It offers a variety of packages to cater to different budgets, including interior and exterior cleaning, express interior cleaning, high-quality washes, touchless car washes, tire shine, and underbody wash.

Rocket Carwash distinguishes itself with customer-first features such as free vacuuming with state-of-the-art equipment, conveyor belts for vehicle movement through cleaning checkpoints, and water-saving measures.

It also offers membership options for unlimited washes and additional perks for registered subscribers.

Various Rocket Carwash locations across the country use dual belt conveyors at the tunnel entrance. There, your vehicle undergoes a multi-phased process that uses innovative car cleaning equipment to eliminate grime and debris from hard-to-reach spots.

Some of the services available in Rocket Carwash are:

  • Basic interior and exterior cleaning
  • Express interior cleaning with full vacuuming
  • High-quality wash with bug prep and clear coat
  • Touchless car wash
  • Underbody wash

I could try to explain it in writing, but I find it easier to just show you in videos. I went to my nearest Rocket location and filmed this video so you can see the wash in action for yourself:

As you can see, the wash is very nice. Unlike other carwashes that are a bit outdated, Rocket Carwash is well-kept and packed with technology.

My wife has a Rocket Carwash subscription and she loves it. She takes her vehicle to get cleaned every weekend and it always comes back looking great.

When she first got the subscription, she noticed some little black streaks on her car after going through the car wash. I took it back up and got it washed and I noticed the same.

When I mentioned it to the manager, they let me know that they can actually adjust the car wash settings to your vehicle.

When the standard settings are used, the wash can sometimes be a bit rough on the vehicle, so they sometimes move the brush configuration – dynamically – depending on which vehicle goes through.

In my wife’s case, the brushes were hitting too close and too hard, so they suggested something called a “full retract”, which moves the brushes as far away as they can be.

Once they adjusted the brushes, there have been no more black marks on the vehicle.

If you’re having issues at Rocket, just talk to the management and they’ll be very happy to help work through it.

Rock Carwash services are some of the most customer-friendly in the country.

First, there’s free vacuuming available for all customers, with innovative equipment designed to suction hard with minimal clogging.

Each bay also has a compressed air gun, crevice tool, and super vac to reach those hard-to-reach spots in your car interior.

Next, there’s the conveyor belt system.

Instead of the traditional rails used to usher in cars, various Rocket Carwash locations across the country use conveyor belts to move your vehicle through a series of high-powered cleaning checkpoints.

Rocket Carwash also saves over 70 gallons of water per wash compared to regular home washing. The service uses NoPileup technology, one of the world’s most innovative car tunnel optimization systems, to load cars safely and reduce the risk of damage in the car wash.

Tip: I suggest also checking out Tommy’s Wash Club , which is similar to Rocket Carwash in both services, technology, and price.

Rocket Carwash provides two membership types:

As a non-member, single packages can cost between $14 and $50 for a car wash session with Rocket Carwash services. Subscribed members pay monthly fees ranging from $23.99 to $39.99.

As a registered subscriber to Rocket Carwash, you get even more perks:

  • Easy Signup : You can sign up in as quickly as 30 minutes at any Rocket car wash without even getting out of your car.
  • Unlimited Wash : As a Rocket Carwash member, you have the freedom to use the special members-only lane to wash your vehicle as many times as you want.
  • Hot Water Mat Machine : Rocket Carwash customers can look forward to having their cars treated with a hot water mat machine that effectively cleans and dries rubber and carpet floor mats in less than a minute.

It’s worth noting that if you have multiple vehicles and want multiple subscriptions, management will oftentimes lower the price for you.

When my wife first signed up for her subscription, I asked about a multi-vehicle discount and they dropped the second subscription down to $20 out of goodwill.

Companies, especially subscription services, almost always give a discount to keep you happy. They see the long-term value of a customer and want to make sure you stay.

I ALWAYS suggest asking about these types of things.

When Is Rocket Carwash Open?

Rocket Carwash company facilities are open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Where Can I Find Rocket Carwash?

What Is a Carwash Business Plan?

A business plan provides a snapshot of your car wash as it stands today, and lays out your growth plan for the next five years. It explains your business goals and your strategy for reaching them. It also includes your company description, including your car washing services, business model and pricing. It includes a marketing plan, marketing strategies and market research to support your plans. It should also include a full financial plan including cash flow statement, income statement and balance sheets.

Why Do You Need a Business Plan for a Car Wash Business?

If you’re looking to start a car wash or grow your existing car wash you need a business plan. A business plan will help you raise funding, if needed, and plan out the growth of your car wash in order to improve your chances of success. Your car wash business plan is a living document that should be updated annually as your company grows and changes.

What Are the Sources of Funding for a Car Wash Business?

With regards to funding, the main sources of funding for a car wash are bank loans and angel investors. With regards to bank loans, banks will want to review your business plan and gain confidence that you will be able to repay your loan and interest. To acquire this confidence, the loan officer will not only want to confirm that your financials are reasonable. But they will want to see a professional plan. Such a plan will give them the confidence that you can successfully and professionally operate a business.

The second most common form of funding for a car wash is angel investors. Angel investors are wealthy individuals who will write you a check. They will either take equity in return for their funding, or, like a bank, they will give you a loan. Venture capitalists will not fund a car wash. They might consider funding a chain of car washes, but never an individual location. This is because most venture capitalists are looking for millions of dollars in return when they make an investment, and an individual location could never achieve such results.

How to write a car wash business plan in 8 steps

If you’re starting a new car wash business or looking to expand an existing one, having a car wash business plan serves as a strategic roadmap for your entrepreneurial journey.

Here, you’ll get a good idea of how to draft a perfect car wash business plan and what details you need to include.

Consider following these 8 essential steps while writing a comprehensive business plan:

1. Executive summary

An executive summary is the first section of a car wash business plan that offers a quick overview of your car wash services.

Typically, this section would be written at the end once all the key sections are ready because it summarizes the most essential aspects you mentioned in the rest of the plan.

You may start writing an executive summary with a compelling introduction to your car wash company, highlighting your idea behind this business and what type of business you’re running.

Then, consider describing the following important elements in a brief:

  • Vision and mission statements
  • Market opportunities
  • Car wash services or products
  • Marketing efforts
  • Financial projections

Overall, your plan summary allows you to capture the reader’s attention and provide them with a clear understanding of your business idea, goals, and strategies. So, ensure you keep it simple and short (2 or 3 pages).

2. Business description

As the name indicates, this section provides a detailed description of your business. It includes all the foundational elements of your business, starting from its basic information (name, size, & location) to future goals.

So, it would be your chance to give an in-depth understanding of your car wash company and explain your business concept in more detail.

First, you may consider including the basic information of your car wash business, such as registered business name, owners, legal structure, location and reason for choosing that place, as well as the type of business you own.

After that, try to mention your business’s background history and explain how it came into its recent position. Also, highlight a memorable, clear mission statement.

Lastly, don’t forget to describe the key milestones you have achieved till now and your long-term business goals.

3. Market analysis

The market analysis section of a business plan provides valuable insights into the external business environment.

So, take some time to conduct thorough research and give a clear knowledge of the car wash industry and the specific market niche in which your business intends to operate and expand.

You could even analyze and identify the market size & its growth potential, target market, customer demographics & preferences, and top competitors (both direct & indirect), emerging market trends, and regulatory requirements.

This will help you define the market gaps and explain how your car wash services will stand out in the crowd.

Remember, this chapter would really impress the investors or partners if you include research-backed information in it. For example:

“In the United States, the car wash services market is forecasted to increase from $16.33 billion in 2023 to $27.89 billion by 2033, with a growing CAGR of 5.5%.”

4. Product line or services

This section provides detailed information about the products or service offerings and elaborates on your service range, description, pricing strategies, and more.

You may include specific car wash services that you will offer your customers—whether it’s an automatic car wash or a self-service car wash.

Also, highlight the additional services, such as interior vacuuming, undercarriage washes, deodorizing treatments, or car detailing (if any).

Furthermore, you may consider discussing the different types of car wash products or equipment you use and clarify how you maintain the quality standards.

In short, this section must be informative, precise, and customer-focused. With clear and compelling details about your offerings, you can help potential investors and readers understand the value of your business.

5. Marketing and sales strategies

The marketing and sales strategies outline a list of promotional strategies and tactics you’ll use to reach your target audience and maximize revenue while keeping track of the marketing budget.

This will involve several key aspects, like who you’re trying to reach, what message you want to tell them, and how you plan to attract and retain them.

As a car wash business owner, your strategies might include online & offline marketing or external promotional campaigns that must align with your company’s goals and objectives. For example,

  • Unique Selling Propositions (USPs)
  • Social media advertising
  • Strong web presence
  • Word-of-mouth promotions
  • Loyalty programs or events
  • Collaborations with other businesses

So, consider having a specific, realistic, and data-driven approach while preparing a sales & marketing plan for your car wash business. Also, be ready to adapt or change your strategies based on feedback and results.

6. Organizational structure

The organizational structure presents a clear snapshot of the individuals responsible for driving your car wash business forward. So, you’ll need to introduce your team members in this section.

You may highlight the car wash business owners and key managers, along with their roles and responsibilities, educational backgrounds, skills, and experiences that support you in expanding your services.

Also, try to mention the business’s organizational hierarchy and roles, including how decisions will be made.

For instance, here’s an illustration of an organization chart using Upmetrics:

car wash business organization chart

If your team is lacking, specify the number of employees required and describe what type of work experience you need as well as how you will manage training practices.

Besides that, you may clarify your compensation plan for the leadership team and staff, including their salaries, incentives, and other benefits.

If applicable, you might give a brief resume-styled summary of the external advisors, consultants, or board members who help in strategic decision-making.

7. Financial projections

Developing a strong, in-depth financial plan, along with realistic financial projections is the most essential yet demanding element of any business plan.

In fact, it’s one of the deciding factors for potential investors, banks, or partners to invest or lend money in your car wash business.

So, you may consider including the monthly financial projections for the first year at least while giving annual projections for the next few (3-5) years. Here are a few critical statements and reports you should include:

  • Sales & revenue forecasts
  • Income statement
  • Cash flow estimates
  • Balance sheets
  • Initial startup costs
  • Funding requirements
  • Break-even analysis

Moreover, you may describe important financial assumptions and cover sensitivity analyses for different scenarios.

This way, you can provide a detailed blueprint of your company’s financial information and strategies to achieve long-term growth and profitability, allowing financial backers to make informed decisions.

8. Appendix

The appendix of your car wash business plan encloses the supporting documents or attachments that don’t fit into specific sections but support your plan. It includes:

  • Market research data and surveys
  • Legal documents like permits, licenses, and contracts
  • Financial copies for tax returns or credit history
  • Resumes of leadership team
  • Marketing materials
  • Operational procedures

You may also incorporate any additional information that your readers might use as a reference.

Jason Derulo Cleans Up Nicely With Car Wash Investment Valued at $2 Billion

International pop star Jason Derulo is hoping to step out of the spotlight thanks to a lucrative investment.

The “Talk Dirty” singer recently appeared on the YouTube show Forbes Talks , where he discussed his rise to fame in the music industry and on TikTok. The viral sensation then went on to talk about his success in the not-so-popular car wash lane with a company called Rocket Carwash. “Rocket Carwash is basically changing the way that people get their cars washed,” Derulo said. “So it’s an amazing facility, you know? You go in, and you pay a membership, and you can get your car washed at any time.” Rocket currently has locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and California.

Derulo acknowledged that the car wash business isn’t the sexiest industry to get into, but it may be a very smart move. Finurah reports the global car wash services market is valued at a little over $29 billion and continues to rise. From now through 2030, the value is expected to grow at an annual rate of 3.1%. Derulo claims his own business is worth $2 billion.

Derulo likened the car wash business to Netflix or Spotify. “It is a very unsexy business, but it is a monster. It is like the Spotify model and how Spotify changed the music industry,” the songwriter said. “It is Netflix and how Netflix changed the film industry…If I can get my car washed at any time for a very low, low price, I mean, it beats any other car wash out there, especially it being better than the other ones as well.”

Derulo is familiar with the investment space. According to the BBC, he has invested in numerous successful businesses including the BBC’s Project Icon reality show, the boxing firm Rumble Boxing, and Catch LA, a luxury restaurant.
