Essay on Mother provided by Vedantu

Mother is a very special and important person for every child. She is the most precious gift of God for anyone. A child can see the world only because of her. She is a friend, parent, guide, and teacher to her child. She takes care of the entire family and turns a house into a beautiful home. She brings up her children with the utmost care, compassion and love. She illuminates our homes with her presence and smile. The word Mother itself brings emotions to us and every child is very emotionally attached to their mothers.

For me, my mother is the symbol of love, honesty, truth and compassion in this world. My mother is an inspiration for me. She is an amazing woman. She is the woman I admire the most. I start my day with my mother’s smile. She is the first one to wake up every morning, every single day. She starts her day at five in the morning by taking our pet for a walk. She then wakes my brother and me and prepares us for school. She takes care of our lunch boxes with different menus every day. She drops us at the bus stop. Her waving hand assures us that she is always there for us no matter what. She helps us with our studies and assignments. My mother is the one to spend sleepless nights when we fall sick. She is always very concerned about our education, health, and happiness. She defines our character every moment. She also compromises her needs and ensures that our needs are taken care of first. She always guides us to do the right things in life and choose the right direction. She does everything possible to make us feel comfortable all the time. She is our best friend. We can share all our secrets with her and whenever we are in jeopardy, we know that our mother would give us some solution. Many times, she becomes a child herself and enjoys to the fullest with us like going out for movies, shopping and playing ludo, cards, etc.

My mother not only takes care of us but also takes care of our father and grandparents. She is the pillar of strength for our father. She is the one who creates strong bonds among all our relatives. She is always on her toes catering to all needs and requirements of my grandparents. She has never stepped back whenever our neighbours and friends approached her for help. She helps in volunteering for community work for the betterment of our society.

She takes care of every household chore without complaining even once. She runs a food business alongside. She has relentless stamina to manage both home and business. She has the immense emotional and physical strength to surmount everyday challenges and obstacles both in business and home.  Sometimes I wonder how she manages everything at the same time. She is so good at multitasking and she does it flawlessly.

Her positive attitude and skills have broadened my strength to stay calm during challenging times. I aspire to be like her and inculcate all her qualities.

A mother is like Mother Nature who always gives unconditionally without any expectations in return. It is not easy to be a living inspiration for someone and to do so requires a life full of positivity, wisdom, conviction and enthusiasm. Mother is not simply a word; it is a whole universe in itself. She is indeed the most important person in everybody's life.

Mother - A Companion of Trouble

My Mother has been a persistent source of inspiration, staying with me through life's ups and downs. Whenever I was in difficulty or was reprimanded by my father, I ran to my mother since she was the only one who could save me. She was always there for me, whether it was a minor homework difficulty or a bigger problem. When I was scared of the dark, she would become my light, guiding me through it. She often spends sleepless nights caring for me when I'm unwell or having a rough day. She would also hold my head on her lap till I fell asleep if I couldn't sleep at night. Above all, even at the darkest of moments, she never leaves my side. My Mother is a teacher, a superhero, and my best friend all rolled into one. She is the foundation of my education and has assisted me in honing my talents and abilities.

Every mother is unique in the eyes of her children. She is an excellent teacher, a wonderful friend, and a strict parent. She also looks after the needs of the entire household. There is only one person who loves us more than our mother, and that is God. Not only for my mother but for every woman who dedicates her life to her family, deserves a standing ovation.

Mother and Mother Earth- Beyond Comparison

Mother is the one who provides warmth to her child. She bears everything for her child's sake. Her arms are the ones that cover and care for her. She is the one who gives rather than takes. Her self-sacrifice...incredible! It's incomprehensible. She is the most patient and prays the most for her child. She is the most honest and, above all, the most caring. In the same manner, Mother Earth is incomparable. She gave birth to living beings, providing food, shelter, and comfort for them to survive in her environment. The mother earth and our mothers are both the origins of all life on the planet. Human beings are created when their mothers give birth to them after conception. The same may be stated of the planet Earth; every living species was created as a result of the presence of this life-giving planet. Both, our mothers and the earth's mother are givers. Our mothers care for us while we are still reliant on them, and the mother earth, like our mothers, supplies nutrition to all living beings that rely on her.

When and Why was Mother's Day celebrated in India?

Every year on the second Sunday in May, Mother's Day is celebrated. Mother's Day is a holiday celebrated in many countries throughout the world to honour, respect, and love mothers. The day allows honouring mothers' accomplishments, maternal relationships, and the significance of mothers in our society. It's a day to recognise and appreciate our mothers' contributions to our lives. And the sacrifices they make to ensure the happiness of their family. Although different nations celebrate the event on different dates, the most popular months for commemoration are March or May. It is a day that reminds people of the value and relevance of mothers in their lives, and it is marked as a day to pay special attention to motherly figures all around the world.

Mother’s Day History

Julia Ward Howe was a well-known reformer and poet. She enlisted with the United States Clean Commission during the Civil War, assisting them in providing hygiene settings for hospitals and ensuring sanitary conditions throughout the care of sick and injured soldiers. Julia Ward Howe proposed a "Mother's Day for Peace" in 1870, which would be dedicated to the celebration of peace and the abolition of war. Howe believed that mothers should join to avert the horrors of war and the loss of life, as reflected in her 1870 "Mother's Day Proclamation," because mothers of mankind bear and feel the cost alone. Nothing new happened in this section until 1907 when it was taken over by Miss Anna M. Jarvis of Philadelphia.

Mother's Day was first observed in the United States in 1908 when a woman named Anna Jarvis wanted to mark Mother's Day as a recognised holiday to honour her mother, Ann Reese Jarvis, a peace campaigner who had died three years before. Anna had a monument for her mother built at West Virginia's St. Andrews Methodist Church, which is today known as the International Mother's Day Shrine. Anna Jarvis wanted to pay tribute to her mother because she thought that a mother is "the person who has done more for you than anybody else in the world."

2. Historical Perspectives on Motherhood

Throughout history, the role and significance of motherhood have evolved as a result of cultural, societal, and economic changes. In ancient societies, motherhood was often idealized and revered, with mothers being seen as the primary caregivers and nurturers of children. In many cultures, the concept of motherhood was tied to the idea of fertility and the ability to bear children, and women who were unable to conceive were often stigmatized. Additionally, the responsibilities and expectations placed on mothers varied widely depending on factors such as social class, ethnicity, and religion. As societies transitioned to more industrialized and modernized forms, the role of mothers also shifted. The rise of the nuclear family and the increasing emphasis on individualized parenting practices led to a redefinition of motherhood. Mothers were expected to not only care for their children but also take on roles outside of the home, leading to new challenges and opportunities. This transition also brought about changes in societal attitudes towards motherhood, with the concept of "good" and "bad" mothers becoming more prominent. Furthermore, historical perspectives on motherhood have been shaped by various social, political, and economic factors. For instance, during times of war or economic hardship, the responsibilities placed on mothers often intensified, as they were expected to maintain stability and provide for their families in the absence of male figures. Additionally, the emergence of feminist movements and women's rights has significantly influenced the way motherhood is perceived and experienced, challenging traditional gender roles and advocating for greater autonomy and equality for mothers. 3. Biological and Evolutionary Aspects of Motherhood

The biological and evolutionary aspects of motherhood play a significant role in shaping the behavior and characteristics of mothers. From a biological perspective, the process of childbirth and the subsequent nurturing of offspring involve complex hormonal and physiological changes in a mother's body. For example, the release of oxytocin during childbirth not only facilitates labor but also promotes maternal bonding and caregiving behavior. Furthermore, the evolutionary aspect of motherhood emphasizes the adaptive significance of maternal instincts and behaviors in ensuring the survival and well-being of offspring. This is evident in the protective nature of mothers across various species and the development of caregiving strategies to meet the specific needs of their young. Moreover, the evolutionary perspective also sheds light on the variation in maternal behavior across different cultures and societies. While certain maternal instincts are universal, the specific caregiving practices and cultural norms surrounding motherhood can vary based on environmental conditions and social dynamics. Understanding the biological and evolutionary underpinnings of motherhood provides valuable insights into the complex interplay between nature and nurture in shaping maternal behavior. It also highlights the central role of mothers in the continuity of life and the perpetuation of species, underscoring their significance in the fabric of existence. Many women experience a profound shift in their sense of identity and purpose, which can have a significant impact on their mental and emotional well-being. The hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy and childbirth can also contribute to mood swings and emotional vulnerability. Additionally, the demands of caring for a child can lead to exhaustion and stress, which can further impact a mother's mental and emotional state. Furthermore, the psychological and emotional impact of motherhood extends beyond the individual experience, as it can also have a profound effect on the dynamics of the family unit. The mother's emotional well-being is closely linked to the emotional health of her children, as research has shown that a mother's mental state can influence her child's development and well-being. It is important for society to recognize and support the psychological and emotional needs of mothers, as their well-being has far-reaching implications for the health and happiness of future generations. Additionally, societal attitudes towards working mothers, single mothers, and mothers of different backgrounds can vary widely, impacting the support and resources available to them. This often leads to high levels of stress and fatigue, as well as feelings of guilt and inadequacy. Another major challenge faced by mothers in modern society is the lack of social support. Many mothers report feeling isolated and overwhelmed by the constant demands of parenting, especially in the absence of a strong support network. This can lead to feelings of loneliness and depression, as well as a heightened risk of burnout. Furthermore, societal expectations and stereotypes surrounding motherhood can create additional challenges for mothers. The pressure to be the perfect mother, as depicted in the media and popular culture, can lead to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. Additionally, mothers often face judgment and criticism from others, leading to increased stress and anxiety. Definition of a Good Mother

Defining a good mother in few words is never an easy task. However in a very simple words we can say that a good mother is the one for whom her child is her world. There are many qualities which I see in my mother which makes her the world’s best mother. She loves her child strongly and deeply without any condition. Apart from showering her love of motherhood she also takes care of her child with a great responsibility.

She is the statue of forgiveness and forgives each and every mistake of ours and also ensures that we realize our mistakes and understand our responsibility. A good mother does every effort to make her child one in a million and sacrifices every comfort of her life so that her child could lead a comfortable life. The selfless love a mother showers on her children is the most valuable thing in this whole world which could never be replaced by anything.

Qualities of a Mother

There are certain natural qualities which already get inherited into a woman on acquiring motherhood. But there are also few qualities which are required for becoming a good mother. The major qualities of a mother are as follows:

Responsible

Acquiring motherhood comes with great responsibility. The responsibility of taking care of child before and after birth is one of the most important qualities of a mother. She is the one who takes care of her child since birth and nurtures him to stand on his own feet.

  • Selfless Love

A mother will always shower her children with her love without anything in return. She always loves her children selflessly in spite of their mischiefs. Her love towards her children always remains the same irrespective of her child’s age.

A mother should always be supportive to their children. She should always stand strong besides her children in all of their ups and downs. She should be always there to support her children in their rightful decisions and interests.

This is the quality which every mother should inculcate on acquiring motherhood. Dealing with kids always requires a high amount of patience as they are still in a growing phase and are not matured enough to understand things at one go. Hence they need to be reminded again and again till they understand and become responsible.

The ability to understand another person’s feelings is called as empathy. A mother should be empathetic towards her child because unless you understand the feelings of your kid you will not be able to understand his/her issue.

Why Mother is Important in our Life?

The importance of mother could be easily understood from the fact that the first word uttered from the mouth of a child is ‘ma ma’. She is the source of life and the reason for our existence. She is the one who can happily sacrifice everything in her life just for the sake of her child’s happiness. Is the first teacher of a child who introduces him to the world and the first best friend with whom we can share all our secrets.

Mothers are the backbone of every family who binds the whole family and unites it into a single but powerful entity. They give us the confidence to face the world and motivate us to achieve success in our life. They are the only one who will never have any ill thoughts against their children and always pray and hope better for them. A good mother acts like a sculptor who moulds her children into beautiful sculptures which are highly appreciated and respected in the society.

My mother is the holy creation of god and a source of providing life to us. She is a sacred statue of selfless love, sacrifices, forgiveness and patience. She is the guiding soul who helps us to progress on the right path and achieve success in our life. Mother’s selfless love towards her children could never be replaced by anything in this world. We as her children should do our best to make her happy and comfortable all the time especially when she becomes old. It is our responsibility to bestow her with the same amount of love, care and understanding as she had showered on us when we were young.

In Australia, it has a long history of many customs for celebrating Mother’s Day. Flowers are given to mothers and then there is a customary church visit.

Initially, it was regarded as a US holiday but later the government allowed the citizens to celebrate it on conditions that it should fall in line with the traditions and ethics of the Chinese people.

In Mexico, Mother’s Day was considered a capitalist holiday, since it was celebrated in the USA. However, social developments in the last 2 decades have promoted the celebrations of Mother’s Day in Mexico.

Although Mother’s Day is a specific day dedicated to mothers only, we should keep in mind to appreciate and honor her all through the year and not just on a single day. After all, she is there for us always and loves us unconditionally, so we should always do special things for her.

Essay on Good Mother for Students and Children

500+ words essay on good mother.

It is a common saying that God could not be present everywhere so he made a mother. The saying is also true as the status of the mother is equivalent to God. She is the one who gave us life and made us stand on our own feet. My mother is the idol of selfless love and ever-ready for me despite being tired. My mother is the one on whom I can completely rely on. She is the one who will never say no to our wishes. She never lets us feel the difference in love and showers any time. My mother is like the sun that chases out all darkness and gives the light of happiness and love upon me.

Definition of a Good Mother

It is difficult to define a good mother in a few words. However, in very simple words I can say that a good mother is the one for whom her child is her world. There are many qualities which I see in her which makes her the world’s best mother. She loves me strongly and deeply without any condition. Apart from all this she also takes care of me with great responsibility.

Thus she is the statue of forgiveness. She forgives each and every mistake of mine and also ensures that I realize my mistakes with responsibility. A good mother does every effort to make her child one in a million. She sacrifices every comfort of her life for the comfort of her child.

Qualities of a Good Mother

There are certain natural qualities which already get inherited into a woman on acquiring motherhood.  Some qualities of a mother are as follows:

Responsible

Acquiring motherhood comes with great responsibility. The responsibility of taking care of the child before and after birth is one of the most necessary qualities of a mother. She is the one who takes care of the child since birth.

Selfless Love

A mother will always shower her children with her love without anything in return. She always loves her children selflessly in spite of their mischiefs. Her love for her children always remains the same irrespective of her child’s age.

A mother should always be supportive of their children. She should always stand strong beside her children in all of their ups and downs. So, she should be always there for supporting her children in their decisions and interests.

This is the quality which every mother should inculcate on acquiring motherhood. The high amount of patience is a must for a mother with a growing child especially.

A mother should always be empathetic for her kids. As her care is the most need for a child.

Why My Mother is Important in My Life?

Her importance could be easily understood from the fact that the first word uttered from the mouth of a child is ‘mama’. She is the source of my life and the reason for my existence. My mother is the backbone of my family. Because she binds the whole family with unity.

She gives me the confidence to face the world and motivate me to achieve success in life. She is the only one who will never have any ill thoughts against me. A good mother acts like a sculptor who molds her children into beautiful sculptures.

Mother: The First Teacher and Guide of a Child

She is the one who started my schooling at home and became my first and lovely teacher. She taught me behavioral lessons and true philosophies of life. She gave birth to me after bearing lots of pain and struggle but in turn, she is always giving me love. In fact, there is no love in this world which is so lasting, strong, selfless, pure and devoted. She is the one who brings lights in my life by removing all the darkness.

My mother is the holy creation of God and a source of providing life to me. She is a sacred statue of selfless love, sacrifices, forgiveness, and patience. She is the guiding soul who helps me always to progress on the right path and achieve success in my life.

I, as her child, will always do my best to make her happy and comfortable all the time especially when she becomes old. It is our responsibility to bestow her with the same amount of love, care and understanding as she did with us when we were young.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/entertainment/alice-munro-s-daughter-sees-outpouring-of-messages-after-essay-on-mother-s-silence-to-her-sexual-abuse-1.6955624 ( CTV Network ) — Warning: The following details may disturb some readers.

Social media saw a flood of messages for Andrea Robin Skinner, daughter of late Canadian author Alice Munro, after an eye-opening personal essay about her sexual abuse by her stepfather published this weekend.

In the essay, published in The Toronto Star on Sunday, Skinner detailed how the Nobel laureate remained in her marriage to husband Gerald Fremlin, even after learning of years of his abuse to Skinner, starting when she was nine years old. Skinner describes writing a letter to Munro detailing the abuse, but receiving no sympathy from her mother, who remained with Fremlin until his death, in 2013.

The information you need to know, sent directly to you: Download the CTV News App

“I … wanted this story, my story, to become part of the stories people tell about my mother,” Skinner wrote. “I never wanted to see another interview, biography or event that didn’t wrestle with the reality of what had happened to me, and with the fact that my mother, confronted with the truth of what had happened, chose to stay with, and protect, my abuser.”

Munro’s Books, founded by the prizewinning short story writer, expressed unequivocal support for Skinner, describing the revelations as “heartbreaking.”

“Along with so many readers and writers, we will need time to absorb this news and the impact it may have on the legacy of Alice Munro, whose work and ties to the store we have previously celebrated,” the statement said. “While the bookstore is inextricably linked with Jim and Alice Munro, we have independently owned since 2014. As such, we are not able to speak on behalf of the Munro family.”

The Victoria bookstore also shared a statement from Skinner’s siblings, Jenny and Sheila, and step-brother, Andrew.

“By acknowledging and honouring Andrea’s truth, and being very clear about their wish to end the legacy of silence, the current store owners have become part of our family’s healing, and are modelling a truly positive response to disclosures like Andrea’s,” the family statement reads.

As Skinner’s story came to light, several writers took to social media to discuss the essay and its impact on the literary world.

Highlighting the segment where Munro told Skinner she had been “told too late” of the abuse “and that “our misogynistic culture was to blame,” writer Beverly Gooden – who created the #WhyIStayed movement to portray the pitfalls of domestic violence – said it caused her to “gasp.”

“It’s not the patriarchy, it’s the you. Good grief,” Gooden wrote in a post on X.

Novelist Lydia Kiesling wrote on how the gravity of Skinner’s revelations impact Munro’s legacy.

“To raise kids & exist you kind of have to pretend the world is not a place where a woman renowned for her depictions of human life could feel sexually competitive with her own child who was assaulted by her husband at age 9 & choose him over her, but it is,” Kiesling wrote on X.

Munro often wrote about the emotional complexities of everyday people.

2019 Pulitzer Prize finalist Rebecca Makkai commented on the “seismic shift” in the collective understanding of the late writer and the difficulties in separating an artist from their work.

“And in a way I can’t explain, it feels like a violation, like we were all in an intimate relationship with work that had a horrid underbelly all along. I want to jump on the pile of her work and somehow magically save it all, assign it to some other writer. But we can’t do that,” Makkai wrote on X.

On the other hand, Joyce Carol Oates, the novelist behind “Black Water,” “What I Lived For” and “Blonde,” expressed her years-long admiration of Munro – sharing her thoughts on the essay despite not reading it.

“This article is behind a pay wall so I have not read it; & if I were to read it, I would probably have no comment. A longtime admirer of Alice Munro & would just want to say that, in her fiction, Munro may have confronted something like this dilemma: a ‘good’ woman seemingly oblivious of a common law husband sexually abusing a child,” the X post reads.

In a follow-up post Oates added it’s “sad” and “shameful,” positing Munro appears to have been “a person of her time & place.” The novelist points to Munro’s work as evidence of that.

“(… Munro) dramatized in her stories: provincial, small-town lives where being married, having a husband however despicable is somehow such a high value, a mother would betray her own daughter. entirely of another era, fortunately not our own except in some quarters in the US in which girls/children are routinely abused by men whom others shield & enable,” Oates wrote.

Many took to social media to applaud Skinner’s courage, including American novelist Brandon Taylor.

“I am so amazed by Andrea Skinner. The courage this took. The strength to actually sit down and write it out. The grace and compassion toward others as well as herself. I’m just grateful to her for this,” the post on X reads.

“Either there’s abuse and the person is a total monster who you could never love, or you love the person and so therefore there can’t really have been abuse,” Montreal-based writer Clementine Morrigan, who’s writing has explored issues of trauma, childhood sexual abuse and incest, told The Canadian Press.

“So what frustrates me so much in our response when we find out that someone who is an important figure or us … either perpetrated abuse or took part by inaction … we actually repeat this pattern.”

Skinner reported the abuse to police in 2005, resulting in Fremlin pleading guilty to a charge of indecent assault.

Alice Munro's daughter alleges she was abused by stepfather and her mom stayed with him

Alice Munro 's daughter is alleging she was sexually abused by her stepfather and that the Nobel Prize-winning author stood by him.

In an essay published Sunday in the Toronto Star , Andrea Robin Skinner, Munro's daughter from her first marriage to James Munro, said she was sexually assaulted by Gerald Fremlin, her stepfather and Munro's second husband, in 1976. She was 9 years old at the time.

In 2005, Fremlin received two years' probation after pleading guilty in Canadian court to assaulting Skinner.

The assault occurred when Skinner went to visit Munro for the summer at her home in Ontario. Fremlin also "made lewd jokes, exposed himself during car rides, told me about the little girls in the neighbourhood he liked, and described my mother's sexual needs," she wrote. Once, in front of Munro, he "told me that many cultures in the past weren't as 'prudish' as ours, and it used to be considered normal for children to learn about sex by engaging in sex with adults," Skinner alleged.

Years later, when she was 25, Skinner says she wrote a letter to her mother telling her about the sexual abuse, but Munro was "incredulous." According to the essay, Fremlin told Munro that he "would kill me if I ever went to the police." Despite what Skinner had told her, the short story writer remained married to Fremlin until his death in 2013.

Alice Munro, Nobel Prize-winning author and master of the short story, dies at 92

"She said that she had been 'told too late,' she loved him too much, and that our misogynistic culture was to blame if I expected her to deny her own needs, sacrifice for her children, and make up for the failings of men," Skinner wrote. "She was adamant that whatever had happened was between me and my stepfather. It had nothing to do with her."

Skinner also said Fremlin's former friends told her mother that he exposed himself to their 14-year-old daughter.

Skinner ended contact with her mother after telling her that Fremlin could never be around her own kids, and the two never reconciled their relationship.

Though she wrote that she was "satisfied" with Fremlin pleading guilty to indecent assault, Skinner also wanted her story to be told and for future interviews and biographies of Munro to wrestle with "the fact that my mother, confronted with the truth of what had happened, chose to stay with, and protect, my abuser."

But Skinner said this did not happen, and due to her mother's fame, "the silence continued."

Alice Munro wins Nobel Prize in literature

The essay comes after Munro, who in 2013 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, died in May at age 92 after suffering from dementia for over a decade.

"I want so much for my personal story to focus on patterns of silencing, the tendency to do that in families and societies," Skinner told the Toronto Star . "I just really hope that this story isn't about celebrities behaving badly … I hope that … even if someone goes to this story for the entertainment value, they come away with something that applies to their own family."

Essay on Influence Of Mother

Students are often asked to write an essay on Influence Of Mother in their schools and colleges. And if you’re also looking for the same, we have created 100-word, 250-word, and 500-word essays on the topic.

Let’s take a look…

100 Words Essay on Influence Of Mother

The role of a mother.

A mother’s role is like the roots of a tree, giving stability and nourishment. From birth, she is a child’s first teacher, showing how to speak, walk, and behave. Her love and care help the child feel safe and happy.

Teaching Values

Mothers teach important life values such as kindness, respect, and honesty. These lessons shape a child’s character. By watching their mothers, children learn how to treat others and make good choices.

Support and Encouragement

A mother supports her child’s dreams. She encourages them to try new things and is there to comfort them if they fail. Her belief in them helps them to succeed.

Setting Examples

Mothers set examples by their actions. If a mother works hard, is polite, and shows love to others, her children are likely to do the same. They imitate what they see at home.

Emotional Bond

250 words essay on influence of mother, the power of a mother’s love.

A mother’s love is like a strong foundation for a building. Just like a good base keeps a house steady, a mother’s love makes children feel safe and confident. From the moment a child is born, a mother’s affection helps shape their heart and mind.

Teaching and Learning

Mothers are our first teachers. They teach us to speak, eat, and understand right from wrong. They share stories and lessons that stay with us for life. Even when we grow up, the things our mothers taught us guide us like a compass.

Mothers show us how to act by setting examples. When a mother treats others with kindness, her children learn to be kind. If she works hard and faces problems with courage, her children see this and learn to do the same.

Emotional Support

When we feel sad or hurt, mothers are often the ones we turn to. They listen to our problems and make us feel better. A hug or kind words from a mother can chase away fears and dry tears.

Mothers Shape the Future

Mothers do not just influence their children; they shape the future. The lessons and love they give their children spread out into the world as their children grow and become part of society. In this way, mothers have a big impact on what the world will be like tomorrow.

500 Words Essay on Influence Of Mother

A mother plays a very important role in our lives. From the moment we are born, she is our first teacher, protector, and guide. She shows us love, teaches us right from wrong, and supports us in every step we take. The way a mother treats her child can shape the child’s future in many ways.

One of the first things a mother does is teach her child. She helps the child learn to talk, walk, and understand the world. A mother’s words and actions serve as lessons that the child carries for life. When a mother reads stories, sings songs, or even talks to her child, she is helping the child’s brain grow. This early education at home is just as important as what children learn in school.

Love and Emotional Support

The love of a mother is powerful. It can make a child feel safe and happy. When a child is scared or sad, a mother’s hug can make everything seem better. This love helps children grow up to be strong and confident. Children who feel loved by their mothers often do better in school and have better relationships with others.

Setting an Example

Children watch everything their mothers do. If a mother treats others with kindness, her child is likely to do the same. When a mother works hard, faces challenges bravely, and shows respect to others, she sets a good example for her child to follow. This is how children learn to be good people.

Health and Well-Being

A mother also has a big impact on her child’s health. She makes sure the child eats healthy food, stays clean, and gets enough sleep. These habits are important for a child’s physical health. A mother also helps with a child’s mental health by listening to the child’s worries and giving advice.

Discipline and Boundaries

A mother must sometimes be strict. She sets rules to keep her child safe and to teach the child how to behave. When a child makes a mistake, a mother explains what went wrong and helps the child learn. This discipline is not about being harsh but about helping the child understand the difference between right and wrong.

Encouragement and Belief

Mothers often believe in their children even when the children do not believe in themselves. They encourage their children to try new things and to keep going even when it’s tough. This support can make a child feel brave enough to chase their dreams.

In conclusion, the influence of a mother is deep and lasting. She teaches, loves, sets an example, looks after health, sets rules, and encourages her child. These influences help shape who the child becomes. A mother’s role is not easy, but it is one of the most important in a child’s life. Every mother’s influence is unique, but all mothers share the job of helping their children grow up into happy, healthy, and good adults.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

The Strategic and Symbolic Importance of the Battle of Bunker Hill

This essay is about the Battle of Bunker Hill a pivotal engagement during the American Revolutionary War. Fought on June 17 1775 the battle showcased the strategic importance of the hills surrounding Boston where American colonial troops fortified their positions to challenge British control. Despite their lack of formal training the American forces led by Colonel William Prescott displayed remarkable resolve and resourcefulness. Although the British ultimately captured the hills their victory came at a high cost with significant casualties that underscored the colonists’ tenacity. The battle’s significance extended beyond its immediate tactical outcomes as it boosted American morale united the colonies and demonstrated their ability to stand against British military power. Bunker Hill remains a symbol of courage and the unyielding pursuit of independence.

How it works

Even so the most of the combat happened at Breed’s Hill in Charlestown Massachusetts a short distance away the Battle of Bunker Hill fought on June 17 1775 is one of the most significant early-stage conflicts of the American Revolution. The battle which saw both American colonial troops and British forces is well-known for its significant symbolic significance for the emerging American Revolution as well as its tactical ramifications.

The American soldiers’ strategic fortification of the hills surrounding Boston which gave them a vantage point from which to bombard the British troops positioned in the city was the driving factor behind the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Under Colonel William Prescott’s direction the untrained farmers and craftsmen that made up the colonial militia quickly erected defensive posts. These guys were resolved to fight British rule and stand up for their right to self-governance even though they had no official training.

The British attacked the American positions from the front after realizing how dangerous the fortified hills were. The British army under by General William Howe thought that attacking the unprepared colonists directly would quickly overwhelm them. They did however underestimate the American fighters’ tenacity and cunning. To preserve their limited ammo and make sure every shot mattered Prescott is credited with telling his soldiers to “do not fire until you see the whites of their eyes.” This command demonstrated the colonial forces’ practical attitude as well as their persistence and resourcefulness.

The battle unfolded with intense ferocity. The British troops clad in their distinctive red uniforms made multiple attempts to overrun the American positions. Each time they were met with fierce resistance and devastating volleys of musket fire. The narrow and steep ascent to the American fortifications compounded the British difficulties leading to significant casualties. Despite their superior numbers and training the British soldiers struggled to make headway against the determined colonists.

Ultimately the British forces managed to capture the hills but their victory came at a tremendous cost. Over 1000 British soldiers were killed or wounded a staggering number that underscored the ferocity of the engagement. The American forces though ultimately forced to retreat due to dwindling supplies and ammunition inflicted substantial damage on their opponents. The heavy British losses in a single battle sent shockwaves through their command and provided a significant morale boost to the American cause.

The importance of the Bunker Hill Battle extends beyond its immediate tactical outcomes. It marked a pivotal moment in the American Revolution demonstrating that the colonial forces were capable of standing up to the British military might. This realization had profound implications for both sides. For the British it shattered any illusions of a quick and decisive victory over the colonies. For the Americans it galvanized their resolve proving that they could indeed challenge and potentially overcome one of the most powerful armies in the world.

Moreover the battle served as a rallying point for the colonies. News of the confrontation and the bravery exhibited by the colonial militia spread rapidly inspiring widespread support for the revolutionary cause. It underscored the shared struggle for liberty and self-determination uniting disparate colonies in a common purpose. The sacrifice and valor displayed at Bunker Hill became a potent symbol of the American fight for independence fueling the resolve to continue the struggle despite the formidable odds.

In a broader historical context the Battle of Bunker Hill exemplifies the complexities of revolutionary warfare. It highlights the interplay between strategy morale and symbolism in shaping the course of a conflict. The battle’s legacy endures as a testament to the courage and determination of those who fought for American independence. It remains a touchstone in the narrative of the Revolution reminding us of the profound impact that individual acts of bravery and collective resolve can have on the course of history.

In conclusion the Battle of Bunker Hill was a watershed moment in the American Revolutionary War. Its strategic significance coupled with its powerful symbolic resonance played a crucial role in shaping the trajectory of the conflict. The battle demonstrated the capability and determination of the colonial forces challenging the British military supremacy and galvanizing support for the American cause. As such Bunker Hill stands as a testament to the enduring power of resilience and the unyielding pursuit of freedom.
