எனது செல்லப்பிராணி

பொம்மைகள் எத்தனை இருந்தாலும், செல்லப் பிராணிகளிடம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு உருவாகும் பிடிப்பு உயிரோட்டமானது. அதைக் கவனித்துக்கொள்ளும்போது குழந்தையும் ஒரு தாயாக/தந்தையாக மாறிவிடும். செல்லப் பிராணி வளர்ப்பு, ஆர்வம் நிறைந்த ஒரு செயல் மட்டுமல்ல; உடல்நலம், மனநலம், சமூகநலம் ஆகியவற்றை ஒன்றாகக்கொண்டது. உங்கள் குழந்தையின் உலகத்தில் கைப்பேசிகளைக் கொடுத்து, இயந்திரமாக மாற்றுவதைக் காட்டிலும் செல்லப் பிராணிகளுடன் பழகவிடுவது பல மடங்கு சிறந்தது. குழந்தைகளுக்கான செல்லப் பிராணி வளர்ப்பு பற்றியும் அவற்றைப் பராமரிக்கும் அடிப்படை வழிமுறைகள் பற்றியும் சொல்கிறார், கால்நடை மருத்துவர் செளந்திர பாண்டியன். குழந்தைகளிடம் அன்பு, பாசம், கருணை போன்ற குணங்களை வளர்த்தெடுக்க செல்லப் பிராணி வளர்ப்பு தூண்டுகோலாக அமையும். ஆனால், செல்லப் பிராணிகளை வாங்கிக்கொடுப்பதற்கு முன்பு, அது அவர்களின் வயது, மனநிலை போன்றவற்றுக்கு ஏற்றதா என்பதை யோசித்துப் வாங்குவது முக்கியம்.

பலரது வீட்டில் செல்ல பிராணியாக வளர்க்கக்கூடியது நாய். வீட்டில் நாயை வளர்ப்பவர்கள் மீது அளவற்ற பாசத்தோடும், நன்றி விசுவாசத்தோடு இருப்பது மனித உயிரினங்களை காட்டிலும் நாய் தான். வீட்டிற்கு பாதுகாப்பும் அளிக்கக்கூடிய பிராணியாக விளங்குகிறது. நாய் குட்டி என்றாலே வீட்டில் அனைவரும் விரும்பி வளர்ப்பார்கள். நாய்களிலே பல வகையான நாய் இனங்கள் உள்ளன. இந்த பதிவில் பலரும் அறிந்திராத நாய்களின் சில சுவாரஸ்யமான தகவல்களை பொதுநலம் பதிவு மூலம் அனைவருக்கும் தெரியப்படுத்துவதில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறோம்.

மனிதரிடம் இருக்கும் மோப்ப சக்தியை விட நாய்களின் மோப்ப சக்தி கிட்டத்தட்ட 10000 முதல் 100000 மடங்கு அதிகமானதாகும். மனிதர்களின் உணர்வுகளை கூட நாய்கள் அவைகளின் மோப்ப சக்தியின் மூலம் அறிந்துவிடும். உதாரணத்திற்கு நீங்கள் அச்சத்தில் இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றால் அந்த பய உணர்வினை கூட நாய் அதுவின் மோப்ப சக்தியால் கண்டுபிடித்து விடும். 

மனிதர்களுக்குள் இருக்கும் கேன்சர் போன்ற நோய்களையும் நாய் மோப்ப சக்தியின் மூலம் கண்டறிந்துவிடும்.

அமெரிக்காவில் ஒட்டு மொத்தமாக 75 மில்லியன் நாய்கள் செல்லப்பிராணிகளாக வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன.

தற்போது உலகிலையே 400 பில்லியன் நாய்கள் வளர்க்கப்படுகிறது.

பொதுவாக நாய் குட்டிகளுக்கு 28 பற்கள் முளைத்திருக்கும். வளர்ந்த நாய்களுக்கு 42 பற்கள் இருக்கும். 

நாயானது 1 மணி நேரத்தில் 19 மைல் தூரம் வரை ஓடும் ஆற்றல் உடையது.

மனிதர்கள் பேசும் 1000-ற்கும் மேற்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளை நாய் இனத்தினால் புரிந்துக்கொள்ள முடியும்.

உலகிலையே அதிகமாக உடல் எடை கொண்ட நாய் இனமானது மஸ்டிப் என்ற நாய். மஸ்டிப் நாயின் எடையானது 200 பவுண்டு.

நாய்கள் உயிர் வாழக்கூடிய ஆண்டானது 10-14 ஆண்டுகள் வரை.

நாய் குட்டி 18 முதல் 20 மணி நேரங்கள் வரை ஒரு நாளைக்கு தூக்கத்திற்காக நேரத்தினை ஒதுக்கும்.

2 வயது குழந்தையின் அறிவுத்திறனுக்கு ஈடானது நாயின் அறிவுத்திறன்.

உலகில் முதன் முதலில் விண்வெளிக்கு சென்ற நாய் ரஷ்ய நாட்டை சேர்ந்த லைக்கா என்ற நாய். ரஷ்ய நாடானது 1957-ம் ஆண்டு லைக்கா நாயை விண்வெளிக்கு அனுப்பியது.

நாய்களில் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான இனங்கள் உள்ளது. புல்டாக், ஜெர்மன் ஷெப்பர்ட், கோலி, கோல்டன் ரெட்ரீவர், செயின்ட் பெர்னார்ட், கிரேஹவுண்ட், பிளட்ஹவுண்ட், சிவாவா, லாப்ரடோர், கிரேட் டேன், ரோட்வீலர், பாக்ஸர் மற்றும் காக்கர் ஸ்பானியல் என பல வகைகள் உள்ளன.

இரவில் மனிதர்களுக்கு வரும் கனவுகளும் நாய்களுக்கு வரும் கனவுகளும் கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரே மாதிரியாக இருக்கும் என்று அறிவியல் கூறுகிறது.

மனிதர்களை விட நான்கு மடங்கு தூரத்தில் உள்ள ஒலிகளைக் கேட்கும் திறன் கொண்டது நாய்கள்.

இரவு நேரத்தில் மனிதர்களின் பார்வை திறனை விட நாய்களுடைய பார்வை திறன் அதிகமாக இருக்கும்.

நாய்களுக்கும் பொறாமை குணம் உண்டு. நம்ப முடியலையா? வீட்டில் இரண்டு நாய் நீங்கள் வளர்த்து வந்து ஒரு நாய்க்கு நல்ல கவனிப்பு கொடுத்து இன்னொரு நாய்க்கு உபசரிப்பு செய்யவில்லை என்றால் பொறாமை படும்.

பூனை மற்றும் நாய் எதிரிகள் அல்ல. இரண்டினங்களும் நட்புறவோடே இருக்கும்.

உலகிலையே மிகவும் பழமையான நாய் இனம் எகிப்திய நாட்டை சேர்ந்த சலுக்கி இனத்தை சேர்ந்த நாய் இனமாகும். 

ஒரு நாயின் வாசனை உணர்வு மனிதனை விட 10,000 மடங்கு வலிமையானதாம்.

நாய்க்குட்டிகள் சிறிய குழந்தைகள் போல மறைந்து விளையாடும் விளையாட்டுகளை அதிகம் விரும்புமாம். நீங்கள் மறைந்து கொண்டு உங்கள் நாய்க்குட்டியின் பெயரை கூப்பிட்டால் உங்களை தேடி வந்து கொஞ்சுவது நாய்க்கு ரொம்ப பிடிக்குமாம்.

மனிதர்கள் சொல்லி கொடுக்கும் வார்த்தைகளில் 1000-ற்கும் மேற்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளை நாய் இனங்கள் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும்.

அமெரிக்க நாட்டை சேர்ந்த ஜனாதிபதி கால்வின் கூலிட்ஜ் குறைந்தது ஒரு டஜன் நாய்களை வைத்திருந்தாராம்.

மனிதர்களுக்கு கை ரேகைகளில் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் வித்தியாசம் இருக்கும். அது போன்று நாய்களுக்கும் மூக்கில் உள்ள ரேகைகள் மாறுபடும். 

15 சென்டி மீட்டர் உயரம் இருக்கும் சிஹுவாகுவா இன நாய்கள் மிகவும் குறைவுத்தான். 

நாய் இனங்களில் மிகவும் உயரமான நாய் ஐரிஷ் வொல்ஃப்ஹவுண்ட்ஸ். நாயின் உயர அடியானது 76 முதல் 88 சென்டி மீட்டர் வரை இருக்கும்.

நாய் இனங்களில் அதிகமாக குறைக்கக்கூடிய நாய்: மினியேச்சர் ஸ்க்னாசர்ஸ், கெய்ர்ன் டெரியர்ஸ, யார்க்ஷயர் டெரியர்ஸ், ஃபாக்ஸ் டெரியர்ஸ் மற்றும் வெஸ்ட் ஹைலேண்ட் ஒயிட் டெரியர்ஸ்.

அலாஸ்கன் மலாமுட் இன நாய்கள் 70 டிகிரி முதல் பூஜ்யம் டிகிரி வரை வெப்ப நிலையைத் தாங்கும் திறன் கொண்டது.

அதிக இரத்த அழுத்தம் குறைய வீட்டில் செல்ல பிராணியாக நாயை வளர்க்கலாம். 

ஐஸ்லாந்தின் நாட்டின் தலைநகரில் செல்லப் பிராணிகளாக நாய்களை வைத்திருப்பது சட்டவிரோதமாக ஒரு காலத்தில் இருந்துள்ளது என்றாலும் தற்பொழுது அந்த சட்டங்கள் இல்லை.

ஒரு பெண் நாய் அதன் துணை மற்றும் அவற்றின் நாய்க்குட்டிகளும் சேர்ந்து ஆறு ஆண்டுகளில் 67,000 நாய்க்குட்டிகளை பெற்றெடுக்க முடியுமாம்.

நாய்கள் ஓநாய்களின் நேரடி சந்ததியினர் தெரியுமா.

நாய்க்குட்டிகளுக்கு பிறக்கும் போது கண் தெரியாது, காது கேட்காது, பல் இருக்காது.
