Projectorpoint blog - connectivity for all devices

With so many wireless presentation systems on the market, it’s not always easy to decide which of them is best for your individual business requirements.

The truth is, the market has evolved to offer something for all environments – from the boardroom in the headquarters of a multinational conglomerate, to a new meeting room in an SME. Your choice depends on what matters most to you and your team.

We’ve put together a comprehensive guide to the best devices depending on your priorities, taking into account their simplicity of use, the kind of content they excel at supporting, connectivity options and of course, the all-important question of budget.

The Best Value Wireless Presentation System

Vivitek novopro.

The 10 Best Wireless Presentation Systems in 2022

The Vivitek NovoPro is a next generation presentation system that’s perfectly designed for supporting collaborative working environments. Ideal for those on a smaller budget, the device has been designed to offer everything the modern workplace requires without the large price tag that so often comes hand in hand.

Aside from price, one of the most important features of the NovoPro is its simplicity, which ensures meetings are fuss free. Support for all the major operating systems including Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, rounds off this strong market contender.

It’s one of the most popular value choices out there for businesses looking to encourage team collaboration and smooth running of meetings.

The Best Wireless Presentation System for Sharing Video

Barco clickshare.

The 10 Best Wireless Presentation Systems in 2022

Video is becoming a game changer in the professional environment. The ease with which we can create dynamic, eye-catching visuals is really changing how people present and interact with information.

With this in mind, it’s important to have a wireless presentation device that allows team members to showcase their video content.

This is where the Barco ClickShare system thrives; a simple plug and play system, ClickShare offers user-friendly wireless presentation options that support high-resolution video playback from just about any device.

The ClickShare CSE-800 is the latest in the range and allows eight users on-screen simultaneously. Not only that, but the CSE-800 can support  4K content, so your team can show their video content in the highest quality to really impress.

The Best Wireless Presentation Systems for BYOD Flexibility

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend shows little sign of abating. More and more companies are accepting this and looking to adapt their approach to technology, enabling the effective use of personal devices in the workplace.

The 10 Best Wireless Presentation Systems in 2022

A wireless presentation system that allows your team to contribute with material from their own device is a great addition to any meeting room. If you’re keeping a close eye on budget, then the entry-level Vivitek NovoPro is once again our value device of choice.

Capable of producing results that far exceed the expectations associated with its price tag, this wireless presentation solution makes it simple for meeting attendees to collaborate via their own laptops, tablets or even smartphones.

Barco ClickShare CSE-200

The 10 Best Wireless Presentation Systems in 2022

If you have a bit more money to invest here then take a look at the Barco ClickShare range. The ClickShare CSE-200, for example, makes collaboration easy in meetings rooms of any size. Ideal for the modern, smart workplace, this particular system allows up to 16 connections to be made to the room’s central display screen via the ClickShare Button or the app on a smartphone or tablet device.

With this level of connectivity, there’s no excuse for your team not to hold a collaborative and productive meeting.

The Best Wireless Presentation System for Simplicity of Use

Barco clickshare range.

The ClickShare range once again comes out on top when focused in on simplicity of use. But this wouldn’t be the case if it didn’t offer such cost efficient collaboration via such a simple and fast system.

No matter which ClickShare product you choose from the range, you’ll benefit from the ClickShare Buttons. These plug and play device connect straight into the USB port on a laptop, PC or Mac and enable the user to show their content on the main display screen in the room by simply pressing the button.

The use of the app for mobile devices takes ease of use even further allowing contributors to download the app in advance of the meeting and simply tap their screen when they’re ready to share.

On top of that, the solution supports a vast array of content types and connections to allow almost any media to be played in a matter of seconds. And if that wasn’t enough, ClickShare does all this while remaining cost effective and practically setup free. What more could you ask for?

The 10 best wireless presentation systems

Wireless presentation tools are loved in business settings for making meetings faster and more informative. In education, though, they’re truly transformative, moving teachers away from the whiteboard and giving students more input and control. Even quite simple systems can make lessons vastly more efficient, which is why they’re gradually finding their way into more and more schools and higher education institutions. But they often leave the screen blank when no one’s actually presenting; a missed opportunity. Rise Vision has developed a solution, in the form of a fully device-agnostic web player that can display your Rise Vision signage and alerts when you’re not presenting.

The Rise Vision web player

Rise Vision’s new web player works app-free across any wireless presentation system , allowing a school or university to use its Rise Vision content library as the default display across all its screens. Those displays can show content specific to the location, time of year or time of day — defaulting to lab safety messages in the chem building, for instance. And they can draw on a growing education-specific library of over 425 templates to build appropriate content for their students, then control them centrally from their Rise Vision dashboard. Rise Vision web player is fully device-agnostic, app-free and works with these wireless presentation tools — and many others. We’ll start with our favorite (and partner), Airtame.

What is Airtame?

Airtame is a hardware device for wireless screen sharing. Hook it up to screens or projectors and connect to your local network wirelessly or by ethernet, and you and your guests will be able to present. It’s centrally managed remotely, so one IT person can control the whole system from their laptop wherever they are. Airtame works with any device and operating system, and when screens aren’t being used for presentations, they can be used for digital signage.

How does Airtame work with Rise Vision web player?

When those screens are in digital signage mode, in between presentations, you can use Rise Vision’s dynamic digital signage and alerts. Airtame users get access to Rise Vision’s content thanks to a partnership between the two companies. ‘Partnering with Rise Vision will help us leverage their extensive library of professional content. The combination of the Airtame Cloud platform – supported by our display hardware – and Rise Vision’s digital signage templates will enable effective communication within schools. We believe the school community can achieve a lot more through this collaboration,’ says Orri Gudmundsson, Chief Commercial Officer, Airtame.

Standout features:

Airtame’s most impressive features include:

Device-agnostic screen sharing via the Airtame app, Miracast, Google Cast, and Airplay. Use any device, including emergency substitutes.

Support for touchback via Miracast from Windows and Android devices, when connected to an Interactive Flat Panel.

The Airtame 2 is $399, with a 30-day free trial. There’s also the $119 Airtame PoE adapter that both powers your Airtame and connects it to your Ethernet. Airtame Cloud licenses give you access to enhanced capabilities for your Airtame 2. Here’s how they’re priced:

The bottom line

We love Airtame — that’s why we chose to partner with them. In the words of our Head of Revenue, Shea Darlison, ‘we’re thrilled to partner with Airtame to help schools get the most out of their investment in classroom displays .’ Schools can get 50% off the first year’s cost for each Rise Vision license they buy to use with an Airtame Cloud license. This offer is open for all Airtame Cloud licenses purchased by K-12 and higher education institutions from May 1st, 2021 until August 31st, 2021. Claim yours by contacting Airtame or your local resellers to purchase your Airtame Cloud license . Then go to https://www.risevision.com/airtame to submit the proof of purchase and receive the discounted Rise Vision licenses.

2. AirSquirrels / AirSquirrels Ditto What is AirSquirrels?

AirSquirrels comes in three parts: Ditto is a device-agnostic screen-mirroring and digital signage tool. Reflector 4 is AirPlay, Google Cast and Miracast receiver software. And AirParrot is advanced mirroring and screen sharing for Mac and PC.

Ditto lets you take any screen and turn it into a wireless meeting collaboration tool. What it doesn’t do is play well with others. You can’t use Rise Vision or any other third-party player through AirSquirrels Ditto, and you can’t play web content through it. Its inbuilt signage lacks support for full-size videos, templates and scheduling, so it’s also very static.

How does AirSquirrels work?

AirSquirrels offers both screen sharing and collaboration, and digital signage. The tools AirSquirrel offers are more oriented to the enterprise than Rise Vision, and take less account of schools’ requirements.

Ditto offers its users:

Cross-platform wireless screen mirroring from iPhones, Macs, Android devices, Chromebooks and Windows devices

Device agnostic single-app screen mirroring lets you cast just a particular application to public screens

Ditto is priced at $150 per receiver per year or $15.99 per month per receiver.

Ditto is a solid solution if you’re looking for an all-in-one tool that covers most of the bases of a dedicated screen-casting tool and a dedicated digital signage tool.

3. Mersive Solstice What is Mersive Solstice?

Solstice is a meeting collaboration tool, built for local and remote teams. It lets users share content to room displays nearby and to remote locations using any of several major video conferencing services. Software-based and cloud-enabled, Solstice lets you start sharing your screen in just a few seconds.

How does Mersive Solstice work with Rise Vision web player?

Solstice already controls screens to facilitate sharing and collaboration, so it makes sense that they also offer digital signage. There’s native digital signage built-in, and partnerships with multiple digital signage companies. Rise Vision users can use the Rise Vision web player just the way you would with any other presentation tool to run digital signage from your Rise Vision dashboard to screens controlled by Solstice.

Solstice brings its users:

Uniquely easy to present in other locations. When they say, ‘make any room a Zoom,’ they’re not kidding

Device-agnostic content sharing via the Solstice app, AirPlay, Miracast, a web browser, or the HDMI-in port

Mersive Solstice pricing is custom via their sales team.

Mersive Solstice is a winner for large, distributed organizations, or ones that need collaboration tools for a network of partners. But for smaller organizations, it’s overpowered.

4. ScreenBeam What is ScreenBeam?

ScreenBeam is an app-free, contactless wireless presentation tool that integrates quickly and easily into any meeting space or Unified Communication system. Unusually for the niche, ScreenBeam deliberately eschews all applications and contact points — dongles, boxes and so forth — to allow standards-based wireless connections from any device. Only the ScreenBeam wireless receiver is required.

How does ScreenBeam work with Rise Vision web player?

ScreenBeam can display static digital signage or you can push digital signage to it from another source. The Rise Vision web player can function as a source, allowing the two systems to connect seamlessly.

ScreenBeam lets you:

Pipe apps up to the big screen easily. Everything from Skype for the Classroom to OneNote and FluidMath can be moved onto the main screen to allow collaboration and teaching

Do native screen mirroring without downloading or installing an app at all.

ScreenBeam pricing is custom , via their sales team.

ScreenBeam is one of the most powerful and versatile tools for K-12 and higher education institutions, as well as businesses, to facilitate collaboration. Its app-less functionality makes using it uniquely quick and easy to connect to.

5. ViewSonic

What is viewsonic.

ViewSonic offers a range of visual tools, from high-end gaming monitors to large-venue projectors. But one of its areas of focus is wireless presentations in schools. For this, ViewSonic has the ViewSync receiver, allowing rapid wireless connectivity to a range of screens from laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

How does ViewSonic work with RiseVision web player?

ViewSonic offers presentation via a receiver with a USB backchannel that lets the host annotate what’s displayed on the screen and assume full mouse and keyboard control. It’s built for presentations in a lecture, meeting or classroom environment, but can also be used as a digital signage receiver when not presenting. Rise Vision’s web player can play your Rise Vision signage playlists and alerts through your ViewSonic receiver.

ViewSonic’s ViewSync 3 receiver is $39.99 . To use it, you’ll also need the ViewMirroring Android app or the ViewMedia Android/iOS app.

ViewSonic is a great choice if you have a relatively small number of screens and you want a versatile, plug-and-play presentation solution; paired with Rise Vision’s web player and digital signage dashboard, you’ll get everything you need to run a full suite of presentations, signage and alerts.

6. Barco WePresent What is WePresent?

WePresent is a simple, fully configurable app-based presentation toolkit designed specifically for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environments, and can be optimized for the needs of schools, businesses, government and universities.

How does WePresent work?

WePresent relies on its MirrorOp app plus a three-device suite of boxes, designed to suit different needs (see Pricing for details). When you use WePresent, students and teachers can connect to the WePresent box from any device. You can share multiple device screens on one screen, and teachers can preview student content, set polls and quizzes, and ask silent questions through the WePresent system too.

Unfortunately, Barco doesn’t work with Rise Vision’s web player or most other third-party players, meaning you’re stuck with the Barco feature set — admittedly impressive, but incomplete.

Standout features

WePresent comes with:

Support for native Airplay and Chromecast

BYOD-friendly with teacher controls to manage, annotate, queue and share content from students

MirrorOp is free to download for Mac, Windows, Android, iOS and Chromebook. There are three hardware options:

Not available in Canada, Mexico or the United States

Entry-level

64 simultaneous connections

Airplay support

Fixed screen layout (up to 4)

On-screen moderation

Central management

Available globally

All features available with WiPG-1000, plus smart upgrades

Whiteboard and annotation features

1-to-many distribution (up to 4)

Video streaming

USB document/content player

All features of WiPG-1600W, plus upgrades

Dynamic screen layout (up to 4)

On-screen user preview and moderation

Education pack with student monitor

Eco standby mode

Pricing for all WePresent hardware is custom through the Barco sales team.

WePresent is a full-featured presentation system that works great for schools and universities. It’s the kind of tool that’s likely to get bought at the school or district rather than department or classroom level, but it’s well-supported and effective for teaching and learning. It also plays great with your existing Rise Vision library of signage and alerts.

7. WolfVision

What is wolfvision.

WolfVision provides wireless presentation tools as part of a suite of business and education tools that includes visualizers, document cameras and more, all aimed at tying together the classroom and digital environments. At its most advanced the WolfVision suite includes onscreen multisource annotations, multiscreen sharing, and drag and drop distribution across student screens. Presentation is just a part of this.

How does WolfVision work?

WolfVision’s suite of tools includes a range of receivers able to do duty as presentation receivers and multi-app remote meeting tools, collaboration solutions and more.

However, WolfVision has no built-in digital signage solution. They allow digital signage providers access to their tool through their API, but not directly, so it doesn’t work with the Rise Vision web player.

WolfVision is distinguished by:

App-free, dongle-free, wireless sharing and presentation via its Cynap range of receivers

Easy configuration, but endless customization via powerful API access

WolfVision’s pricing is custom via their sales team, though their tools are also sold by authorized resellers .

8. Startech

What is the startech wifi2hdvga.

Startech’s WIFI2HDVGA is a simple, effective tool for sharing from Windows and Mac computers and laptops to big screens.

How does the Startech WIFI2HDVGA work?

Startech’s simple presentation and collaboration tool is one of the most lightweight solutions on this list. But that’s its appeal. If you need something that will plug and play into whatever system you’re currently using, Startech has you covered. What it doesn’t have, as most presentation tools don’t, is native digital signage. Rise Vision has you covered there, with scheduled signage playlists and real time alerts — but Startech isn’t compatible with third-party players, so if you choose the stripped-down approach your options are limited.

Startech delivers:

Quick, efficient screen sharing switching between computers

Wireless display mode that lets users mirror any screencast-enabled device app-free

Startech’s pricing is transparent: each unit is $185.99 USD, and is also available from a reseller network .

9. Polycom Pano

What is the polycom pano.

The Pano is part of Polycom’s wider collaboration and presentation ecosystem, allowing users to connect any device and present up to four screens simultaneously. You can annotate in real-time and connect to virtually any display through a standard HDMI output, or select touch displays for a fully interactive experience.

How does the Polycom Pano work?

Pano is a powerful collaboration tool, especially when it’s embedded in the wider Polycom ecosystem. But its focus is the meeting, the presentation, the huddle — not the times in between. It lacks digital signage functionality, and isn’t compatible with third-party players.

Pano gives users:

Device-agnostic access, though with relatively poor support for Linux

Security-conscious design including secure boot and encrypted content

Polycom’s Pano is best used as part of a wider strategic investment, and it’s one that’s better suited to businesses than to education. Pano’s pricing is custom through the Polycom sales team.

However, finding the best wireless presentation system isn’t as easy a task as it is for other products. This is why we’ve made your job easier by going through a number of products available in the market right now.

It’s worth pointing out that most wireless presentation systems operate on a bring-your-own-device philosophy, which basically enables anybody with a laptop or smartphone in the conference room to share their presentations on the big screen. This also means you will find yourself calling for the IT department a lot less than usual.

Some names like BenQ and Barco are among the top names as far as wireless presentation systems are concerned, though we’re also going to talk about a handful of other manufacturers and their offerings to give you a decent set of choices to choose from. We will talk about systems that are suited for small, medium, or large-sized conference or meeting rooms, thus offering a wide variety of choices..

With this in mind, let’s have a look at some of the best wireless presentation system money can buy today.

Best Wireless Presentation Systems

wireless presentation system cost

1. BenQ InstaShow S

The BenQ InstaShow S is high up on our list of wireless presentation systems for a reason. It covers a lot of bases and offers users the best experience possible by taking little to no effort or additional software installations. The BenQ InstaShow S comes with two HDMI transmitters that can be plugged into your laptop to wirelessly cast your presentation onto the big screen. To make things even more convenient for the users, the company has also included support for wireless playback platforms like Miracast and Apple AirPlay. This devices offers a maximum range of 45 feet.

The inclusion of 4-way split-screen support means this device is excellent for collaboration, up to four presenters can offer their presentation simultaneously to help enhance meetings and brainstorming sessions. It also supports touchback via an interactive display. However, this is limited to Windows computers for the time being. The content shared by the users during the presentation and the network are secured with 128-bit security protection to alleviate any privacy concerns.

As for video quality, the manufacturer mentions that the InstaShow S can deliver video in 1080p resolution even in areas with low Wi-Fi networks. The company has also included auto-connect features to make sure the network is back up immediately even in the event of a momentary disruption. While it supports practically any display, customers will like the inclusion of support for 4K screens, particularly for the 4-way split-screen feature we talked about above.

2. Barco ClickShare CSE-200

The Barco ClickShare CSE-200 is one of the most recognized presentation systems out there, particularly for small to medium-sized rooms. However, unlike the BenQ offering we discussed above, the CSE-200 only allows two presenters simultaneously, which should get the job done in most cases. However, the process remains the same for the most part. This device is also known for excellent network integration.

There are no cables to plug-in, no drivers to install. The CSE-200 uses a single USB port to connect with your device. When this process is complete, the presenters in the room simply have to tap the ClickShare button to have the contents of the laptop mirrored on the big screen. To make things easier for the users, the company offers two ClickShare buttons with each unit.

It’s also worth pointing out that the Barco ClickShare CSE-200 comes with enhanced security features on board to make sure the presentations and their contents are protected. Both PC and Mac devices can mirror their screen using this wireless presentation system, while phones/tablets compatibility is included as well. This can be enabled by downloading the ClickShare App on your mobile device. Thanks to the inclusion of these features, this is among the best wireless presentation system out there.

3. Barco ClickShare CS-100

The second of our Barco ClickShare models is the CS-100 which is highly rated by users for a small conference or meeting room. As with other variants, the CS-100 is fairly easy to use and doesn’t require any technical know-how. The primary difference between this model and the one we’ve discussed above is that this is designed for a smaller group of presenters.

However, it includes the ability to present content via laptops, phones, or tablets, so it’s not too different from other variants in the lineup in this regard. The company uses a button-based function that allows the presenter to take control of the screen/TV. Security features like encryption, login management, and the ability to hide the SSID of the base unit’s network are also included with this device.

The USB ClickShare button can be plugged into your laptop to make it accessible and no HDMI connections are required. However, the base unit does have an HDMI port. This model supports Windows and macOS operating systems, so you will have no trouble with regard to compatibility. If you’re looking for a suitable wireless presentation device for smaller conference rooms, we highly recommend the CS-100.

4. IOGEAR Share Pro Wireless Presentation Systems

This wireless presentation system by IOGEAR is fairly simple in terms of functionality. The main purpose of this presentation system is to cut down on unnecessary wiring to and from your laptop or another connected device. The company provides two HDMI connectors that go into your laptop or computer in the conference room. Each HDMI connector also has its own button to display content from one presenter at a time.

As for range, the manufacturer mentions that it can function smoothly at a range of up to 120 feet, thus covering pretty much every conference room as well as classrooms. One of the other perks of owning the IOGEAR Share Pro is that it doesn’t require additional software or drivers to function thanks to plug-and-play operations. Though the manufacturer offers two connectors with this product, more can be purchased separately, allowing more than two users to have their presentations beamed without using any wires.

The main unit can be hidden away behind the TV or screen and it barely takes any space. This wireless presentation system supports both screen mirroring and extension. What makes this an attractive offering when compared to the rest is the fact that it is attractively priced. However, low-cost also means users will have to make some sacrifices with regard to features. Regardless, we rate this product highly for its easy-to-use features and support for Full HD video content.

5. QuattroPod Standard

QuattroPod has a bunch of wireless presentation systems in the marketplace, and this is the variant that strikes the perfect balance of features and performance. This particular variant of the QuattroPod comes with two Wi-Fi transmitters, allowing you to wirelessly cast your content onto a big screen/TV. Further, the company mentions that it can support 4 different presenters at the same time, something that not a lot of wireless presentation systems offer.

In addition to sharing your content sans wires over a PC or Mac operating systems, the QuattroPod Standard also lets you use your mobile devices for a quick presentation on the big screen. This is possible thanks to support for Google Cast as well as Apple AirPlay. This also means you won’t need to download a separate mobile app to enable phones/tablets compatibility. This presentation system allows collaboration in 4K or Full HD video quality.

The QuattroPod Standard uses top-of-the-line security with AES 128-bit encrypted network and WPA2 authentication protocol in place. As a bonus, this wireless presentation system also supports touchback with a number of compatible touchscreen displays. Users will also like the Host Control feature that allows users to take charge of meetings with multiple presenters or agendas. This is a plug and play solution which makes the setup process even easier.

6. J-TECH QS100

The QS100 by J-Tech is an excellent wireless presentation system for a small to medium conference/meeting room. The manufacturer offers three Wi-Fi transmitters with this device with support for up to five people to be connected at the same time. The users willing to switch over simply has to press the button on the remote to have their laptop’s content mirrored onto the big screen. More transmitters can be purchased separately.

Though this wire-free presentation system offers a range of up to 65-feet, the company mentions that the transmitters and the receiver will have to be within direct line of sight for it to work, though this is the case with most presentation systems out there. As for the content you’re beaming, this device supports 1080p resolution by default. As for the operating system, it supports both Windows and Mac devices.

Though we would’ve liked to see the ability to have simultaneous devices or users presenting at the same time, we can’t have it all. This product is backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty along with lifetime technical support for any issues with this product. We recommend this product if you’re conducting presentations among a smaller group of people.

7. StarTech Wireless Presentation System

This device is designed to improve office productivity by cutting down on unnecessary wires. It acts as a central WiFi hub, which means it doesn’t need connectors. All you have to do is plug in your monitor or television to this device via HDMI or VGA, and this hub takes care of the rest. The company mentions that the hub is compatible with Windows and macOS computers, and is designed for effective collaboration among multiple users.

It also comes with RCA and TOSLINK audio outputs for smooth audio performance during presentations. This hub also comes with a LAN port for computers or devices without WiFi. Users can also share their presentations with other people or even download documents from cloud service providers like Dropbox.

As for video quality, the manufacturer mentions that it supports maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 or Full HD. Lastly, this hub will require the company’s nScreenShare software to allow the laptop to wirelessly communicate with the projector or screen. This is an excellent solution for businesses that want to cut down on conference room clutter.

8. Kramer VIA Go2

The Via Go2 is known as a simple yet effective solution to get rid of the cables and wires in your meeting room. With features like remote collaboration, people away from the meeting can join and share content provided they use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. This is built for high-quality video playback and supports 4K content at 30 fps.

The best part of the Via Go2 is that the user doesn’t have to be a part of any existing ecosystem to make use of its features. This device also comes with support for smartphones including Android and iOS. As you would expect, the Go2 also supports laptops running Windows or macOS. What makes this device stand out from a number of other models is its ability to allow presentations from two users at the same time.

It’s also worth noting that the VIA Go2 is very compact and can easily sit behind the projector screen or display. Moreover, there are no USB dongles to deal with, meaning this is a truly wireless presentation system.

10 things to Look in Wireless Presentation Systems Before Making Decisions

' src=

In today’s modern workplace, the rise of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies has led to a proliferation of diverse laptops and mobile devices being used in business meetings. However, connecting these devices to shared displays, such as TVs or projectors, can be a daunting task due to the myriad of video inputs and outputs involved. Incompatible ports, tangled cables, and finicky adapters often result in frustrating delays and disruptions, leaving IT departments inundated with support requests.

This is where Wireless presentation systems help organizations out – by offering a seamless solution, allowing presenters to start meetings without being tethered to projection devices or constrained by seating. However, with numerous options available, it’s important to evaluate the following ten key factors to ensure an informed decision that aligns with your organization’s needs.

Let’s discuss these factors in detail!

What Is a Wireless Presentation?

A wireless presentation system is a sophisticated media streaming device that leverages screen mirroring technology to enable one or more users to wirelessly present content from their personal computers, tablets, or smartphones onto a larger shared display. This technology is particularly well-suited for collaborative environments such as meeting rooms, conference rooms, huddle spaces, and classrooms.

By eliminating the need for cumbersome cable connections, wireless presentation systems facilitate seamless information sharing, allowing multiple participants to effortlessly stream and exchange a wide range of content.

Types of Wireless Presentation Devices

There are three main types of wireless presentation devices:

1. Cloud-based Wireless Presentation Solutions

These solutions leverage cloud technologies to enable wireless presentation and collaboration. Users can share their screens or content from their devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones) to a virtual meeting room or display accessible via the cloud. Examples include Microsoft 365 Live Presentations, Google Cast for Education, and Blackboard Collaborate.

2. Hardware Wireless Presentation Solutions

These are dedicated hardware devices that enable wireless screen mirroring, sharing, and presentation. They typically consist of a receiver unit that connects to the display (projector, TV, etc.) and transmitter units or software clients on user devices.

3. Software Wireless Presentation Solutions

These are software applications that allow users to wirelessly present, share, and collaborate without dedicated hardware. The software runs on user devices and connects to a receiving software on the display device over the network.

10 Things to Look for Before Choosing a Wireless Presentation System

Now let’s discuss the various factors that you should consider when deciding on a wireless presentation system for your business:

1. Compatibility With Different Types of Systems

When choosing a wireless presentation system, you must ensure that it is compatible with various operating systems and devices. Whether you’re using Windows, macOS, or a mobile platform like Android or iOS, the wireless presentation system should seamlessly integrate with your setup. Additionally, consider the compatibility with different applications and file formats, as you may need to present a wide range of content.

For instance, if your team frequently collaborates on Microsoft Office documents or PDFs, the wireless presentation system should handle these file types effortlessly. This compatibility ensures a smooth presentation experience, eliminating the need for time-consuming conversions or workarounds.

2. Device Security Level Fits With the Company

Security is a paramount concern, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information. Assess the wireless presentation system’s security features to ensure they align with your company’s policies and industry standards. Look for systems that offer robust encryption, secure authentication methods, and granular access control.

In highly regulated industries, such as healthcare or finance, you may need to prioritize systems that comply with specific security protocols or certifications. This approach safeguards your data and maintains compliance with industry regulations, mitigating potential legal and reputational risks.

3. Does It Use Reliable Encryption Technology?

Encryption is a crucial aspect of wireless presentation systems, as it protects your data from unauthorized access or interception. Evaluate the encryption protocols used by the system, and ensure they employ industry-standard algorithms and cryptographic strengths.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) are widely recognized and trusted encryption methods. Look for systems that implement these protocols with robust key management and regular updates to address emerging security vulnerabilities.

4. Easy-To-Use Interface

A user-friendly interface can significantly enhance the overall presentation experience. Look for wireless presentation systems that offer an intuitive and straightforward setup process, allowing you to quickly connect and start presenting without unnecessary complications.

Additionally, consider systems with a clean and minimalistic interface that doesn’t distract from the content being presented. Seamless control over features like screen mirroring, annotation tools, and device switching can greatly improve the presentation flow and audience engagement.

5. Is It BYOD-Friendly?

In today’s mobile workforce, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies are becoming increasingly common. Ensure that the wireless presentation system you choose supports a wide range of devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones, from various manufacturers.

BYOD-friendly systems allow your team members or guests to easily connect their devices and present content, fostering collaboration and productivity. This flexibility also reduces the need for dedicated presentation devices, which can be costly and require additional maintenance.

6. Does It Support Multiple Devices at Once?

Depending on your presentation needs, you may require the ability to connect and present from multiple devices simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful in collaborative settings or when multiple presenters need to share their screens seamlessly.

Look for wireless presentation systems that support simultaneous connections from various devices, allowing for a smooth transition between presenters without interruptions. This capability streamlines the presentation flow and promotes a more engaging experience for your audience.

7. Does the Single Device Offer a Sufficient Range?

The range of the wireless presentation system is an important consideration, especially in larger meeting rooms or auditoriums. Ensure that the system’s range is adequate to cover the desired presentation area without signal dropouts or connectivity issues.

Some systems may offer extended range capabilities through multiple access points or repeaters, allowing for seamless coverage across larger venues. Evaluate the range requirements based on your typical presentation settings and choose a system that can reliably transmit high-quality audio and video signals without interruptions.

8. Value for Money

While features and capabilities are essential, it’s also crucial to consider the overall value proposition of the wireless presentation system. Evaluate the upfront costs, recurring fees (if any), and long-term maintenance requirements.

Look for systems that strike a balance between affordability and functionality, meeting your specific needs without unnecessary expenses. Additionally, consider the scalability of the system, allowing for future expansion or integration with other technologies as your requirements evolve.

9. Image and Video Quality of the Device

The primary purpose of a wireless presentation system is to deliver high-quality visual content. Assess the system’s ability to handle various resolutions, aspect ratios, and frame rates without compromising image or video quality.

Pay attention to factors such as latency, color accuracy, and support for advanced video codecs like H.264 or H.265. These features ensure that your presentations appear crisp, vibrant, and free from lag or artifacts, enhancing the overall viewing experience for your audience.

10. Warranty

As with any technology investment, it’s essential to consider the warranty offered by the manufacturer. A comprehensive warranty can provide peace of mind and protect your investment in case of any hardware or software issues.

Look for wireless presentation systems that offer extended warranty periods, covering both parts and labor. Additionally, evaluate the manufacturer’s reputation for customer support and prompt service, as these factors can greatly impact your overall experience and minimize potential downtime.

9 Wireless Presentation Systems to Transform Yours Into an Effortless Success

Presentations are a norm in any corporate workplace. It’s nothing but natural to see meeting rooms filled with a horde of wires since there are multiple presenters who need to connect their devices and present on the screen. And, a wireless presentation system is necessary to remove these bulks of wires.

Wireless presentation systems eliminate the entire bulk of wires and rely on USB transmitters and a receiver to get the job done. People can easily connect to the system via a transmitter; this eliminates the detour of connecting your device with a wire and disconnecting it again once the presentation is over.

That being said, let’s take a look at some of the best wireless presentation systems available on the market.

1. J-Tech Wireless Presentation System

wireless presentation system

Presentations are the key to success, but doing it over wires is a real drag. You can cut the cord with J-Tech Digital’s wireless HDMI presentation system, which is perfect for conference rooms in any professional setting. It’s also more cost-effective than many other systems and has an extended range for presentations in more distant rooms.

The J-Tech presentation system works with a receiver, called J-Tech QS100, which can receive data from five different senders and transmit clear videos of 1080p up to 65ft. You can switch between the senders by just pushing a button.

The transmitter’s small size means it requires less space. This is even more helpful if you wish to connect two or more computers in a crowded conference room. Adding a cherry on the cake, you’ll get lifetime free tech support from J-Tech Digital’s Houston-based team.

2. QVS Wireless Presentation System

Wireless presentation system

If you’re looking for a cost-effective solution compared to the previous one, the QVS wireless presentation system can help. This system works with Mac, Windows PC, Android, and iOS devices. You can share a projector or HDTV with VGA or HDMI ports using a wireless connection up to 200 inches with this projector.

Another stand-out feature of the QVS system is its four-way split-screen, which displays video or image data from four senders simultaneously. The conference control function is a godsend for classrooms as well.

3. BenQ InstaShow WDC10C

Wireless presentation system

The InstaShow WDC10C starter kit consists of two transmitter buttons, a receiver, and a tabletop button holder. The number of items in the package might give you a fair idea of how easy it is to set up this presentation system.

To begin with, you won’t need any software or app to connect and present your data on the receiver screen. Just plug in the button to your computer, press it, and you can start the presentation in the blink of an eye. The system also offers multiple wall mounting options; this further helps clear the clutter on the table when there’s a large crowd with their laptops in the room.

The InstaShow device can be extended to 16 buttons simultaneously, but only one person can present data at a time.

The collaboration mode allows you to share your content between different computers using the included ScreenShare software, irrespective of whether it’s a Mac or Windows PC. However, if you don’t wish to use software and have the same functionality, you can opt for the wireless display mode.

5. Quattropod Wireless Presentation System

Wireless presentation system

The Quattropod wireless presentation system may cost you a pretty penny, but the features it comes with are worth the amount. To begin with, the system has a compact transmitter that allows you to broadcast your content wirelessly to different devices with just the click of a button.

Moving forward, it also comes with a 4-to-1 split-screen feature that can display content from four sources. So, in case you’re explaining numbers from different charts for one topic, you can have all the data on screen and make referencing easier.

The Quattropod system also has a touchback control function: with this feature, you can access the content via the touch panels available on-screen and ensure a collaborative meeting session with your colleagues.

The transmission distance of the Startech system is approximately 99 feet (30 meters), depending on its proximity to the local WiFi connection.

6. Barco CSE 200 Wireless Presentation System

Wireless presentation system

If you’re looking out for a wireless presentation system for a small or medium-sized meeting room, look no further than the Barco CSE 200 presentation system . This system can have 16 simultaneous connections; it allows two persons to share content simultaneously on the screen.

The setup is a cakewalk, and so is the usage of the system. All you need to do is connect a device to the system wirelessly and present it on the screen with the push of a button. While this is possible for Mac and Windows PCs, you can use the ClickShare app to avail this feature and present content from your mobile devices.

7. Barco CS-100 Presentation System

Wireless presentation system

Barco ClickShare CS-100 is similar to its counterpart that we saw previously. It works like a charm for small meeting rooms and is a great device to have if you’re delivering presentations on the go.

This presentation system promotes BYOD collaboration by offering a completely wireless experience. It’s compatible with all smartphones and PCs, so you don’t need to worry about your device not connecting to the system successfully. You need to have the ClickShare software or app installed, depending on whether you’re sharing content through a PC or mobile device.

The Barco CS-100 system can connect to eight devices simultaneously, but only one can present content at a time.

8. ClearClick Wireless Presentation System

Wireless presentation system

The ClearClick wireless presentation system is yet another powerful device that makes collaborative meetings a breeze to set up and conduct. It comes with one receiver and two transmitters; extra transmitters are sold separately. You can connect up to 20 transmitters at once, but the receiver will show data from only one transmitter at a time.

The Present+Share Mini has an impressive broadcasting range of up to 50 feet (15 meters) and displays 1080p videos. The setup is all about plug-and-play. Plug in the transmitter to a computer’s HDMI port and the receiver to the main device, then, press the button on the transmitter to start broadcasting on the receiver device.

RECOMMENDED ARTICLES

The Present+Share Mini is a godsend if you’re presenting in small or large meeting rooms, classrooms, or boardrooms. It also comes with a 3-year warranty and tech support.

9. IOGEAR Expandable Wireless Presentation System

Wireless Presentation 101

Wireless presentation systems are growing in popularity, and rightfully so. They allow users to seamlessly collaborate and share ideas, documents, and desktops on projectors, TVs, and big screens. This functionality is ideal for boardrooms, conference rooms , lecture halls, classrooms, and more.

There are many wireless presentation systems in the marketplace, each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. The right solution depends on a variety of factors like budget, necessary features, required connections, type of users, etc.

This article will review the benefits, features, questions to ask before starting, and recommended systems.

Let’s dive in.

What is a Wireless Presentation System?

Important Questions to Ask

Recommended Systems

A wireless presentation system allows users to project content, on any device, to a display using a wireless network . This technology makes it easy for presenters to share ideas, concepts, documents, and media to projectors, TVs, and large monitors– without having to use restrictive hardwired connections.

What is a Wireless Presentation System

When should you use one?

If you want to project from one device to another, wireless presentation systems are a user-friendly solution. Some specific use cases that come to mind are:

  • If you want to wirelessly connect your smartphone or tablet to a TV in the breakroom
  • If you’re going to project your video conference onto a projector in the boardroom
  • If vendors or clients with different devices need to connect and present to the displays in a conference room
  • If team members want to brainstorm and share screens simultaneously in a huddle room

Benefits of Wireless Presentation Systems

Removing the wireless and cables makes it easier to collaborate and interact seamlessly. In fact, Gartner Research determined that wireless presentation systems are one of the top 10 strategic technologies to improve BYOD collaboration. Here are some of the reasons why.

Reduce Touchpoints

Minimizing common touchpoints is crucial to reducing the spread of germs. Cordless solutions minimize high-touch and hard to sanitize surfaces like USBs, HDMI cables, and volume buttons. In the post-pandemic world, it's essential to provide clean and safe collaboration solutions.

Support BYOD

It doesn’t matter if you use a MacBook, PC, Chromebook, iPad, tablet, iPhone, or Android. Anyone can connect with a wireless presentation system. Users need to visit a website or download a simple software file to present in seconds. Removing cords and adaptors allows everyone to put their best device forward.

Support BYOD

Enhance Room Design

Architects and designers go to great lengths to create beautiful conference rooms. Then you slap an AV system in there, and it throws off the Fengshui. With traditional presentation systems, you have a bulky device on the table with cords strewn around the room. To hide the clutter, you have to drill holes in tables, design cable trays, and hunt for cables and connectors when it’s time to present. Most wireless systems are compact devices discretely mounted behind the displays. Minimizing the clutter makes it easier to focus on the presenter rather than the mess of cables.

Easier Presenting

How many meetings have started late because you had to call the IT team to get the projector to work? From the user’s laptop to the cables, connectors, and AV systems – there’s a whole lot of debugging to do when something goes wrong. Not only that but with a hardwired connection, the presenter is limited by the cable length. Wireless systems allow users to connect from several yards away, so they can walk around the room freely. Workplace technology should be professional, user-friendly, and make your team’s lives easier. Wireless presentation systems help make that possible.

Cost-Effective

Since wireless systems inherently remove cables and adaptors, you save money on hardware. Extra savings come from not having to hide all those cables and wires in the first place. Think: cable boxes, raceways, and custom tables. And while you may have to pay for additional configuration and installation upfront, your IT team can stop wasting time troubleshooting conference room technology and focus on more value-adding initiatives.

Wireless Presentation System Features

Wireless presentation systems come with all the features that wired connections do, and then some. But, of course, you get what you pay for. Additional functionality comes with a bigger price tag, but the upfront investment can quickly generate an ROI when your team effectively collaborates and communicates digitally.

High-Resolution

Between looking at spreadsheets and video conferencing, you need to read text and see faces clearly on your displays. Commercial-grade systems can deliver resolutions from 1080p to 4K. Presentation systems can handle video differently depending on the model and configuration, but many systems can play videos at frame rates up to 60 frames per second.

Clear Audio

Sometimes a crisp display is all you need, but most times, you need clear audio to go with it. After all, what’s the point of a presentation if the people online can’t hear you? Wireless systems can deliver natural-sounding audio at a comfortable level. It will sound like virtual participants are in the room with you.

Your presentation systems can be as secure as your IT team deems necessary. You can have an open connection that anyone can access. A screen key, so a user has to be in the room with the code to connect. Or you can make it password-protected or AES-128 encrypted. Your IT team calls the shots.

Security

Multiple Screens

Systems can display a single screen, split-screen, and some support quad-screens. This functionality is ideal if you want to video conference and need to look at participants, the host, information (spreadsheets, images, slides), and anything else being shared.

7 Questions to Ask Before Getting a Wireless Presentation System

Before shopping around or contacting a vendor, knowing what you want and need in a system is essential. This will make it easier to find a solution that checks all the boxes. So take the time to review these questions and let your answers guide your system selection.

1. Who will be using the system?

Will only employees connect and present, or will you have guests too? More users and a greater variety of devices make for a more complex solution. Most likely, your office has a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) culture, in which case you’ll need to provide more options for people to connect. It’s best to give them wired and wireless options as well as apps and download options. You need to be prepared for various operating systems so that everyone can walk in and seamlessly connect.

Case Study: Coworking space complex AV design, install, and support.

2. How will you get software onto the presentation device?

Options include apps, programs, and downloads. For employee computers, a global installation can be the easiest and quickest route. This allows everyone to connect the same way. However, things get sticky when guests present or employees bring their own devices like tablets and phones.

3. Do you want software-only or an external device?

Some systems have external devices and dongles that allow you to click a button and show your screen. These devices simplify the connection process and can be easy to use. But, they can also disappear, and some computer security settings won’t run files from external devices. Downloading software is a great alternative, but it can take guests a while to download and install before presenting.

4. Do you have single or dual networks?

One of the biggest issues we see is that devices work well on the owner’s network but run into problems with guests. Typically, guests are not connected to the same network as employees. Most presentations need you to be connected to the same network to present. Some newer devices have two network cards allowing them to connect to two networks . Ex: Guest WiFi vs. Internal WiFi. This enhanced functionality is a game-changer if you know that you’ll have guests and employees using the system.

dual networks

5. Do you need single or dual displays?

As we mentioned, some wireless presentation systems can show on 2+ displays. These options are incredible for improving collaboration capabilities and efficiency . They allow multiple users to work together and run multiple displays simultaneously. This enhanced functionality is great, but you will need to budget accordingly.

6. What are your maintenance and administration requirements?

For this, you need to consider the size of your organization. Do you have one conference room in your office or dozens? Some devices require you to make changes at the device level. This means you have to log in and update things like firmware or the splash screens individually. Other devices have software portals that allow you to administer all the devices on the network globally. The latter is a huge advantage (and a time saver!) if you have many devices or a lot of locations.

7. What is your budget?

This is one of the first questions we get asked, and unlike most vendors, we do our best to be transparent with our pricing. You can budget anywhere from $800-$4,000. Most wireless presentation solutions cost around $1,000-2,000, with some sticking out in the higher/lower end of the price range. It ultimately boils down to what kind of functionality you need.

We deal with a wide variety of manufacturers and devices . We can only make the best recommendation if we know more about your individual needs. (Hint: start by answering the questions in the section above!)

The most popular brands range between $1,000 and $2,000 but will need to be installed and configured. Some of the most common brands we see are listed below.

Like all workplace technology, it’s important to do your research before purchasing. Knowing what to look for and the most relevant nuances to your organization and use cases will help you get the right system.

Speaking with an experienced AV professional can help you get the best price on a system and ensure a smooth installation. This way, you have the right system... and a system that works where and when you need it.

Make meetings more efficient

The new ‘PressIT’ Wireless Presentation System is a plug-and-play wireless presentation system designed to eliminate the need for cables and facilitates sharing content between different PCs. Attendees simply connect the transmitter button to their PC’s USB and HDMI ports and press the button to share their content on the room’s display. No network setup, software or driver installation is required. PressIT allows up to four presenters at a time to display visual and audio content.

PressIT Wireless Presentation System offers two versions: basic with the set-top-box or cable-less with the SDM receiver. The SDM receiver was designed to fit perfectly inside the Intel® SDM expansion slot of the displays, so no cable connection is needed between the PC and display. In the modern work environment, sharing ideas and collaborating with others should be fast, easy, and secure when working with the right wireless presentation systems

wireless presentation system cost

Great ideas, important proposals, and big pitches usually begin in a small place. It could be a napkin sketch, a voice memo, a smartphone notes app, or a .ppt file saved to the desktop. In most cases, our devices are the birthplace of new ideas. But as ideas grow and concepts take shape, they need a larger canvas to come to life. That's where wireless presentation systems come in. These powerful technology systems allow us to easily share our ideas in the hopes that the boss buys in, the client signs on, or the team can come together to take the idea to the next level. Below, we'll explore the importance of wireless presentation systems and uncover the key features and benefits that make them a must-have for modern businesses.

Key Features and Benefits

What is a Wireless Presentation System?

Benefits of wireless presentation systems for byod situations.

Applications of Wireless Presentation Systems

Crestron's Wireless Presentation Systems

A wireless presentation system is a technology solution allowing users to wirelessly mirror or cast content from their personal devices onto a shared screen in real time.

The most familiar form of wireless presentation is built into our own personal phones and devices. For example, Samsung® Smart View , LG® Miracast™, Google Pixel™ Screen Cast, and HTC® Media Output are all built into popular consumer devices to allow users to wirelessly share content onto other screens.

All of these features allow users to share the contents of their personal device to a larger viewing screen. The global adoption of this sharing technology has created a shift in expectations that has not only affected the way we share from our personal devices but also how we share in a work environment.

Employees and guests alike have come to expect a simple, one-touch wireless sharing experience in conference rooms and collaboration spaces. These systems are often called BYOD or bring your own device systems. These BYOD systems provide easy wireless content sharing from a phone, computer, or tablet, with built-in security protocols to protect the user and the native network.

BYOD setups are gaining traction in organizations large and small across the globe. While these systems are meant to alleviate friction in collaboration spaces, they can also introduce certain challenges, such as a variety of different devices and operating systems, making it difficult to ensure compatibility and connectivity. Additionally, when personal devices are welcomed into organizations, network security and privacy risks arise as well.

The good news is, with the proper research, planning, and execution, a wireless presentation system can be installed and configured to recognize and connect with nearly any personal device with very little friction.

Crestron AirMedia® technology provides enhanced BYOD capabilities to support advanced wireless presentation and wireless conferencing from a single solution. For organizations using multiple video conferencing platforms, wireless conferencing allows employees to take advantage of the enterprise-grade cameras and microphones in the room from any personal device on any platform. Furthermore, for organizations standardized on Microsoft Teams® or Zoom Rooms® platforms, wireless conferencing also provided the flexibility for joining external calls or equipping guest users to join calls hosted through separate providers.

Not only is AirMedia technology flexible and easy to use, but it can also be set up on it’s own network, so it can run as it’s own independent device with AES encryption. This is ideal for protecting sensitive data on the organization’s network and ensuring guests and all personal device data is kept private.

Crestron’s Wireless Presentation Systems

Having wireless conferencing technology is great, but it’s essential to keep ease-of-use top of mind when selecting an in-room casting solution. One of the leading features for projecting content wirelessly is one-touch presenting. This is a must-have feature when considering a guest casting solution. You may be able to get away with training employees to use a multi-step presentation system, but if you have guests regularly using your meeting rooms, it’s crucial that they can do so as simply as possible.

As a leading provider of wireless presentation systems, Crestron offers a range of products designed to simplify presentation workflows and enhance collaboration.

Crestron AirMedia Technology

Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation and conferencing systems enable users to share content from their laptops, smartphones, and tablets to a display or projector without the need for cables or adapters. With AirMedia technology, users can quickly and easily connect to the system via a single USB connector to the AirMedia dongle.

AirMedia technology offers several benefits, including ease of use, compatibility with a range of devices and operating systems, and robust security features. The system also supports simultaneous connections from multiple users, allowing for more effective collaboration and teamwork.

Jabra® PanaCast® 50 video bar

The Jabra® PanaCast® 50 video bar is a video conferencing camera that provides a 180-degree view of the room, enabling remote participants to see everyone in the meeting. The camera also includes built-in microphones and speakers, providing high-quality audio for meetings.

The Jabra® PanaCast® 50 video bar offers several benefits, including its wide field of view, high-quality audio, and advanced features such as automatic speaker tracking and dynamic light optimization. What is a Wireless Presentation System?

Wireless presentation with BenQ InstaShow system in the office

Wireless presentation system is a device that allows you to mirror your notebook or mobile device content on a shared projector, flat panel, or TV without a need to plug in a cable. Presenters can be switched at a click of a button and no precious time will be wasted wasted. According to Gartner Research , wireless presentations systems are one of the top 10 strategic technologies to improve BYOD collaboration in office spaces.

Unlike consumer wireless dongles for screen mirroring, commercial wireless presentation systems are designed to improve collaboration during meetings and enable multiple presenters to share ideas, concepts, and media without having to plug in a long cable. Because these are purpose-built for collaboration, a typical system will have these key elements:

  • Multiple presenters  – Most systems come with at least two buttons to enable collaboration out of the box and can support 16 or more different presenters.
  • Content Encryption  – Market leaders in this category encrypt the content so that people outside the meeting room cannot wirelessly “listen in” or record the presentation

Wireless presentation systems typically use one of three ways to wirelessly connect to the shared display.

What wireless presentation methods are used the most?

According to Futuresource , wireless presentation systems that used buttons were the most popular approach, followed by those that integrated into AV control systems and WiFi Hubs.

These are the most popular systems – and are very simple to use. To connect to the projector, you simply plug in a button or “puck” to your notebook or device and tap it to start presenting. The button encrypts the signal and wirelessly sends it to a receiver or “host” attached to the display. The Barco ClickShare and BenQ InstaShow are popular models that use this approach.

AV Control System / Video Conferencing Integration

Many traditional AV control systems and video conferencing systems offer wireless connections to their infrastructure to enable presenters to connect without a cable. Systems like the Crestron AirMedia can be integrated into existing HDMI switchers and control panels to leverage existing systems.

WiFi Hub System

These systems typically use a proprietary app to enable a notebook or other device to connect and present to the display using the corporate WiFi network and a receiver attached to the display. Systems such as the AirTame don’t require a button connected to the notebook but rely on the corporate WiFi network infrastructure to be robust enough to enable features such as smooth video frame rates.

What are the most popular brands?

The most popular brands of wireless presentation systems between $500 and $1000 are the Barco ClickShare , BenQ InstaShow , and Mersive Solstice ? according to Futuresource . Each of these solutions is used by major companies, have worldwide availability, and offer strong customer support infrastructures to ensure IT managers get the help they need – if they need it.

What are the most popular features in wireless presentation systems?

High Resolution

For budget reports, calendars and schedules, the ability to read small text on a shared display is crucial to the collaborative process. Most commercial-grade wireless presentation systems will deliver 1080p resolution, while the more expensive versions can deliver 4K.

Smooth Video

Companies rely on videos to effectively communicate their messages to their customers. Different models of wireless presentation systems handle video differenty and depending  on the type and configuration of the wireless presentation system, it can be easy to be able to play videos over the system at frame rates up to 60 frames per second without jittering or frozen frames.

Multiple Screen Options

Many mid-range and higher-end systems enable you to display more than one image on the screen. The most popular models can provide either a split-screen with two presenters or support quad screens with four presenters. When combined with 4K resolution, this enables each presenter to have a high-resolution 1080p image that makes the details of a spreadsheet easy to read.

When connected to an interactive flat panel or projector, the touch back feature can enable a presenter to annotate and control the presentation directly from the screen – while wirelessly saving the changes and notes on a Windows notebook.

Custom Welcome Screen

Commercial-grade systems typically have welcome screens that can be customized via text or special welcome graphics to provide instructions or reminders to the people in the meeting room.

What types of devices can I connect to a wireless presentation system?

All popular wireless presentation systems can support Windows and MacBooks either using a button connection (BenQ InstaShow / Barco Clickshare) or using the company WiFi network. For mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, you can either plug in a button or use an app running on the device.

Some systems also can connect to Chromebooks and other types of devices, such as Blu-ray players and digital cameras, where the buttons can take the HDMI content directly from the device and enable a wireless presentation without any extra software.

How much do they cost?

Most wireless presentation systems used in corporations are typically priced between $500 and $2,000 per room. In addition to the cost of the equipment, some presentation systems – such as those using WiFi networks – can require special network configurations and setup in order to perform properly. Some brands also require annual subscriptions for features such as security updates.

To compare different types of systems and calculate the total cost of ownership for your organization, learn more about how to apply the Gartner TCO model to wireless presentation systems .

Where can I learn more?

BenQ provides a Knowledge base that can answer many detailed questions you may have for your deployment, including how these systems can be used to improve social distancing in a meeting.

We would love to hear from you.

The introduction of wireless transmissions into the data center has been shown to be promising in improving the performance of data center networks (DCN) cost effectively. For high transmission flexibility and performance, a fundamental challenge is to increase the wireless availability and enable fully hybrid and seamless transmissions over both wired and wireless DCN components. Rather than limiting the number of wireless radios by the size of top-of-rack (ToR) switches, we propose a novel DCN architecture, Diamond , which nests the wired DCN with radios equipped on all servers. To harvest the gain allowed by the rich reconfigurable wireless resources, we propose the low-cost deployment of scalable 3D Ring Reflection Spaces (RRSs) which are interconnected with streamlined wired herringbone to enable large number of concurrent wireless transmissions through high-performance multi-reflection of radio signals over metal. To increase the number of concurrent wireless transmissions within each RRS, we propose a precise reflection method to reduce the wireless interference. We build a 60GHz-based testbed to demonstrate the function and transmission ability of our proposed architecture. We further perform extensive simulations to show the significant performance gain of Diamond, in supporting up to five times higher server-to-server capacity, enabling network-wide load balancing, and ensuring high fault tolerance.
