As you start making videos for YouTube, you will discover that one of the best ways of sharing them is on social media. The thing is creating content on YouTube is different from Facebook, Twitter, and other channels. Understanding the native content of each platform, the behavior of the audience, and how to best optimize and schedule content on other channels will ensure that you not only get views to your YouTube video but build a lasting fanbase.

6. Moz: SEO Training Course

At the start, one of the most effective ways for your videos to get discovered is through search. Moz, a search engine optimization (SEO) tool, compiled all their instructional videos together for this course, in order to teach you all the basics of how Google determines whether to show your content as number one in the search result page or bury it deep in the basement where it will never see the light of day.

Understanding the fundamentals of SEO will put you leaps and bounds ahead of other YouTubers who are merely creating content out of random ideas they pluck from their heads.

After you have found a comfortable niche for your YouTube channel to flourish in, it’s time to start thinking of your channel and your personality as a brand. What is a brand exactly? This free course from FutureLearn highlights some of the most fundamental aspects of branding and gives you a broad understanding of how to brand your channel and how good branding can make all the difference.

This free course gives you 8-weeks of free access, which includes articles, videos, peer reviews, and quizzes.

8. Leadpages: The Affiliate Marketing System

As you grow your audience and have earned some credibility in your field, you will think of ways of monetizing your content. One way of doing that is through affiliate marketing, where you attached a link to a retailer’s website such as Amazon, and should your viewer click on the link and make a purchase, you will get a commission. Sounds wonderfully easy, right? Easy it is not, but with the help of this course from Leadpages, a landing page builder, you will get some strategies and resources to build your affiliate marketing program that earns you a passive income.

Leadpages offers this course in video and audio format, in addition, there are 14 downloadable PDFs.

Llama caddies? Llama caddies! No need to mention anything else. Let’s just get right into it.

Sherwood Forest Golf Club in Brevard, North Carolina, has been pushing this, ahem, new type of caddie for some time now, but according to Axios , “tourism and recreational activities involving llamas have been on an upswing,” and these camelid loopers are as popular as it gets. There are around 30-ish llamas at the course that have been trained to carry your bags. It’s just as adorable as you might expect.

The caddies don’t need any cash either. They’re fine with some water and “a handful of tasty greens.”

Historically, llamas have been used to carry heavy things and can typically lug anything between 70 to 120 pounds. They’re from the Andes Mountain regions of Peru, Bolivia, and Chile and are known as “easy walkers,” so as to not destroy the grass they tread on, according to the Rutgers 4-H Animal Science Resource Blog .

Llamas as caddies have been around since the early 1990s when Talamore Golf Resort in Southern Pines used the idea to generate publicity at the newly opened Rees Jones-designed course. It was a hit and is now being replicated by Mark English, a golfer and owner of a nearby llama farm, who threw the idea out to Sherwood club pro Brian Lautenschlager.

Golfers are assigned their own llama, along with an expert to escort each foursome. Sorry to all of the human caddies out there, but this might be the future of golf. It may be time to head back to college for all the loopers out there to pick up an animal science degree. The game is constantly moving. You don’t want to fall behind.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ’s next wave of DLC courses is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 12. Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will add an all-new track, Squeaky Clean Sprint, and three new drivers to the playable roster: Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek.

Petey Piranha previously appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! , while Wiggler was last seen behind the wheel in Mario Kart 7. Kamek, a Magikoopa, is playable in Mario Kart Tour , but he was previously planned for Mario Kart 64 , before being swapped out in favor of Donkey Kong. Nintendo still has a handful of candidates who can join the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe roster in future DLC.

The new course Squeaky Clean Sprint sends players into a suds-filled bathroom, where miniature racers will drive across a slippery tile floor, through a bathtub, and tracks made of towels.

The previous wave of courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe dropped in March, bringing a brand-new course, Yoshi’s Island, and a returning racer, Birdo, to the Switch game. The sixth and final wave of course is due by the end of 2023.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ’s Booster Course Pass costs $24.99 and can be purchased from the Nintendo eShop. The pass also comes included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack which costs $49.99 a year for an individual, or $79.99 a year for a family plan.

According to Nintendo, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the Switch’s best-selling game of all time, with more than 53 million copies sold as of March 31, 2023.

Update (July 6): This story has been updated with new details, including the release date of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 DLC. The eight courses being added alongside new drivers Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek are:
