AIOU LMS Stands for Allama Iqbal Open University Learning Management System. It is an online CMS that helps students learn and study using their computers or smartphones. It’s like a virtual classroom where you can login and access your course materials, watch videos, take quizzes, and interact with your teachers and classmates. It makes learning easier and more convenient because you can do it from anywhere with an internet connection. So, whether you’re at home, in a cafe, or even on the bus, you can keep up with your studies through AIOU Aaghi LMS.

How to Login AIOU Aaghi LMS Portal?

Visit aaghi lms portal official website:.

First, open your web browser and type in this web address: https://aaghi.aiou.edu.pk/ . This will take you to the homepage of the Aaghi LMS Portal. Look for the link that says “Allama Iqbal Open University Aaghi LMS Portal” and click on it. This will bring you to the login page of the portal. Click on the button that says “log-in.”

Enter Username and Password

Now, you need to enter two things: your username and your password. Your username is usually provided by your school or university. After typing your username, click the button that says “sign-in.” Then, you’ll need to enter your password. For most students, their default password is their AIOU roll number. Once you’ve typed in your password, click the “sign-in” button again.

If you see a message saying “your account does not exist,” it means there might be a mistake in your username or password. Double-check them to make sure they’re correct. If you’re still having trouble, you might need to create an AIOU Aaghi LMS Account.

Once Logged In

Once you’re successfully logged in to your AIOU Aaghi LMS account, you can do several things:

Manage Assignments :

This means you can keep track of all your assignments in one place. You can see what assignments you have to do, when they’re due, and if you’ve already completed them.

Upload New Assignments :

If you have a new assignment that you need to submit, you can do it here. Just follow the instructions to upload your assignment file.

Edit Old Assignments :

Sometimes, you might need to make changes to an assignment that you’ve already submitted. You can do that here too.

See Assignment Status :

You can check the status of your assignments. For example, you can see if your teacher has graded them yet.

Access Courses :

Your courses are like your classes. Here, you can access all the materials you need for each of your courses. This includes things like lecture notes, reading materials, and videos.

See Assignment Results :

After your teacher has graded your assignments, you can see how you did. This is where you’ll find your grades and any feedback your teacher has given you.

Attend Workshops :

How to Create Account on AIOU LMS?

Creating an account on AIOU Aaghi LMS Portal is a bit different. Here’s how it works:

Who Can Create an Account ?

Not everyone can make an account on Aaghi LMS. Only students and tutors of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) can do this.

How Accounts are Created?

When you become a student at AIOU, the university itself makes an account for you on Aaghi LMS. They’ll generate a special ID for you, called an LMS ID. After that, they’ll send you your username and password through email and SMS to the phone number you provided when registering.

New Students:

So, if you’re a new student at AIOU, you won’t need to create your own account on Aaghi LMS. The university takes care of it for you. All you have to do is wait for them to send you your login details. Keep an eye on your email and phone for this message.

How to Change the Aaghi LMS Portal Password?

Allama Iqbal Open University makes a special ID for students on the Aaghi LMS Portal and sets the password using the student’s roll number. But if you want, you can change your password. Here’s how you can do it to keep your information safe:

1) Visit Aaghi LMS Portal

First, open your web browser and go to the Aaghi LMS Portal. You can do this by typing in the web address provided by your university.

2) Log In to Your Account

Once you’re on the portal’s homepage, log in to your account using your username and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, there’s usually an option to reset it.

3) Access Your Profile

After logging in, look for the profile icon. It’s usually located on the top right corner of the page. Click on it to access your profile settings.

4) Go to Preferences

In the list of options that appear, find and click on ‘preferences.’ This is where you can change settings related to your account.

5) Change Password

Inside the preferences section, you’ll see different tabs. Look for the one labeled ‘user account’ and click on it. Here, you’ll find the option to ‘change password.’

6) Type Old and New Password

To change your password, you’ll need to type in your old password first. Then, enter your new password in the appropriate field. Make sure to choose a strong password that’s hard for others to guess.

7) Confirm New Password

After typing your new password, you’ll need to enter it again in a separate field to confirm that you’ve typed it correctly.

8) Save Changes

Once you’ve entered your old and new passwords, click on the ‘Save Changes’ button. This will save your new password, and it will be updated for your Aaghi LMS Portal account.

9) Remember Your New Password

After changing your password, make sure to remember it for later when you log in to the Aaghi LMS Portal again. It’s a good idea to write it down somewhere safe or use a password manager to keep track of it.

Create the Assignment

The very first step is to create the assignment appropriately. You must follow the guidelines of AIOU to create your assignments properly. The guidelines include that copied assignments are not acceptable. You can read our article on creating online assignments for Allama Iqbal Open University.

Ready the submission files

The second step is to make sure your assignment submission files are in an appropriate format.

Make sure to give a proper and descriptive file name to your assignment files. Your file name can be your roll number, name, subject code, assignment number, or combination. Here are some recommended examples of assignment file names.

• Asg1-0317.pdf
• 0000874598-asg2.pdf
• Usama-asg1-isl.pdf

Allama Iqbal Open University allows submitting assignments only in pdf (.PDF) format. To check your assignment file format, open the file details. If your file format is (yourFileName .pdf ), then you are good to go.

Tip: You can use ‘save as’ feature in MS Word to save as pdf or you can also use online tools to convert your file to pdf format.

Login to Aaghi LMS portal

After  preparing your assignment files , the next step is to log in to the Aaghi LMS portal. Aaghi LMS portal is accessible at  aaghi aiou edu pk.  (Aaghi LMS login link is also given at the end of this article).

You will see the following screen on the Aaghi login page.

AIOU LMS login process is pretty unadorned. Students need to have their login credentials to sign in AIOU Aaghi LMS portal.

Select your course

Once you login to the AIOU LMS portal (aaghi aiou edu pk), your need to select the course for that you want to submit your assignment. Find the ‘My Courses’ tab in the top navigation menu as shown in the image below. If you are on a mobile device you can open the side menu and you will find the ‘My Courses’ button.

Click this ‘My Courses’ button from your mobile or laptop. Then you will find all the courses you are enrolled in. Select the course for which assignment you are submitting.

Select the Assignment

After selecting your required course. You will see the page shown in the picture followed. This page will ask you to select the assignment number you are submitting.

If you are submitting your first assignment then select ‘Assignment # 1’ and so on.

Assignment Status and details

When you select your assignment number, the next page will show you the current status and a brief detail of this particular assignment submission. This page will also be showing you the due date and the remaining time you’ve left to submit this assignment.

If you have already submitted this assignment then this page will also show you your assignment grades here. This page will be showing data as shown in the screenshot below.

Before proceeding, you need to make sure that you have selected the right assignment number and course by checking this assignment details page. Make sure you are not submitting the wrong assignment number or course.

Add Submission

Click the ‘Add Submission button shown at the bottom of the assignment details page.

A new panel will open to submit assignment. If you are on a laptop or computer, you can simply drag and drop the assignment pdf file on the drop area or select the browse button to select your file.

If you are on a mobile device, you need to click the upload button (or icon) and then browse files on your local storage. Select your assignment file and click ‘OK’.

Your assignment submission file will be selected by Aaghi lms portal.

Upload Assignment file

To upload your selected assignment file, click the ‘Upload This File’ button as shown in the snap below.

Save Submission

Your file is uploaded to AIOU Aaghi LMS Portal but your selection is not saved by the system. After uploading the file you will be seeing a page like shown below. You need to click the ‘Save Changes’ button in order to save the assignment on AIOU LMS.

By this step, the process of submitting assignment is completed successfully. Using the same process you can submit your assignments for other courses as well. The process is also the same for Asg no 2 and Asg no 3.

Edit Submitted Assignments

After successfully submitting your assignment to Allama Iqbal Open University Aaghi Learning Management System, you can also change or resubmit your assignment till the deadline of the assignment.

If you want to upload an updated file of an assignment, visit the assignment details page and upload the latest submission easily. But make sure you did not miss the due date as this option is only available before the assignment due date.

• Create your profile by using your email ID, don’t use your mobile number for the creation of your profile.
• Complete the Admission Form and select your required program.
• Upload the required documents and then submit the application form online.
• Click on the fee payment link and download the fee payment challan, and note down your challan number.
• Then submit the challan form, and a successful payment notification will have appeared with an Order ID.
• Write Order ID and Transaction Date on the online admission form in the given space
• Save the Order ID in your record till confirmation of your admission to avoid any trouble.
• You will get an email for proof of your access and get the enrollment AIOU.

AIOU LMS Login Procedure

Following is the AIOU login procedure of the Open Aaghi LMS Portal that the candidates must follow to submit the online AIOU assignments and workshops for the various offered degree programs.

• pen the university website and open the “Aaghi LMS Portal”.
• The students will use the end of the registration number as a username. It means they will add @aiou.edu after their registration number provided by the university, and it will be their username for AIOU enrollment login.
• For the login procedure, the students will enter their challan number for the semester as the password.
• After this process, the candidates can login and send their assignments online and easily join the online workshops. If the students face any difficulty, they can email the respective authorities for assistance.
• Moreover, according to their turn, the candidates are informed that they can email the focused person about the username only once. Sometimes the students send the email four to five times with different      IDs. In such cases, the ID of the students become blocked, so make sure to send the email only once about the LMS-related issues, not about the other problems of books.

AIOU AAGHI LMS 

Students and other instructors have to join the online workshops of AIOU through the AAGHI LMS workshop link. The university provides the updated link of AIOU LMS daily so interested individuals can approach it efficiently. The students can also submit the assignments through the link provided by the university. The candidates can attend the workshop for the spring session of 2023 by following the steps of AIOU LMS login below.

• Open the web portal of the university to access the LMS.
• Login to LMS by using the username and password.
• After login homepage is opened that contains the information of the course in which you are enrolled.
• The candidates can go to the course as per the workshop schedule provided by the university and click on the link to join the workshop.
• Inside the course the university also provides the different modules to the students for their assistance.

To get admission through the AIOU CMS, the students must follow the steps below.

Open the website of the university for admission for AIOU CMS login click on the Admissions

• Select Online Admissions and enter the required information
• Select CMS for continuing students
• Enter your User ID and password and sign in through the CMS portal AIOU
• Choose Course Registration from the dial of CMS AIOU
• Click search, choose semester and courses, then submit
• Click print fee voucher will be shown you can submit the fee after printing it.

Difference between CMS and LMS

The AIOU uses both LMS and CMS for the students so they can have the best educational facilities throughout their degree program completion. LMS stands for learning management system, whereas CMS stands for content management system. An LMS is a platform that the university uses to manage and deliver e-learning, while the other hand, CMS is the generic platform for different forms of online content.

Both platforms are effective in providing online education to students. AIOU make sure to use both LMS and CMS to offer quality education to the students even in the comfort of their homes. 

Learning Management System

A learning management system is an application that can be used to implement and evaluate learning strategies and various other related processes. Nowadays, many higher educational institutes in Pakistan use this tool for conducting online learning classes for different degree programs. LMS consists of two elements such as a server that performs base functionality and a user interface that the students, administrators, and instructors use.

Content Management System

A content management system is software that many institutes use to generate, manage, and amend digital content. It contains different types of content, such as texts, images, files, audio and video, that can be used to deliver online lectures to students. It has two major components, including a content management application (CMA) that relates to the front-end user interface, through which the user can add or remove content from the website.

The additional part is a content delivery application (CDA) that assembles and apprises the website. This tool is easy to use by students for online education and provides a better visual experience that promotes learning for extended periods. So CMS is an effective tool for creating and managing online learning content that can be used in various fields.
