Special Consideration requests
If you experience misadventure or extenuating circumstances and require a longer extension for an assessment you need to submit a request for Special Consideration. Follow the directions located in your subject outline located in Interact 2. These requests are sent to your subject coordinator for their consideration, and approval/rejection.
(14) The Assessment Policy states that a student may ask the relevant Subject Coordinator for an extension of up to seven days of the deadline for an assignment, where unexpected circumstances are likely to prevent them from meeting the deadline.

Credit and Grading System Policies

Penalties for Late Submission
The penalty for late submission of an assessment task (without obtaining the Subject Coordinator's approval for an extension) will be: 10% deduction per day, including weekends, of the maximum marks allocated for the assessment task, i.e. 1 day late 10% deduction, or 2 days late 20% deduction.
