Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) is the fifth-largest open university in India. YCMOU main campus is located in Nashik, Maharashtra. It is recognised by the UGC and approved by AICTE. YCMOU is also a member of statutory bodies like AIU, ACU, and COL. YCMOU offers more than 100 courses at the UG, PG, and Research levels. YCMOU admission to the UG and PG courses (except MBA, MPH, Ph.D.) is solely based on merit in the qualifying exam. The University provides BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BFA & BCA courses under the UG level and for PG level programmes, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MPH,M.Li.Sc & MBA courses are offered, in multiple disciplines. The application form can be filled online by visiting the official website of YCMOU. After completion of online registration, students should download the receipt of online fee (INR 100) payment. Final admission is offered only after the submission of receipt at the designated study center.

• Register yourself by filling the application form carefully and pay the application fee of INR. 100/-
• Download the duly-filled application form and send the same along with the mandatory documents to any of the YCMOU regional centers

YCMOU follows the Odd and Even semester pattern for its various UG and PG courses. The university conducts examinations for even semesters, usually in the month of May–June and for odd semesters in November–December. YCMOU also provides the opportunity for revaluation of answer keys. Students who are not satisfied with the marks can apply for revaluation by paying the required fee. YCMOU results can be checked and downloaded by visiting the official website of the university. Students can access the result by selecting the program and entering their registration number.

There are limited seats available for the admission. University thinks students should be less but education should be higher than the cost. Admissions are 2 ways offline and online. Offline admissions are better because the admission staff gives the full details of their course and their experience. Their is semester pattern for exams which is better than yearly pattern

Open University and your learning

• Just student friendly study environment and staff were cooperative

• Open university does not add any skill or advantage in my education
• Need overall imporvement in distance education platforms like that of regular university learning people

After completing of 12th, I was admitted to an open university directly. The application forms and fee details will be given at the study centre in the respected city, in which you are living No need for any reservation benefits, because it is an open university. No such improvement is required. But it can be made online (when I took admission it was an offline and cumbersome process which I had followed)

My college review.

• They provide us book very early. At the time of admission.
• Books are written by there author. These are easy to understand.
• They don't take extra curriculum activities.
• They only take clas once in a week. And even not.

The admission process is easy. Simply, you have to give a Xerox copy of your hsc result, and of TC of the previous college, and one passport-size photo. They will select you on the basis of your percentage. And they also provide us book. You will have to pay a fee at the time of admission. And the rest of it is also nice.

Eligibility - we need to complete at least 12th to take admission in B.A. (with min. 40%). We can find the application form and all things related to admission on ycmou digital university website.
