "yogavaahaka". They are the anusvara: ಅಂ (am) and the visarga: ಅಃ (ah)

• When Kannada is written using English language characters, you will sometimes find that vowels in the middle of words are capitalized to represent the long vowel sound. However, this convention is not uniformly practiced.

• The consonants which are capitalized are:
• aDike (the D is as in "Dog"); lower case d is soft).

• kaNNu (here N is nasal; lower case is as in "no")

• Because of this, when looking at a Kannada language dictionary, you will find verbs by their verb stem rather than in a constructed, infinitive form. For example, see the conjugation of "to walk" in Kanadda below.

Speech is a human vocal communication using language. People living in Karnataka should learn Kannada, says CM Siddaramaiah

Emphasising the importance of protecting the Kannada language and Karnataka’s land, and water, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called on all Kannadigas to foster a Kannada-centric environment in the state. His remarks were made during the Bhoomi Puja ceremony on June 20 for a bronze statue of Nanda Devi Bhuvaneswari near the western entrance of Vidhana Soudha, as part of the Karnataka Namakarana Suvarna Mahotsava celebrations organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture.

"It is the duty of all to create a Kannada atmosphere. For that, all the people living in Karnataka should learn Kannada. We cannot remain silent like that," said Siddaramaiah. He said that while Kannadigas are not insolent, a strong love for the Kannada language must be cultivated. He urged people to develop respect and admiration for their language, land, and the country without becoming fanatical or bigoted.

"Everyone must decide to speak in Kannada with those who live in Karnataka. Kannadigas are generous. That is why there is an environment in Karnataka where even those who speak other languages can live without learning Kannada. The same situation cannot be seen in Tamil Nadu, Andhra, or Kerala states. They speak only in their mother tongue. We also have to speak in our mother tongue. That should make us proud," he added.

ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶುಭ ಸಂಜೆ! ಈ ಮಂಗಳಕರ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂದು ನಾನು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಒಂದು ಮಹತ್ವದ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಈ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ _____ವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ____ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ವಂದನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೇಳಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. 

ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಈ ಈವೆಂಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ತಂಡ, ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಲಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾವು ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು/ಶಾಲೆಯು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮತ್ತು ಉನ್ನತಿಗಾಗಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ  ___ಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು, ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಮಿತಿ, ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು. ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜು/ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಗಣ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಿಡುವಿಲ್ಲದ ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಸಮಯ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆಯಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಇಂತಹ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗೌರವವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳಿಂದ ನಾವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಖಾತ್ರಿಯಿದೆ. ಇದು ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಲ್ಲ. 

ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರು, ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಮಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ____ ಈ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜ/ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ/ಕಂಪನಿ  ಪರವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. 

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ/ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಿನವಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ _____. 

ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ವೈಭವಯುತವಾಗಿ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಒಂದು ಶುಭ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜ/ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ/ಕಂಪನಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್/ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.

ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಳ್ಳಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬಂದವು. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ/ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆ/ಕಾಲೇಜ/ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ/ಕಂಪನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ/ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಶ್ರೇಯೋಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು.

ಸಹಜವಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಿದೆ. ಅದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಾಗರಿಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮತ್ತು ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದರೂ  ಅಧ್ಯಯನ, ಕೆಲಸ ಅಥವಾ ಇನ್ನಾವುದಾದರೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಈ ಕ್ರೆಡಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಾವು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

• ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಜಗಳಗಳು, ನಗು ಮತ್ತು ನೋವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಲಿತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
• ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ನಮಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಪಾಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾರಂತೆ ಇರಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಡಿ, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನೆಯ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಗಿಂತ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿರಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕು.
• ಶಾಲಾ ಜೀವನ/ಕಾಲೇಜು ಜೀವನವು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ

Parts of Speech - ಪದ ವಿಭಾಗ

ನಾವು  ಮಾತಾಡುವಾಗ  ಬಳಸುವ  ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವೇ ಪದಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಶಬ್ಧಗಳು ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.  ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಪದಗಳು ಅಪಾರ,  ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ.  ಇವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ  ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಮಾತಿನ  ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ  ಬಳಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಹೀಗೆ  ಬಳಸುವ  ಸಮಗ್ರ  ಪದಗಳನ್ನು  ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ  ಪದ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ಅಥವ ಪದವಿಭಾಗ  ಎನ್ನುವರು.

ಪದಸಮುಚ್ಚಯವನ್ನು 8 ಗುಂಪುಗಳಾಗಿಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

1.      ನಾಮಪದ (ಹೆಸರು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು) - Nouns

2.     ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದ (ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು) – Verbs

3.     ಸರ್ವನಾಮ (ನಾಮಪದಕ್ಕೆಬದಲಾಗಿಬರುವಪದಗಳು) - Pronouns

4.     ವಿಶೇಷಣ (ನಾಮಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನುತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು) - Adjective

5.     ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣ (ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನುತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು) – Adverb

6.     ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ವಾಚಕ ಪದಗಳು – Conjuction

7.     ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಕ ಪದಗಳು - Preposition

8.     ವಿಸ್ಮಯ ಬೋಧಕ ಪದಗಳು - Interjection

(1) ನಾಮಪದಗಳು - Nouns

ಇದನ್ನು ಸಂಜ್ಞಾ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುವರು .

ನಾಮಪದವು ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಪದ ಆಗಿದೆ .  ಹೆಸರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನದಾಗಿರಬಹುದು , ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳದಾಗಿರಬಹುದು ,  ಗಿಡ - ಮರಗಳದಾಗಿರಬಹುದು ,  ವಸ್ತು ,  ಸ್ಥಳ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪದದ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿರಬಹುದು .

ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ,  ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಿ , ಪದಾರ್ಥ ,  ಸ್ಥಳ ಮೊದಲಾದವುಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು ನಾಮಪದ ಎನಿಸಿರುತ್ತವೆ . 

ಉದಾಹರಣೆ - Example:

ರಾಮ    ( ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೆಸರು )

ಹೆಂಗಸು   ( ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹೆಸರ )

ಹುಲಿ   ( ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ಹೆಸರು )

ಮೂಗು    ( ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ದೇಹದ ಅಂಗದ ಹೆಸರು )

ಪುಸ್ತಕ   ( ವಸ್ತುವಿನ ಹೆಸರು )

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು   ( ಸ್ಥಳದ ಹೆಸರು )

ಲಾಲ್ ‌ ಬಾಗ್  ( ಸ್ಥಳದ ಹೆಸರು )

ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ,  ವಸ್ತುವಿನ ,   ಜಾಗ ಮೊದಲಾದವುಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು ನಾಮಪದ ಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ .

Noun is also called “Sanjna" in kannada grammar. Noun is the word denoting the names. May be the names of any person, any place, any animal or any things.

So noun is the name of any person, place, animal or thing.

Rama (the name of an individual)

Woman (the name of a person)

Book (the name of a thing)

Bangalore (the name of a place)

Tiger (the name of an animal)

Fly (the name of the insect)

Thus we may define noun as the name of any person, place, animal or thing.

(2) ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದ - Verb

“ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ” ಅಂದರೆ ಕೆಲಸ . ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಪದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ಉದಾಹರಣೆ - Example:

ರಾಮನು ಪಾಠ ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ .

ಬೆಕ್ಕು ಇಲಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದೆ .

ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಮಿಣುಗುತ್ತಿವೆ .

ಮೇಲಿನ ಮೊದಲ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ “ ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ರಾಮನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ .

ಎರಡನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ “ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದೆ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಬೆಕ್ಕು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ .

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೂರನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ “ ಮಿಣುಗುತ್ತಿವೆ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ . ಆದರಿಂದ ' ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ , ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದೆ . ಮಿಣುಗುತ್ತಿವೆ ' ಈ ಮೂರೂ ಪದಗಳು ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದ ಆಗಿವೆ .

Verb denotes the work. In any sentence, the word, showing the meaning of the "work" is called the Verb .

For example :

Rama reads the lesson.

The cat is eating the rat.

The stars are twinkling in the sky.

In the above first sentence, the word “ reads ” denotes the work of Rama. In the second sentence “ is eating ” denotes the work of the cat. Similarly in the 3rd sentence, the words “ are twinkling " denotes the work of the stars. So all the three words stated above, are the verbs in the parts of speech. So we may define the verb is a word which asserts or declares something .

  (3) ಸರ್ವನಾಮ - Pronoun

ನಾಮ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಪದವು ಸರ್ವನಾಮ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ಉದಾಹರಣೆ - Example :

ರಾಮನು ರಾಜಣ್ಣನ ಮಗ , ಅವನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ .

ಸೀತೆ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಾಳೆ . ಅವಳು ತುಂಬಾ ಚೂಟಿ ಇದ್ದಾಳೆ .

ರಘು , ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗ ಬಂದೆಯೋ ?

ಬೆಕ್ಕು ಅಡಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ . ಅದು ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ .

ಮೇಲಿನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ' ಅವನು ' ಎಂಬುದು ರಾಮನು ಎಂಬುದರ ಬದಲಾಗಿಯೂ , “ ಅವಳು ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು “ ಸೀತೆ '' ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದದ ಬದಲಾಗಿಯೂ , “ ನೀನು ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು " ರಘು ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ , ' ಅದು ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು “ ಬೆಕ್ಕು ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಂದಿವೆ . ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು , ಅವಳು , ನೀನು , ಅದು ಈ ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಪದಗಳೂ ಸರ್ವನಾಮ ಆಗಿವೆ .

ಅಂದರೆ ನಾಮಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಹೊಸ ಪದಗಳು ಸರ್ವನಾಮ  

The word, which comes in the place of a noun, is called Pronoun .

Rama is Rajanna's son.

He reads very well. Sitha comes to school from a village.

She is too smart. Raghu, when did you come?

The cat is in the kitchen hall.

It is drinking the milk.

In the above stated sentences, 'He' comes in the place of the “Rama”. “She” in the place of the noun "Sitha". 'You' in the place of "Raghu". 'It” in the place of the noun “Cat". So “he, she, you, it" all these four words are Pronouns .

So we can define , the word coming in the place of a noun, is called Pronoun.

(4) ವಿಶೇಷಣ - Adjective

ವಿಶೇಷಣ ಅಂದರೆ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವುದು ಎಂದರ್ಥ . ಯಾವುದರ ಗುಣ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು . ವಿಶೇಷಣವು ನಾಮಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಅಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಮಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದವು ವಿಶೇಷಣ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ರಾಮನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹುಡುಗ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ .

ಅಶೋಕ ಆದರ್ಶ ರಾಜ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದ .

ಕೆಸಬಿಯಾಂಕನು ಧೀರ ಬಾಲಕ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದ .

ಗುಲಾಬಿ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಹೂವು ಆಗಿದೆ .

ನೀಲಿಯ ಆಕಾಶ ನೋಡಲು ಚಂದ .

ಮೇಲಿನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ “ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ “ ಹುಡುಗ ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ಆದರ್ಶ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಅದರ ಮುಂದಿನ “ ರಾಜ ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ಧೀರ '' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಅದರ   ಮುಂದಿರುವ “ ಬಾಲಕ ' ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ಸುಂದರವಾದ '' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಅದರ ಮುಂದಿರುವ “ ಹೂವು '' ಎಂಬ ನಾಮ ಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ನೀಲಿಯ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವೂ ಸಹ ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ “ ಆಕಾಶ ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ , ಆದರ್ಶ , ಧೀರ , ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀಲಿಯ ಈ ಐದೂ ಪದಗಳೂ ವಿಶೇಷಣ ಪದಗಳೆನಿಸಿವೆ .

ಅಂದರೆ ವಿಶೇಷಣವು ನಾಮಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಿಸುವ ಪದ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದಾಯಿತು .

Adjective is a describing word. It describes the quality of the noun.

Rama is a good boy.

Ashoka was an ideal king.

Kesabiyanka was a brave boy.

Rose is a beautiful flower.

Blue sky is fine to look at.

In the above stated sentences, the word “good” qualifies the noun “boy”. The word “ideal” qualifies “king”. In the 3rd sentence “brave" qualifies the noun “boy”. Simiilarly the word “beautiful" qualifies its next noun “flower”. In the last sentence the word “blue” qualifies the noun "sky”.

All these five words are qulifying their relevant nouns. So they are called Adjectives .

We may define now, that the adjective is a word which qualifies a noun.

(5) ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ವಿಶೇಷಣ - Adverb

ವಿಶೇಷಣಕ್ಕೂ , ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವ ತಾರತಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಗಮನಿಸಿರಬೇಕು . ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುವ , ಅಂದರೆ ನಾಮಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದವು ವಿಶೇಷಣ ಎನಿಸಿದರೆ , ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದದ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುವ , ಅಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷಿಸುವ ಪದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣ ಎನಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ವಿಶೇಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ . ಈಗ ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣದ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯೋಣ .

ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ವಿಶೇಷಣವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

ಆಕಾಶ ನೀಲಿ ಆಗಿದೆ . ( ರೀತಿ )

ರಾಮನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದ ? ( ಸ್ಥಳ )

ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ . ( ಸ್ಥಳ )

ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ . ( ಸ್ಥಳ )

ಜಿಂಕೆ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡುತ್ತದೆ . ( ರೀತಿ )

ಭೀಮನು ನೆನ್ನೆ ಬಂದ . ( ಕಾಲ )

ಮೇಲಿನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ   ' ನೀಲಿ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಆಕಾಶದ ವರ್ಣವಿಶೇಷವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ರಾಮನು ಬಂದ ಸ್ಥಳ ವಿಶೇಷವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ” ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಜಿಂಕೆಯ ಓಟದ ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . “ ನನ್ನ ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಭೀಮನು ಬಂದುದರ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀಲಿ , ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ , ಎಲ್ಲೂ , ವೇಗವಾಗಿ , ನೆನ್ನೆ ಈ ಆರೂ ಪದಗಳೂ ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣಗಳಾಗಿವೆ .

ಅಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದದ ರೀತಿ ವಿಶೇಷ . ಸ್ಥಾನ ವಿಶೇಷ , ಸ್ಥಳ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು ಕ್ರಿಯಾವಿಶೇಷಣ ಎನಿಸುವುವು .

Before learning of the Adverb , we must be aware of knowing the difference between Adjective and Adverb . Adjective qualifies a noun whereas Adverb modifies the Verb.

An adverb modifies a verb. Not only the verb, an adjective and also another adverb.

Rama runs (verb) fastly (modifies the verb)

Rama is a very good (Adjective) boy. (modifies theadjective, “good”).

Rama runs very fastly . (Adverb)

In the above three sentences, the adverb “fastly” modifies the verb “runs". In the second sentence “very” is the adverb, modifying the adjective “good”. In the 3rd sentence “very” is the adverb, modifying another adverb “fastly".

To conclude, we may define that the adverb is a word which modifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb.

(6) ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ - Preposition

ಎರಡು ಪದಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಎರಡು ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಅವ್ಯಯವು ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನಿಸುವುದು . ಸಂಬಂಧದಿಂದ ಆದ ಅವ್ಯಯಗಳು ಪದಗಳಿಗೋ , ಪದಗಳ ಗುಂಪುಗಳಿಗೋ , ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಗುಂಪಿಗೋ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಂತಹ ಅವ್ಯಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಅನ್ನುವರು .

ಮೇಜಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಇದೆ .

ರಾಮನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣು ಇದೆ .

ಸೀತಾ ಗೀತಾ ಮತ್ತು ರೀತಾಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದಾಳೆ .

ಕುರ್ಚಿಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೆಕ್ಕು ಕುಳಿತಿದೆ .

ತಲೆಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕಾಶ ಇದೆ .

ಮೇಲಿನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲೆ , ಅಲ್ಲಿ , ಮಧ್ಯೆ , ಕೆಳಗೆ , ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಅವ್ಯಯಗಳು ಅವುಗಳ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತಲಿನ ನಾಮಪದಗಳ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನಿಸಿವೆ .

Preposition shows relation between two things. It may be between two words or between two groups of words.

The book is on the table.

The fruit is in Rama's hand.

Sitha is between Geetha and Reetha.

The cat is under the chair.

The sky is above our head.

In the above said sentences the preposition 'in' shows the relation between the two nouns- i.e. fruit and Rama's hand. In the 2nd sentence “ between ” is the preposition, showing the relation between the two words - Sita and Geetha and Reetha.

In the 3rd sentence “ under " is the preposition, because it shows the relation between the two words 'cat and chair'.

In the last sentence 'above' is the prepostion, showing the relation between ‘sky' and 'head'.

So all these four words are preposition. Then we may conclude that the preposition shows the relation between two things.

(7) ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯಯ - Conjunction

“ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ” ಅಂದರೆ “ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆ '' ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ . ಎರಡು ಪದಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ , ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಎರಡು ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವ ಅವ್ಯಯವನ್ನು ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದು .

ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳು :

ರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಅಣ್ಣ ತಮ್ಮಂದಿರು .

ರಾಮ ಅಥವಾ ಭೀಮ ಈ ದಿನದ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡುವರು .

ರಾಮನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ .

ರಾಮನು ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟು ಓದಿದ , ಆದರೂ ಅವನು ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಣನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ .

ಮೇಲಿನ ಮೊದಲ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ ಮತ್ತು ’ ಎಂಬ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯಯವು ರಾಮ , ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ನಾಮಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಎರಡನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ ಅಥವಾ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ರಾಮ , ಭೀಮ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ . ಮೂರನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂಬ ಪದವು .

(1) ರಾಮನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ .

(2) ಅವನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡೂ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ .

ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ ಆದರೂ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು

(1) ರಾಮನು ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟು ಓದಿದ . (2) ಅವನು ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಣನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ .

ಆದರಿಂದ ‘ ಮತ್ತು '  ‘ ಅಥವಾ ' ಹಾಗೂ ' ಆದರೂ ' ಇವು ಮೂರೂ ಪದಗಳೂ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯ ಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯ ಗಳೆನಿಸಿವೆ .

ಅಂದರೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಎರಡು ಪದಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ , ಎರಡು ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಅವ್ಯಯಪದವು ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

Conjunction

By these two words, the word conjuction is formed. Conjunction means formation of two words or two sentences. So any word joining two words or two sentences is said to be 'conjuction' .

Rama and Lakshmana are brothers.

Rama or Bheema will play in today's match.

Sitha reads well and she also writes well.

Gopal studied hard, yet he failed in the examination.

In the above first sentence the word ‘ and ' joins two nouns i.e. Rama, Lakshmana. In the second sentence, the word ‘ or ' joins two words i.e. Rama, Bheema. In the 3rd sentence, the word ' and ' joins two sentences -

(1) Seetha reads well.

(2) She also writes well.

In the last sentence the word ' yet ' joins two sentences

(1) Gopal studied hard

(2) He failed in the examination

So‘and', 'or', 'yet all the three words are conjunctions.

(8) ಭಾವಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ - Interjection

ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾತ್ಮಕ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಭಾವಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದು . ಇಂತಹ ಪದಗಳು ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ದುಃಖವನ್ನೋ , ಆನಂದವನ್ನೋ , ಭಯವನ್ನೋ , ವಿಸ್ಮಯವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಪದಗಳು ಭಾವಸೂಚಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನಿಸುವುವು .

ಭಲೇ ! ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೇ ಗೆದ್ದೆವು . ( ಆನಂದ )

ಅಯ್ಯೋ ! ಮಗು ಮಹಡಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು . ( ದುಃಖ )

ಅಬ್ಬಾ ! ಅವನೆಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಗ . ( ವಿಸ್ಮಯ )

ಅಮ್ಮಮ್ಮಾ ! ಈ ಛಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಿದೆ . ( ಭಯ )

ಮೊದಲ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ' ಭಲೇ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಅತ್ಯಾನಂದವನ್ನೂ , ಎರಡನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ' ಅಯ್ಯೋ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ದುಃಖವನ್ನೂ , ಮೂರನೇ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ' ಅಬ್ಬಾ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ವಿಸ್ಮಯವನ್ನೂ , ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ ಅಮ್ಮಮ್ಮಾ ' ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಭಯವನ್ನೂ ಸೂಚಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಬೋಧಕಾವ್ಯಯ ಎನಿಸಿದೆ .

Words denoting the sudden feelings are called Interjection. The feelings may be by pleasure, sorrow, fear or wonder. So an interjection is a word which shows sudden feeling.

Bravo ! we won the match. (Pleasure)

Hurrah ! we have won. (Pleasure)

Alas ! the baby fell into the well. (Sorrow)

Oho ! the child is shivering by cold. (Health)

In the above said sentences, 'bravo, hurrah' both the words denote happiness. In the 3rd sentence ‘alas' resembles (sorrow). In the 4th sentence ‘Oho!' denotes the feeling of fear. So “bravo, hurrah, alas, oh," all the four words are interjection.

Everyone living in Karnataka must speak Kannada: CM

BENGALURU: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday laid the foundation for the installation of a 25-ft statue of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari in the Vidhana Soudha premises. He said the work on the installation will be ready by November 1 this year, and urged those who live in Karnataka to learn the Kannada language and respect it.

Siddaramaiah said that in Karnataka, people revere Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. The statue will be installed at the west gate of the Vidhana Soudha, and will be made of copper. The Department of Kannada and Culture has taken up this initiative.

Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said it is the responsibility of all Kannadigas to safeguard the Kannada language, and the land and water of the state. He said every Kannadiga should begin speaking in Kannada with others. “Kannadigas are large-hearted people. That is why non-Kannadigas and people speaking other languages are not learning Kannada. If you go to Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Andhra Pradesh, people there speak in the local language, unlike people in Karnataka. We need to communicate with others in Kannada. This should actually be a matter of pride, and one need not feel inferior while speaking in our language,” he said.

Further, the CM suggested that everyone living in Karnataka must learn to speak the state language. “We need to learn to appreciate our language, and respect our land and water,” he added.

Siddaramaiah directed officials to complete the work on the statue before November 1. “Work has started and there is no dearth of funds in the state. This statue will be an added attraction to people. We have installed statues of many political leaders in the Vidhana Soudha premises,” he said.

The CM said that on November 1, 2023, the state completed 50 years of renaming Karnataka, when the government decided to celebrate the event for a year. This will culminate on November 1, 2024, when the Goddess Bhuvaneshwari statue will be unveiled.

ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಾಷಣ

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಅಥವಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ದಿನ, ಇದನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಚನೆಯ ದಿನ ಅಥವಾ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ದಿನ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 1 ರಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಗೌರವ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಯಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು, ಆರ್ಕೆಸ್ಟ್ರಾ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ವಿಳಾಸದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸುವುದು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದದ್ದು 

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪದದ ಮೂಲ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಎಂಬ ಪದದಿಂದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ನಾಡು, ಕನ್ನಾಡು, ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು ಎಂಬುದು ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥ.

ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಅಥವಾ ಅರ್ಥದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಲವು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳೂ ಇದೆ. ಕರು+ನಾಡು= ಕರುನಾಡು ಎಂಬ ಪದವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವಾಯಿತು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕರು ಎಂದರೆ ಕಪ್ಪು, ಇದರರ್ಥ ಕಪ್ಪು ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ನಾಡು ಎಂದೂ ಸಹ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಳೆಯ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳು ಇದನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟ ಎಂಬ ಪದದಿಂದ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತವೆ, ಕೆಲವು ಮೂಲಗಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಅನುವಾದಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜನತೆಯ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆಗಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಬದಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಎಂದು ಮರುನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು 1972ರ ಜುಲೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಭುಗಿಲೆದ್ದಿತು.

ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ದೀರ್ಘಾವಧಿಯ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳ ನಂತರ ರಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ವಾನುಮತದಿಂದ ಅನುಮತಿ ದೊರೆಯಿತು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ

ಆಲೂರು ವೆಂಕಟ ರಾವ್ 1905 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಏಕೀಕರಣ ಚಳುವಳಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಏಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕನಸು ಕಂಡ ಮೊದಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ.1950 ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಭಾರತವು ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳು ರಚನೆಯಾದವು

ಮತ್ತು ಇದು ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡಿತು, ಇದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ, ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ರಾಜರು ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು.

1 ನವೆಂಬರ್ 1956 ರಂದು, ಮೈಸೂರು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮೈಸೂರು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು, ಬಾಂಬೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮದ್ರಾಸ್ ಪ್ರೆಸಿಡೆನ್ಸಿಗಳ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಲೀನಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವು ಏಕೀಕೃತ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿತು.

ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಉಪ-ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಘಟಕ. ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಮಲೆನಾಡು (ಕೆನರಾ) ಮತ್ತು ಹಳೆಯ ಮೈಸೂರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ರಚನೆಯಾದ ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಾಗಿವೆ

ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಏಕೀಕೃತ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ “ಮೈಸೂರು” ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು, ಇದು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದು ಹೊಸ ಘಟಕದ ತಿರುಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿತು.

ಆದರೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜನರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಲವು ತೋರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಕಟ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಈ ತರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು  “ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ”  ಎಂದು 1 ನವೆಂಬರ್ 1973 ರಂದು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ದೇವರಾಜ್ ಅರಸು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಏಕೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಇತರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆ ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತ, ಕುವೆಂಪು, ಮಾಸ್ತಿ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ ಅಯ್ಯಂಗಾರ್, ಎ ಎನ್ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ರಾವ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿ ಎಂ ಶ್ರೀಕಂಠಯ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳು

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಹುರುಪಿನಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಂಪು ಮತ್ತು ಹಳದಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಧ್ವಜಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಯಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ

ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು (“ಜಯ ಭಾರತ ಜನನಿಯ ತನುಜಾತೆ”) ಹಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಈ ದಿನದಂದು ಹಬ್ಬದ ನೋಟವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಹನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟಾಗಲೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಧರ್ಮವು ಒಂದು ಅಂಶವಲ್ಲ, ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು, ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಶ್ಚಿಯನ್ನರು ಕೂಡ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ನಾಲ್ಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವೂ ಒಂದು

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ – ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯ, ಮುಂಬೈ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮದ್ರಾಸ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವರು ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಸಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ, 1956 ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಏಕೀಕರಣಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಕೂಡ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ! ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹೆಸರು ಮೈಸೂರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮೊದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. 1973 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಎಂದು ಮರುನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಹಲವಾರು ಐಟಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

Bengaluru, June 20: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that it is the responsibility of every Kannadiga to protect Kannada language, land and water. He gave a call for creating a Kannada atmosphere in Karnataka. “It is the duty of all to create a Kannada atmosphere. For that, all the people living in Karnataka should learn Kannada. We cannot remain silent like that,” he stated. He was addressing a gathering after performing Bhoomi Puja for the construction of a bronze statue of goddess Nada Devi Bhuvaneswari near the western entrance of Vidhana Soudha as part of the Karnataka Namakarana Suvarna Mahotsava celebrations organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture. “Kannadigas are not insolent. But love for Kannada should be developed. We should not become like the bigots in other states. But we should develop respect and admiration for our language, land and country,” he said. “Everyone must decide to speak in Kannada with those who live in Karnataka. A vow must be taken that no language other than Kannada is spoken. Kannadigas are generous. That is why there is an environment in Karnataka where even those who speak other languages can live without learning Kannada,” he stated. “The same situation cannot be seen in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. They speak only in their mother tongue. We also have to speak in our mother tongue. That should make us proud,” the CM said. CM Siddaramaiah said that he hoped that mother Bhuvaneswari’s statue would inspire everyone in this regard. He said that the work should be completed by November 2024 as there was no shortage of funds. The CM said that a bronze statue of about 25 feet height would be constructed in the premises of Vidhana Soudha. “We have installed statues of many politicians. I think the statue will add to the charm of the Vidhana Soudha,” he stated. (IANS)
