Entrance Exams & Admissions : Aligarh Muslim University is a central university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. To enroll in AMU one needs to qualify the entrance examination the course they applied to. Suppose you are applying graduation, you should've qualified your 12th standard or equivalent degree with atleast 55% aggregate marks. Cut off marks are generally different for girls and boys as they do not study in the same campus because AMU is not co-ed till graduation. The cut off scheme basically depends on the difficulty level of the entrance which can lie between 50-60%.

Fees & Scholarships : Aligarh Muslim University, [AMU] Aligarh Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 8675 per semester. AMU is the cheapest university in my opinion. The quality of education I receive in AMU is undescribably best. We have very qualified professors who give their best in teaching us. Besides, there are hundreds of scholarships that are offered to students. Almost 95% of the students got scholarships.

Placements & Internships : Many MNCs hire graduates and postgraduates with a good amount of salary. Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Finance roles are offered to the students. The salary package offered usually ranges between INR 5-6 Lakhs per annum.

Academics & Faculty : The schedule of college is from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Each class is of 50 minutes and there are 4-6 classes daily, 6 days a week. Projects and assignments are given on a regular basis to ensure one is connected with their classmates. Every faculty has the best professors who would help you throughout your graduation. They are very friendly, their method of teaching is very good and you will enjoy the classes. My overall experience is excellent. You will gain knowledge in your area of study and get a job through campus placement.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 20 campus hostels; 14 for boys and 6 for girls. Hostel facilities include dining charges, full hostel accommodation, laundry, various special dinner, and electricity. Food is of good quality, cooked with proper hygiene. The infrastructure is excellent and campuses are very beautiful and are spread in the whole city. Libraries are air-conditioned

Clubs & Associations : There are many different clubs for students like drama, music (all forms), dance, debate, cultural, literature, art & craft, horse riding, sports, etc. Each kind of fest is organized on a very large level and prizes are given. From time to time workshops are organized to enhance the skills of students. AMU life is fun and full of adventures. It gives you the best platform, so it depends on how much you can extract.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : First I have to give the test then got the result and I was selected in my course so I got admission here in Aligarh Muslim University.

Fees & Scholarships : 25000 is the college fee and scholarships are available 

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 7 to 10 hostels for boys year and hostel fee is nearly 20000 and I am also PG outside and my fee is here 8000 rupees and the food quality is not good but it causes 4000 rupees quality of classrooms labs laboratories dining hall is 5 and another infrastructure is excellent

Clubs & Associations : Jaipur all types of festivals like management technical supports and cultural activities are here the college life is good.

AMU PhD Admission 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria

• A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree Programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree Programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree Programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree Programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. OR
• M.Phil. Programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. OR
• A 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree Programme (with research) with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• Provided that the relevant subject(s) for each disciplines shall be as approved by the Academic Council from time to time on the recommendation of the concerned Board of Studies (hereinafter referred to as BoS).
• Provided that a candidate, working in an externally funded research project in the University, who is otherwise eligible, will be eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. programme while continuing to work in the project subject to justification by the Principal Investigator of the project that the subject of the project and the proposed Ph.D. topic of the candidate are in consonance.
• Provided that an Assistant Professor (Contractual) and Guest Teacher of this University will be eligible to apply for admission to part-time Ph.D. programme if s/he fulfils the eligibility criteria and further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by the Academic Council from time to time.
• Provided that a permanent School teacher or Nursing Tutor of this University with five years of regular service will be eligible to apply for admission to part-time Ph.D. programme if s/he fulfils the eligibility criteria and further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by the Academic Council from time to time. 
• Provided that a permanent Non-teaching employee of this University with five years of regular service will be eligible to apply for admission to part-time Ph.D. Programme if s/he fulfills the eligibility criteria and further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by the Academic Council from time to time.

• Sign Up using your Email and password. Your Dashboard will be available to you for filling the form.
• Candidate eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme in more than one Faculty of the University can apply for the same but such a candidate will have to fill separate Application Form for each Faculty. However, She/he can apply only in a maximum of two disciplines within the same Faculty.
• Scanned copy of colored Photo with white background, Signature, and Thumb Impression (Left Hand Thumb Impression for every candidate) of the Candidate in JPG format ONLY.
• Email address & Mobile number.

Application Fee

Selection Process

• Selection of candidates in Ph.D. programme will be made through an admission test comprising (a) a written test and (b) a presentation-cum-interview (for those who qualify the written test and are short-listed for presentation-cum-interview); subject to exemptions.
• Candidates who qualify for fellowship/ scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET / GATE / CEED and similar National level tests with a score more than or equal to the qualifying marks of General Category, valid at the time of admission, are exempted from appearing in the written test. However, they must appear in the presentation-cum- interview in person to become eligible for selection.
• Foreign nationals are exempted from appearing in the written test. However, they shall be required to appear in the presentation-cum-interview in person or through video conferencing.

AMU PhD Entrance Test Details

• The test paper, carrying 80 marks shall be of 90 minutes duration.
• Section A: Research Aptitude / Methodology It shall be of 45 minutes’ duration. There shall be 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each on Research Aptitude / Methodology.
• Section B: Subject Specific It shall be of 45 minutes’ duration. There shall be 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each covering equitably, as far as possible, all topics of syllabus.
• There shall be no negative marking.
• Candidates should secure 50% or more marks in the Written Test to be eligible for Presentation-cum-Interview. However, a relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed for Differently Abled candidates, and they should secure a minimum of 45% marks in the Written Test to be eligible for Presentation-cum-Interview.

Presentation-cum-Interview

• All candidates who qualify the written test and those who were exempted shall be called for Presentation-cum-Interview. In addition, Foreign national candidates shall also be required to appear for Presentation-cum Interview.
• Presentation-cum-Interview shall be of 20 marks and will normally be held within 1-2 weeks following the declaration of the list of candidates short-listed.

• Based on combined merit of marks in written test and Presentation–cum-Interview for each area of specialization, candidates shall be selected for admission equal to number of vacancies notified in the area concerned, strictly on merit as per admission policy of the University and notified under the signatures of the Dean and Chairman concerned after approval of the Vice-Chancellor. However, foreign nationals shall be considered for admission only on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination and Presentation–cum-Interview, subject to the approval by the BoS of the synopsis of the proposed research work specified by them in their Application Form.
• Provisional admission shall be offered to the selected candidates and they shall be asked to join within a period of one month from the date of the offer. Under exceptional circumstances, an additional one-month period may be given by the Vice Chancellor to the selected candidates to join the programme. However, foreign nationals shall be allowed to complete the admission within a period of six months from the date of the offer made to them, subject to the candidate acquiring a research visa to pursue the Ph.D. programme.

About the programme.

PhD programme in Business Administration was launched in 2000 by AIMA in collaboration with Aligarh Muslim University. The programme is divided in two phases – Foundation Phase and Research Phase. The Foundation Phase of the programme is conducted by AIMA and the Research Phase of the programme is conducted by AMU.

Foundation Phase

• The foundation programme comprises of two modules of compulsory courses, four courses on General Management, four courses in the area of specialization and two special courses.
• Module I & II comprise of first semester of the Foundation Phase and Module III & IV comprise the second semester of the Foundation Phase. On successful completion of the Foundation Phase the candidates will be awarded “Advanced Diploma in Management” by AIMA-CME.
• The registration to foundation programme is valid for only three years from the time of admission after which one has to apply afresh to the programme. The minimum duration to complete the Foundation Programme is one year.

Research Phase

On successful completion of the Foundation Phase, the candidates are required to submit & present the research synopsis before the Research Committee at AMU. Candidates whose synopses are approved by Research Committee will be registered for Doctoral Research work Phase. Admission to the Doctoral Research Work Phase is highly competitive. Candidates are given a maximum of two chances to get their synopsis approved by the Research Committee.

The candidates are eligible to submit his/her thesis after a minimum period of two years from the date of registration in phase II of PhD (Business Administration) Programme. A maximum period of four years, from the date of registration, is allowed for submission of thesis for the award of PhD (Business Administration).

On successful presentation of the final thesis, the candidates are awarded the Doctorate Degree (PhD – Business Administration) by AMU.

Methodology

The entire programme is conducted through face to face sessions and regular counseling by experts, external and internal guides. The course pack comprising of text books, reading material, assignments, etc. is provided to each candidate. Personal Contact Session is organized at AIMA, New Delhi during the Foundation Programme. Attendance at Personal Contact Session is compulsory.

Eligibility Norms

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Management or allied subjects from Commerce, Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. or a PGDM/PGDITM approved by AICTE with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade OR Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification which are considered equivalent to Master Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or a minimum 5 years of teaching experience as full time Faculty in a Management Institute approved by AICTE or affiliated to a University.

Working managers with inclination towards academics and teaching faculty of B-Schools.

Senior Management Professionals to upgrade their skills and competencies and gain deeper insights into industry specific problems.

The quality of the rooms provided for the hostelers is pretty decent, according to the hostel. The room is double-shared, having beds, two separate almirahs, 2 study tables with table lamps, a cooler and a fan. It also has a facility for parking bicycles for the students.

This university returns on investment

Considering the fact that it is a government college and is quite an old one as well, I would say it is decent in terms of Infrastructure. A well established library is there along with Wi-Fi and labs facilities also being available. Hostel is not that good. I don't recommend staying in the hostel.

Yes the infrastructure of this University is outstanding, because in this University, they provide good hostels, big libraries and wifi campus , campus is too much big and different laboratories according to the course wise, many ground for every sports.

As per your question, external student is someone who completes the course without attending the lectures physically. Internal student are someone who attends the classes physically.

If you have passed BA externally, then you won't be getting the certificate as internal student.

Your interest in studying or working entirely relies on you.

• In a reputable institution or university, you can pursue an MSc in Mathematics, an MBA, or an MCA [I don't recommend MCA]. To gain admission to IITs and NITs, you can sit the JAM exam.
• If you are interested in research, you can apply for TIFR and BARC.
• If you are creative, you may enrol in professional programmes in photography, fashion design, web design, web development, application development, animation, and visual effects.
• If you are a patient and smart worker, you can prepare for CS. Don't even attempt it if you lack patience.
• By taking the IBPS and SBI tests, you may work in the banking industry. Your future is bright and will pay well.
• For gov't jobs, you need practise for the SSC CHSL, CGL, and CDS exams. You may also take the AFCAT.

Candidates for the PhD Defence and Homeland Security recruitment must be able to justify :

• Either a funding dedicated to their doctoral thesis scholarship awarded for 3 years for a minimum amount of 1200€/month (ministerial allocation, AID, Cifre, CEA, CNES, ADEME, Region, ANR, funding by an international organization, etc.)
• Either justify a salary and be made available to carry out a thesis in continuing education or validation of acquired experience (VAE)

Application Process

The future candidate must compile an application file, including CV, covering letter, copies of diplomas (Master obtained with AB minimum required) and thesis project. The application file has to be transmitted in PDF form by email to the PhD Program Director.

The application file is then examined by the PhD program Council.

Candidates are notified of their acceptance in the PhD Program.

Participation in the PhD Program does not require additional fees to those of the annual PhD registration at Aix-Marseille University.

• A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree Programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree Programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree Programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree Programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. • Candidates who qualify for fellowship/ scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET / GATE / CEED and similar National level tests with a score more than or equal to the qualifying marks of General Category, valid at the time of admission, are exempted from appearing in the written test. Aligarh Muslim University admission process typically starts in February each year. AMU offers over 300 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels including Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Humanities, and IT. The applications for AMU courses can be submitted online at oaps.amuonline.ac.in. Candidates can gain admission through the AMU Entrance Exam (AMUEE) or other national-level exams recognized by the university. 

AMU admits students in two ways ie via the Departmental Admission Test (held in Aligarh) and through the CUET Entrance Exam (conducted at designated Centers). Admission to the B.Sc. (H)/ BA (H)/ B. Com (H) and BSW programs are based on applicants' performance in the CUET  or AMU's Admission Test (All India Level).  B.Tech / B.Arch admissions are based on the AMUEEE exam, which is held at several venues, whilst BE (Evening) admissions are based on a written examination.

• A valid NEET score is required for admission to MBBS , BDS, and BUMS courses.
• Only the respective departments of AMU conduct MCA / M.Sc./ MA/ M.Ed / MFA/ M.Li.Sc. / M.P.Ed./ MIRM/ MFA and MHRM entrance examinations.
• Candidates who have qualified for the GATE exam are eligible to apply for the MTech program. AMU's Departmental Admission Test is used to fill any leftover seats.
• Admission to MD/MS and MDS programs is reliant on a valid NEET PG or NEET MDS score, respectively.
• To grant admission to the Ph.D. program, AMU administers a Written Test followed by an Interview.

At the undergraduate level, Aligarh Muslim University provides BA (H), B.Sc. (H), B. Com (H), BFA, B.P.Ed, and B.Ed programs in a variety of specialties. The admission details for the UG courses offered by Aligarh Muslim University are tabulated below.

• After obtaining the Diploma in Secretarial Practices, candidates may apply for the B. Com (H) program.
• Seats are also allocated for Kashmiri Migrants and applicants from approved Madrasas or Institutions in BA (H) programs.
• It is important to remember that the Departmental Entrance Test is only held in Aligarh.

Candidates' performance in NEET is used to determine acceptance to AMU's MBBS, BDS, and BUMS (Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat) programs, which is followed by counselling. Pre-Tib (BUMS) admission is available via AMU's Department-based Admission Test. The minimum qualifying requirements are 10+2 (PCB) with a 50 percent aggregate score. The table below shows the AMU MBBS, BDS, and BUMS Admission details.

AMU provides M.Sc., MA, M.Ed., M. P. Ed, M. Com, MTTM, MFA, and LL.M courses in a variety of fields at the postgraduate level. The required qualifying requirements are a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate subject with a cumulative grade point average of at least 50%. The minimal requirements for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed programs are a B.Ed. and B.P.Ed degree, respectively. Final admission is determined by a student's performance on the Departmental Admission Test.

Aligarh Muslim University offers full-time MTech, MBA, and MCA programs for two and three years, respectively. MTech programs need a BE/ BTech in a relevant area, while MBA and MCA programs just require a Bachelor's degree. Students should be aware that mathematics is a required subject at the undergraduate level to gain entry to the MCA program.

MBA (IB) admission tests are held in Kolkata, Aligarh, and Kozhikode, whereas MBA (Agribusiness Management) entrance examinations are held solely in Aligarh. Final acceptance is based on a group discussion and an interview.

Candidates who have passed the GATE exam are eligible for M.Tech admission. AMU conducts a separate admissions exam in Aligarh for some of the open seats. Refer to the table below to know more about AMU MTech, MBA, MCA & M. Arch Admission 2024.

Note:  The MBA and MBA (IB) admissions examinations will consist of a three-hour written test (200 marks), followed by an interview and group discussion (50 marks).

MD/MS programs are also available at AMU. At the postgraduate level, there are MDS, M. Ch programs, and Mahir-e-tib programs. MD/MS admission is determined by the results of the NEET PG exam, which is followed by counseling. 

Admission to MDS and M. Ch is determined by the NEET MDS and NEET SS scores. MBBS graduates can apply for MD and MS programs, as well as MS/ DNB for the M. Ch program. 

Admission to Mahir-e-Tib/ Mahir-e-Jarahat is done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Students holding BUMS degree can apply for admission to this course. 

The courses along with the specializations, eligibility criteria, and selection criteria are mentioned in the table below: 

Admission to Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma, and Diploma programs in various fields are granted based on a student's performance in an admission exam administered by several AMU departments. 

Candidates with a UG, 10+2, or Certificate are eligible to apply for these programs.

AMU also provides admission to Ph.D. programs in a variety of subjects. Admissions for Ph.D. programs are usually held in August of each year. Admission is provided based on an 80-point written exam, followed by a presentation/interview (30 marks).

On or before the application deadline, the fully completed application form must be sent to AMU's Office of Controller of Examinations.

Candidates who have completed the NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR will be excluded from the Entrance Test, however, they must still attend the Presentation/Interview phase.

AMU Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the proposed field of research with at least 55% (50% for reserved categories) aggregate marks from any recognized university.

For a PhD with specialization in Engineering and Technology (Part-Time), candidates must have 55% (50% for reserved categories) marks in the related field of study along with a minimum of years of relevant experience.

AMU Ph.D Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted based on the results of the Entrance Test, which will be followed by a presentation and interview. To be considered for an interview, candidates must obtain at least 50% in the written examination.

Aligarh Muslim University has a single application process for all undergraduate and graduate programs. The AMU Notice about admissions information is updated on the University's official website regularly. Fill out the application form online by following the instructions below:

• Visit AMU's official website.
• Register as a new user by entering your name, address, and course preference.
• Log in using the username and password you created when you registered.
• Fill out the form with your personal and academic information. Photo and signature should be uploaded.
• Fill out the Aligarh Muslim University Admission Form and submit it with a credit/debit card or net banking payment.
• After you've double-checked the application form and clicked the submit button, you'll be sent to a page where you may complete it.
• Take a printout of the completed form for future use.

Ans. No, you do not need to register more than once to apply for multiple courses at AMU. For a candidate to apply for several courses at AMU, just a single registration is required.

Ques. What image formats must be used while filling out the Aligarh University application form?

Ans. According to Aligarh University's regulations, a scanned copy of a vivid image with a white backdrop, signature, and thumb impression (left-hand thumb impression) must all be in JPG/JPEG format. Each file should be between 20KB and 100KB in size.

Yes, I had to clear the entrance exam for the BALLB course at Aligarh Muslim University. No interview or GD was held nor it will be going to happen. I was eager to pursue law and as per my perception AMU's law faculty is the best overall

Yes, firstly we give a written test and after qualifying for the test we have to qualify fthe Group discussion and the personal interview also. Aligarh Muslim University is the central government university which is located in Aligarh, UP.

Very Good in Academics, But Campus life would be better

• Infrastructure have no competition. It's infrastructure is like an old fort. Every department building has been made at the time of Kings, nawabs and English govt. So all the building has that vibe of fort.
• Campus life is great since there is no ragging. Seniors are very humble and yeah they are managing their hectic workload and they don't have much time to do ragging but also they are ready to help always. They provide us some notes from the earlier students in a fresher party. So they are supportive.
• Room Allotment:- Once Someone get admitted he got alloted his Hostel in few days but he will not get any room in next 2-3 years. People who has their relatives in office or living in rooms can only get the opportunity to live in the campus otherwise we have to pay a good amount for living.
• I don't like the outsiders to entry with their bikes and cars in the campus they use our beautiful university as a national highway. They are rushing without any hesitation sometimes snatchers came in and take gadgets and money from the University students at the cost of gunpoint only.

Many reasons made me choose this University. I have heard that a university has a student union that attracts me always and Aligarh Muslim University has a good number of hostel rooms also they provide food at a very low cost which saves me money compared to get admit to DU and living in Delhi.

• I like the campus life as it is quite amazing it provides a huge campus area which consists of many gardens etc
• Faculty here is quite frank and there is a good teacher student relation here at amu
• Infrastructure is a bit older I think it should be modernized
• Placements before COVID were quite good but not now

I live in Aligarh and hence prefer amu it provides good placements as compared to any other colleges at reasonable fees, An entrance exam known As AMUEEE is held every year for intake which comprises basic questions at a lower level compared to JEE.

ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY: From the view of a student of AMU

• The infrastructure here the architecture and the greenery perfect for studies . The collage and hostel both are wifi enabled.
• The culture here seniors treat juniors as their younger brother and ready to help them every time they need.
• The hostel administration they are awfull they . They always do their work with laziness and then complain us that we never informed them on time . Life a month ago I complained about the door of the bathroom is broken it is still not repaired.
• The food of my hostle . That is awfull specially on Sundays and Wednesdays. They always pour extra oil over all the dish they cook making it hard to eat.

The first factor is the ranking of the engineering faculty of Aligarh Muslim University which is 32 and when I joined back in 2022 it was 35. The rank itself suggests it is progressing. Aligarh Muslim University is one of the best central Universities of India! The admission process is quite simple and standard! We need to clear a national-level entrance test called AMU BSc entrance! There are a total of 100 questions 75 from PCM and 25 from English! The expected cut-off is around 50! I prepared the test using an AMU entrance guide! And 11th 12th class NCERT!

After the entrance exam, 2 months later i got my results and i got selected for B.A. hons. Economics. The procedure of the admission was quite simple. All of the formalities were done online on the official website of the university itself. I really like my college, it was my dream college to be in. The academic education and extra curricular activities, both are encouraged in our university. But there are also a few negative aspects of our university such as the results of end semester are very delayed, there are a few mistakes in the result sometimes but eventually they are corrected.

AMU has started counselling for admission to UG, PG, and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2024-25. Important updates about AMU Counselling 2024 are as follows:

• AMU will release the Firm List-1 for BTech, MBA, BALLB, LLM, B.Sc./Diploma (Paramedical), M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.A.(Mass Communication), and other programs on July 12 and July 13, 2024.
• Registrations, choice filling, and uploading of documents for BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc Agriculture, MA, M.Sc, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Com, M.Ed, BVA, MVA, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, M.Lib.Sc, Diploma, and PG Diploma courses Round 01 counselling will be done from July 08 to July 10, 2024. AMU Firm List-1 for admission to BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc Agriculture, and Departmental test courses will be released on July 17 and July 18, 2024.
• Round 01 counselling registrations, choice filling, and uploading of documents for B.E. (Evening)/ B.Ed. / M.C.A./ Bridge Course & all Courses under CPC will be done from July 10 to July 12, 2024. Firm List-1 for these courses will be released on July 20 and July 21, 2024.
• The last date to submit the online application form for the Post Doctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC) in specializations like Critical Care Medicine, Neuro Anesthesia and more under the Department of Anaestheology, J.N. Medical College, AMU has been extended till August 20, 2024 (August 27, 2024 with late fee).

AMU offers over 300 courses at UG, PG, and Doctorate levels. Admissions to these courses are based on the entrance exam conducted by AMU. The AMU admission process begins in the month of February every year. Applications for AMU courses can be done online through oaps.amuonline.ac.in. AMU offers UG courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Etc. Admissions to AMU UG courses are based on the Admission/Departmental tests conducted by AMU. However, Admissions to several BA (Hons.), BSc.(Hons.), and BVoc. programs are done on the basis of CUET UG exam scores and counseling. For AMU UG medical courses NEET UG scores are considered during counseling. The basic eligibility criteria for admission is to complete 10+2 from a recognised board of education. The course wise eligibility and selection criteria is tabulated below: 

AMU offers PG programs in the discipline of Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Etc. Admissions to AMU UG courses are based on the Admission/Departmental tests conducted by AMU. However, admissions to PG medical courses are based on NEET PG exam scores followed by counseling. The basic eligibility criteria for admission is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute. AMU also offers Ph.D. in various disciplines at Doctorate level. Ph.D. admissions are generally conducted in the month of August every year. Admission is granted on the basis of Written Test followed by Presentation/ Interview. The duly-filled application form is required to be submitted to the Office of Controller of Examination, AMU on or before the last date of application. 

Note: NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR qualified candidates will be exempted from the Entrance Test but they need to appear in The Presentation cum Interview round.

Aligarh Muslim University follows a common application Process for all the courses offered at UG and PG level. Application form can be filled online by following the below-listed steps:

• Visit the University website www.amucontrollerexams.com.
• Candidate should then register online and provide his / her correct and functional email because the username and password etc. will be sent on this email.
• Candidates should register only once for applying to the multiple courses. 
• After Registering candidate should login using his/her username and password. Dashboard of the candidate will be available to him/her for filling the form. 
• The candidate should fill his/her Profile carefully. Click on Save option.
• After saving the Profile, the candidate will be asked to review and confirm that the particulars entered are correct. 
• Candidate will not be able to Edit/Update his/her Profile after confirmation. If a candidate finds any mistake in his/her Profile after confirmation, then he/she will have to re-register with different Username and Password to complete all the entries afresh.
• Candidates should fill details of his/her educational qualifications by providing the name of all examinations passed, including qualifying examination, year of passing, Examination Roll No., University/Board from where passed, and the percentage/CGPA obtained. 
• Upload the important Documents that are required for Admission along with thumb impressions and coloured photographs.
• Submit the Application fee through online mode only. The admission fee is not accepted in offline mode. 

• The Application Form is submitted electronically the moment the candidate makes the payment of the processing charges and payment is successful. 
• Candidates must take the printout of the Application form and keep it for future reference.

Ques. Do I have to register multiple times to apply for different courses at AMU?

Ans. No, you don’t have to register yourself multiple times. Only Single Registration is sufficient for a candidate to apply for the multiple courses at AMU.

Ques. What are the required formats required while filling up the application form at AMU?

Ans. As per the AMU guidelines, the format of a scanned copy of a colored Photo with white background, Signature, and Thumb Impression (Left Hand Thumb Impression) must be in JPG/JPEG format only. The file size of each should be between 20KB to 100KB

Ques. What factors can lead to the rejection of an application form of AMU? 

Ans. The application of AMU may be rejected due to the following factors:

• The candidate has submitted an incomplete application form.
• Not submitted the prescribed form.
• Not paying the application form fee.
• Submission of application form after the last date.

Ques. Can a student pursue two regular degrees at one time from AMU?

Ans. No, AMU does not allow two regular degree programs at the same time. However, a student can pursue two programs simultaneously through distance mode or combination of distance and regular modes from the same or different Universities / Institutions in various combinations like : 

• One degree and one Diploma / PG Diploma / Certificate course
• One Post Graduate Diploma and One Diploma / Certificate course
• One Diploma and one Certificate course

Ques. Does AMU provide any compensation in fee to the students with any Pwd (Persons with Disability)?

Ans. The candidates with a disability will be exempted by AMU from the payment of the following Fee / Charges:

Ques. What is the maximum age limit for a candidate to apply for any UG course at AMU?

Ans. As per AMU guidelines, a candidate for more than 24 years as of 01st July in the year of admission is not allowed to apply for any UG course.

Ques. Does AMU provide any hostel facility?

Ans. Yes, hostel facilities are provided to students at AMU on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are 19 Halls of Residence and one Non-Resident Students Centre (NRSC). 13 Halls of Residence for boys and 6 for Girls.

Ques. Does AMU charge any additional fee for professional courses?

Ans. All professional courses at AMU are self-financed. The admitted students are required to pay a self-finance fee of Rs. 20,000 per year in two installments: Rs. 10,000 at the time of completion of admission in next/second year (as applicable) and Rs. 10,000 in January after continuation of admission in next/second year.

• Infrastructure- it has. One of the best infrastructure for any medical college in India. All classrooms are big and spacious. Corridors are open and ventilated.Cold drinking water available 24x7. All lecture theatres have AC installed in them.
• Library-Very spacious 2 floors of library with centralised AC. Having all sorts of Books from UG to PG level. AMU wifi facility available throughout for students. Library timings are 8 Am to 2 Am
• College fest-Life gets boring sometimes in such a big course , so some fun activities are needed but compared to other medical colleges the fest heree is not as much fun.
• Attendance-The mandatory attendance of 80 percent in labs and 75 in theory clases is a very tiring thing. Failing to meet the required percentage results into debarring from examination

Cut off for Jnmc For external students is around 3000 rank in Round 1 and for Internal students is around 8000 in round 1 50 percents of the seat is reserved for Internal Students of AMU. The eligibility of the course is graduation means you should be a graduate in any field with 45% marks to fill out the entrance form of the University. After the completion of form, one must fill the entrance form that comes in Feb and March after that prepare for the test. In month of June and July entrance test is conducted and one has to appear after this to get admitted in the course the name should be present in the selection list of students who crack the exam. The entrance is of mid-difficulty level and one can crack it if prepared for it.

Aligarh Muslim University’s (AMU) counselling registrations commenced from July 4, 2024. Registration for the Round-1 counselling will be done by clicking on the AMU website amucontrollerexams.com. Post registration, students can fill a choice for allotment besides uploading documents on the website for verification purposes. This admission list will be issued based on choice filling. Students who will be allotted seats in the AMU will have to report and pay the admission fees. This counselling, which will be held in 3 rounds, and are being conducted for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Let’s get to know more about it in detail:

1. The process of registration, document uploading and choice filling for round-1 counselling will continue till July 6.

2. After these steps have been completed, the document verification will take place from July 7 to 9.

3. Re-submission of documents will take place on July 10 and the second verification of submitted documents on July 11.
