Since time immemorial, the reference of sports using animals have always existed. However, the morality of this practice is a contentious issue. As the emerging society believes in equal rights for animals, it urges on the discontinuation of these games because of their one nature. This essay will illustrate the opinion of both sides and my personal opinion will be stolen in the conclusion.

Utilization of animals for human entertainment is not a new practice. There are several shreds of evidence about the existence of animals in games in the historical documents. Competitions like lion fights, Mentone in Roman culture are a clear example. People usually enjoy such games for the adrenaline such they get while viewing them. Also, they hug amount of money given to the owner of winning animals acts as a luring factor for participants. For example, the illegal countries are one of the leading income sources for the people who put bets on the winning animal.

The results of these sports ethene's results in the death of the opponent or leave them in excruciating pain because of the injuries they suffer. As a result of such dreadful fight endings, the much private non-profitable organization we protesting against these blood games. They have started various campaigns to pique people’s interest on this issue. For instance, various protests by PETA for animal rights resulted in banning of some these games in some countries.

To conclude, in my opinion, the continuation of such sports is inhuman, as animals are our 10-inhabitants on this planet. They must not be hurt for our entertainment purposes.

Thus, these games need to be terminated, which on only occurs with the combined effort of both the authorities and the general population.

IELTS essay: Blood sports should be banned.

shirleybouvier 1 / -   Nov 28, 2012   #1 Blood sports have become a hot topic for debate in recent years. As society develops it is increasingly seen as an uncivilized activity and cruel to the helpless animals that are killed. Blood sports should be banned. To what extent to you agree or disagree? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The issue of blood sports has been gradually becoming significant over the past years, where influences have been seen in animals. Some advocate that blood sports should be banned, whereas some oppose to the idea. Both arguments will be discussed in the following paragraphs. It appears that blood sports are considered to be popular activities in a number of places, which represents that some population enjoy this particular sport for several reasons. Rumour has it that blood sport is one way to bring excitement to life for both the contestants and audience. Seemingly, prizes are often offered for the winners of blood sports, which can be regarded as an achievement as well as a source of income for some people. For instance, the champions of animal fighting are usually rewarded with a certain amount of money and meanwhile the audience is entertained. Thus, blood sports are considered to be rewarding and enjoyable activities. Despite all the disagreeing discussion of the topic mentioned above, there are still some certain agreeing arguments exist for this particular issue. It is usually agreed that blood sports are inhumane and violent to animals due to the fact that it can lead to an increase on the deaths of animals. Obviously, the animals are incapable of expressing their feelings as human beings do, which signifies that those with great involvement in this specific sport, use the animals as a tool for entertaining experiences and gaining money even though they know the animals are vulnerable. In fact, most injured animals after each fighting are thought to be ignored or treated disrespectfully. For example, exhaustion, dehydration, infection and even death are commonly seen in those animals after the fights in blood sports. Therefore, blood sports should be prohibited. To sum up, the disagreements upon blood sports definitely outweigh the agreements, which is valuable for the rights of the animals. However, there is still a certain amount of opposing conceptions, which the decision still belongs to the general public. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you in advance!!

Blood Sports | An IELTS Essay Sample

Blood sports have become a hot topic for debate in recent years. As society develops it is increasingly seen as an uncivilized activity and cruel to the helpless animals that are killed. All blood sports should be banned. Discuss the main arguments for this statement and give your own opinion .

? The Essay Written by LELB Students

Today, prohibition against blood sports is a heated argument. Some want to enjoy their time, no matter how awful animals are treated. However, I personally believe that these sorts of sports should be omitted, undoubtedly.

To begin with, all creatures have the right to live freely without any harassment. To be more specific, world belongs to all humans, animals, plants, etc. and if human beings are more intelligent, it does not mean that humans can restrict others. So, blood sports are out of the question.

In addition, government and individuals should consider animal rights as an essential issue in these days. I personally speculate that all blood sports are symptomatic of culture and in order to attempt to omit these sorts of sports, people should alter their culture. To conclude, in my opinion , we should pay more attention to this fact that the animals life is so important.

Blood sport is regarded as a kind of cruelty rather than a sport in today’s world. The more tendency to apply the ethical and moral issues, the more respectful view people may have towards all creatures’ rights concluding animals. Explicitly speaking, the widespread prevalence of this kind of sport generates some hostile and belligerent spirits in people which may keep them away of having amicable relationships and behaviours. Moreover, with the increased attention to the issues of conservation and preservation, the application of such sports is significantly disregarded.

Boxing is a blood sport which often results in physical injury It is inappropriate for this sport to exist in the modern age Do you agree or disagree

Boxing is a blood sport which often results in physical injury. It is inappropriate for this sport to exist in the modern age.

Do you agree or disagree?

It is true that boxing is often considered a violent sport and boxers are usually seriously injured after a match. As a result, many people suggest that this sport should not exist in the modern day. In my opinion, I think that although boxing seems to be inappropriate, it does not necessarily have to be vanished. On the one hand, boxing appears to be a bloody sport. After an intense match, fighters could have their bones broken, or even die in some cases. Therefore, people think it goes against the aims of sports, which are promoting health and encouraging people to make friends with others; thus, it should be banned. However, there are measures that can be taken to prevent the serious consequences of boxing. By equipping fighters with more protection and prohibitting the dangerous attacks, the major injuries are hopefully reduced. On the other hand, boxing can offer people many valueable benefits. To begin with, practicing boxing is a great way of learning self-defence. Boxing has shown to be one of the most effective martial arts in terms of practical combat, which can help people to protect their lives and properties in many situations. In addition, the sport also gains people fitness. As practicing boxing burns a substantial amount of calories, people can lose their weight after a short time doing this sport. In conclusion, even though boxing could be seen as a violent sport, the threats that it poses could be minimized with some appropriate methods. Furthermore, doing it regularly can give people considerable advantages. Thus, I hold a firm belief that boxing should only be regulated instead of banned.
