Essay 3 (500 – 600 Words) – My Dream House

Houses are the structures built by human beings for dwelling. There are different kinds of houses constructed according to the climatic conditions and availability of space. Houses can be apartments, single-family houses, bungalows, cabins, etc. It depends upon the needs and financial availability of people.

Concept of House

The need for shelter has been observed from an early age. The early men used to live in caves for shelter and protection. Since life was unorganized and non-systematic during that period. The scenario started changing as the need of man started increasing. It was the necessity only which gave rise to such advancements. People need houses to live with their family members.

The construction of a house must be done in a sensible way either it is a smaller or larger one. The creation of a house depends upon needs and imagination. Thus we can see that renovation in the structuring of the house goes on according to the requirements.

I am living in a 1 BHK flat in Delhi, along with my family members. There are four members in my family. Since we are living in a metro city, we get small houses in large rents. We live in a small house not fitting according to the family requirements but the care and affection of family never made us realize the space. There is only one bedroom so we two children have accommodated ourselves in the living area.

We have a proper kitchen, washroom, and a small balcony too. Our house is painted and remains clean always. We do not have much space but it is enough for our small family. We have a park in front of our apartment, which provides a good view. We also have a roof and sometimes we go there for getting good air. I have a small home, but it is properly managed and I love my place.

There is a lot of problem in metro cities if a person is having a larger family. The big flats are costly and thus people are compelled to live in small areas and are more prone to health-related problems due to poor housing.

A Vision of My Dream House

I wish for my own house in the future, as we are living in a small house. I wish for my dream house to live with my parents and sisters. According to me, house should be equipped with all facilities like proper washrooms, kitchens, and airy rooms. I never dream of a big house, instead of a place which gives me the feeling of happiness and security and affinity. I am enlisting the features of my dream house.

My Dream House Essay - 100, 200, 500 Words

Everyone should dream about their dream house and should achieve it. Food, clothing, and a place to live are considered to be every person's three basic needs. Typically, everyone needs help to obtain these three things before achieving other goals. When we have a place to reside, it makes us feel delighted.

100 Words Essay on My Dream House

200 words essay on my dream house, 500 words essay on my dream house.

My Dream House Essay - 100, 200, 500 Words

I frequently visualise my future house. In a house, one is surrounded by the people one cherishes. The people that reside there make a house lovely, not the furnishings or decorations. When I become older, my dream house should be one I can live in with my family. I frequently envision a wooden home in a steep place. My dream house would be situated near a small, rushing river. I could see the sun setting and vanishing behind the mountains through the windows. My dream house would include a small garden to grow fruits and veggies. I will decorate my dream house with plants, paintings, and beautiful art.

My dream house will be situated on the seaside. I can see the sun setting and vanishing behind the sea through the windows. My dream home would include a small garden to grow fruits and veggies . My dream house would have four rooms, a sizable common area, and be rather large. My dream house should be cosy for my siblings, parents, and grandparents. In my dream house, all of the contemporary conveniences should be up there. It should have a large TV, a home theatre system, and a playstation.

The house will have light-coloured walls that will give the impression that it is bright. Every room will have enough lamps and light bulbs. In my dreams, the guest room will have a chandelier and a large sofa where everyone can enjoy watching TV together. My grandparents enjoy books. I hope the reading room in my ideal home has an extensive collection of books.

I also want to provide my dog with a quiet, cosy area in my home where he may rest and unwind. The house will have a lovely interior design and all the amenities, including an updated kitchen, three bathrooms, a stairway leading to a terrace, air conditioning units, etc. The place where we can all live happily and comfortably is my dream house.

My dream house would be a large home surrounded by a garden with trees and flowers. It will be a place where I may find true peace and contentment outside the city, on the outskirts of town. Therefore, the elements of my ideal home should reflect who I am in terms of both location and interior and exterior design.

The sounds of nature have always captivated me. In this regard, I picture my home built in the countryside near a river. It would be situated such that I could access clean air and water. Additionally, I want to stay close to a major city's core, so I can quickly go for office work when necessary.

Location | In actuality, the central aspect of the location of my dream house would be near serenity and harmony along with nature. My house would have a long driveway with a concrete circle around it. Around my house, I would have numerous flower beds filled with colourful flowers. I likewise dream of having a patio that encircled my 4,500 square foot house on both the front and the back. My house would have gorgeous bright blue, orange, yellow, and green outside walls with some Mexican fabrics framing all of the windows and doors.

Backyard | I would adore having a family gym, ball court, small cricket ground, Jacuzzi, and in-ground pool in the backyard. A small bar in my swimming pool would be ideal, especially during the summer. Eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, two dining rooms, a kitchen, a library, a playroom, and an office would make up the interior of my house. My bedrooms would be furnished with rustic pieces, vivid bedding, and coordinating drapes and rugs. There would also be a massive, roomy walk-in closet in each bedroom. There should be indoor sports games in the backyard like table tennis, carrom, and ludo.

Bathrooms | In all ten bathrooms, Mexican wall art would be installed, and Mexican tiled countertops would surround my tub, sink, and shower. Additionally, I would want a sizable closet and plenty of cabinet space in each bathroom for storage. My living room would be practically the largest room in my house to accommodate a large family. A large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, a fireplace, and theatre-style surround sound would all be necessities. Tables and room for about 20 people would need to be included in the two dining areas.

Kitchen | The largest room in my ideal home would be the kitchen. All of my kitchen appliances should be metal and coordinated. My kitchen would have a large island in the middle, where one of my stoves would be situated, and I would make food for my family and friends.

House is the best place, which gives us the feeling of love, affection, and security. It is the place where we feel most relaxed and free. Having your own house means you can sleep without any hesitation. I dream of having my own house someday which will be big enough for my whole family. I would also love to entertain my friends and relatives during holidays and festivities in my house.

My House Essay 250 Words

A home serves as a sanctuary from the daily grind, providing solace and security. I reside in a charming abode nestled within a bustling urban neighborhood. This location boasts convenient proximity to a bus stop, educational institutions, shops, and more. My home is my haven, a place where I feel at ease and self-assured, and one where I yearn to spend most of my time.

Inside, there are three spacious bedrooms, a welcoming dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, and well-maintained bathrooms. In the front yard, we’ve cultivated a delightful garden with colorful flowers, while the backyard is dedicated to growing our own vegetables. Abundant natural light permeates the house, enhancing its inviting ambiance.

Constructed from a combination of sturdy materials like bricks, wood, tiles, and marble, my home exudes a timeless charm. The marble flooring lends an air of elegance throughout. The bedrooms are generously proportioned, well-ventilated, and flooded with natural light. Our bathrooms are commodious and feature modern showers, while our dining area is tastefully adorned.

The open kitchen allows us to savor the view of our backyard while preparing meals. Notably, our windows, constructed from rich brown wood, are broad and open wide during sunny days. The window in our dining room particularly captivates me, as it overlooks a street lined with majestic, ancient oak trees.

Our neighborhood is graced with friendly and considerate neighbors who readily extend their kindness and support. While my house is undeniably beautiful, it is the presence of my family that truly infuses it with warmth and charm. I hold a deep affection for my cherished home.

My House Essay 300 Words

A home holds a special place in our hearts, for it’s where we truly live and thrive. It’s a fundamental need for all of us, and we design our homes to suit our unique needs, using materials like wood, cement, iron, mortar, and bricks.

Speaking of my home, I consider myself truly blessed to reside in the serene Adarsh colony of Gorakhpur. Ours is a modest abode, as we belong to a middle-class family. But within these walls, our family thrives, comprising my dear father, caring mother, my three beloved sisters, and our ever-smiling grandmother.

Inside, our home offers us two bedrooms, a spacious veranda, a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, a convenient bathroom, and a charming little garden outside, which also doubles as a garage. My father takes it upon himself to ensure our home gets a fresh coat of paint and regular maintenance every year. Right in front of our house, there’s an empty plot adorned with various trees and plants, enhancing the beauty of our surroundings.

The three of us sisters share one room, painted in our favorite shade of blue, a space we utilize for our studies. We take pride in keeping our room spotlessly clean. My mother, a stickler for cleanliness, extends her touch of orderliness to the entirety of our home, both inside and out.

Though we might be a small family, our home radiates with happiness. It’s a haven that envelops me in a feeling of security and comfort, a place where my fondest childhood memories were crafted. During festivals and special occasions, our home undergoes a magical transformation as we adorn it with decorations, making it even more enchanting.

In Conclusion

My home is my sanctuary, the ultimate place for relaxation and contentment. The very mention of it fills my heart with warmth and affection. It’s a dwelling brimming with positivity and blessings, all thanks to the loving souls that make up my wonderful family, who transform it into a beautiful abode.

My House Essay 500 Words

A home is a special place that provides comfort to all who reside in it. This is because a home is brimming with love and vitality. Just like anyone fortunate, I too have a home and a caring family. In this essay about my home, I will describe its characteristics and share its significance in my life.

A Peaceful Place I Call Home

Nestled within the heart of the city lies my beloved home. It’s not overly spacious, nor is it too petite; rather, it’s just the right size for my family and me. Our household consists of my father, mother, sister, and grandparents. What makes our dwelling particularly special is its vintage character, as it’s been passed down through generations.

Despite its age, our home stands resilient and strong. It boasts six rooms, each with a unique touch that reflects the individuality of its occupant. For instance, my elder sister, a passionate music enthusiast, has adorned her walls with posters featuring her favorite musicians, including BTS and RM.

The centerpiece of our home is the spacious living room, boasting lofty ceilings. Here, we still cherish the vintage sofa set that my grandmother received as a wedding gift. Adjoining it, you’ll find antique relics like an old television and radio, both of which my grandmother continues to use to this day.

My personal sanctuary lies just next door – my bedroom. It’s my most cherished space, housing all the things I hold dear. Notably, my pet guinea pig resides in a cozy cage here. Additionally, our storage room is a repository of items we no longer employ but can’t quite bring ourselves to part with.

Stepping outside, our front lawn boasts a charming garden. It’s here that my mother tends to her kitchen garden, a labor of love where she cultivates various seeds, introducing new varieties each month to enhance our culinary experiences.

Yet, the fondest memories I hold dear are tethered to our terrace. This spacious outdoor haven is adorned with an array of flourishing plants. It’s witnessed countless joyous family moments and serves as a playground when my cousins come to visit. As a result, every nook and cranny of my home carries a special place in my heart.

In the course of life, I’ve come to a profound realization – not everyone enjoys the same kind of home as I do. Some have considerably less, and sadly, some have no home at all. This awareness has deepened my sense of gratitude and appreciation for the place I fondly call home. I understand that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good home and a loving family, and for this, I feel truly blessed. Appreciation Towards My Home The reason I hold my home in such high regard is that, as I journey through life, I know that I will look back on the cherished memories I’ve created here with warmth and nostalgia. The simple act of reminiscing about those moments will be all the more special due to the consistent sense of safety and security that my home has always provided. It genuinely is an ideal place to live.

In conclusion

My home occupies a unique and cherished place in my heart because it instills in me a profound sense of belonging, regardless of the circumstances. It aids me in comprehending my role in the world and my connection to the vast universe. For this reason, I am profoundly thankful to have a place that I can wholeheartedly call my own.

The exterior is adorned with beautiful windows, allowing natural light to permeate every room. The lush garden in front of the house adds to its charm, providing a tranquil ambiance.

As I enter my house, I am greeted by a spacious foyer that leads to different areas of the house. The living room is a cozy and inviting space, furnished with comfortable sofas and adorned with photographs capturing precious family moments. It is where we come together to relax, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company.

The kitchen holds a special place in my house, as it is the hub of activity and a place where culinary magic happens. It is a well-equipped space, where delicious aromas fill the air as my family prepares meals with love and care. The dining area adjacent to the kitchen is where we gather for meals, engaging in lively conversations and strengthening the bonds that tie us together.

My house also has bedrooms that offer comfort and privacy. Each room reflects the unique personality of its occupant, adorned with personal belongings and cherished mementos. It is in these spaces that we find solace, rest, and rejuvenation.

Beyond the confines of the house, our backyard is a haven of serenity. With a well-maintained garden, a patio, and a barbecue area, it is a space where we can bask in the beauty of nature, host gatherings, and create lasting memories. The laughter of children playing, the aroma of grilled delicacies, and the shared joy of togetherness make this space truly special.

My house is not merely a physical structure, but a reflection of the values and traditions that shape my family. It is a place where respect, love, and support flourish. It serves as a sanctuary during times of challenge, providing a safe and nurturing environment. It is within these walls that I have learned important life lessons, received guidance, and developed a deep sense of belonging.

Introduction:

My house is not just a building; it is a sanctuary that encapsulates the essence of family, love, and belonging. In this extended essay, I will take you on a journey through my house, its different spaces, and the emotions they evoke. Each room holds a story, and within these walls, cherished memories have been etched into the fabric of our lives. I will also explore how the concept of home and the importance of a nurturing environment align with the educational context in Pakistan.

  • The Essence of Home: A Haven of Love and Belonging

A home is a place where love and care abound, where family bonds are strengthened, and where a sense of belonging is nurtured. My house serves as the physical embodiment of these qualities. It is within these walls that I find solace, support, and the unwavering love of my family. In the words of Maya Angelou, “The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”

  • Educational Context in Pakistan: Importance of a Nurturing Environment

In Pakistan, the concept of home and a nurturing environment align closely with the educational context. Education is not just limited to the classroom; it encompasses the holistic development of individuals. A nurturing home environment plays a crucial role in providing the foundation for a child’s educational journey. It fosters a sense of security, encourages exploration, and instills values that form the building blocks of character and academic success.

  • Spaces that Inspire: The Power of the Living Room and Kitchen

The living room in my house is a space that inspires connection and togetherness. It is where we come together as a family, sharing stories, laughter, and cherished moments. This space is akin to the classroom, where valuable life lessons are exchanged, perspectives are broadened, and a sense of community is fostered. Similarly, the kitchen is a place of creativity, nourishment, and shared experiences. It mirrors the school canteen, where friendships are forged, cultural diversity is celebrated, and the joy of communal dining is experienced.

  • Bedrooms as Sanctuaries: Personal Growth and Reflection

Bedrooms in my house serve as personal sanctuaries, reflecting the unique identities and aspirations of their occupants. These spaces provide privacy and serve as havens for personal growth, introspection, and study. Similarly, within the educational landscape of Pakistan, personal spaces and quiet corners provide students with opportunities for self-reflection, concentration, and the exploration of their passions.

  • The Backyard: A Confluence of Nature and Learning

The backyard of my house is a sanctuary where the beauty of nature merges with opportunities for learning and play. It mirrors the importance of outdoor spaces within the educational context of Pakistan. The school playgrounds and sports fields become spaces where physical health is nurtured, teamwork is fostered, and the wonders of nature are experienced firsthand.

  Conclusion:

My house is not just a physical structure; it is a haven where love, care, and belonging thrive. It is within these walls that I have experienced the joy of togetherness, the warmth of family, and the strength of unwavering support. The educational context in Pakistan aligns closely with the values instilled within the walls of my house. It emphasizes the importance of a nurturing environment, personal growth, and the integration of nature and learning.

Essay on my house In 300 Words

The most enjoyable years of our lives are spent at the house where we were both born and raised. We all appreciate and enjoy living in our homes. Today, I’ll go into great depth regarding my home. I’ll describe how our home seems and how we live there.

I reside in a tiny Indian village close to Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Due to its natural beauty, my town is among the most beautiful locations here. My father likes to stay among the residents of this town and has never meant to leave.

In the village, we reside in a vast, old house. Since my four uncles and I share a family, because he is the oldest son of his father, my father has complete control over everything. Therefore, we share this house with my aunts and uncles and their children.

Our family is sizable. Our house was constructed over 50 years ago. My grandfather used marble and stone to build it. Among the most beautiful places in the community is this one. There are about 20 rooms in the two-story structure.

I enjoy living here. Before the home is a big garden. The house looks nice since my father tends to paint it every year.

The upkeep of the house requires significant financial outlays. However, I believe this home to be a safe environment for me, and I always feel greatly comforted when I’m there.

Conclusion:

Everyone enjoys living in their house as I do. No matter how your house is set up, everyone adores it. Considering that it is where we were born and where our family resides.

Short essay on my house

The significant gift God has given me in my life is my home, where I was born. Rajasthan’s Nawalgarh city is where I live. Nawalgarh’s Shivaji Colony is where I live. My grandpa built our home. Therefore, it is ancient. In my home, my entire family resides together. In terms of family members, there are my grandpa, grandma, dad, mom, uncle, aunt, myself, and my brother and sister. Everyone in my family adores me a lot. My grandfather and I go for walks together every day in the evening. He brings me to a neighboring garden and tells me tales about his earlier years.

The most attractive structure close by in our community is our home. And I enjoy hearing how much others value our home. Most visitors to our home are grateful for us and adore the style and color of our home. There are six rooms, including a kitchen, a family room, and a small library. My mother prepares our meals in the kitchen at my home every day. A temple is also located in my house, where my grandma often performs acts of worship.

A boundary wall surrounds our home. The visitors have a separate, sizable area set aside in our home where they may sit and remain whenever they visit.

In the front yard of our home, there is a little garden with a variety of flowers and fruit trees. In addition, we have two substantial trees in our garden: a mango tree and a neem tree. We have a swing on the Neem tree, and my brother, sister, and I swing there every day for fun.

5 paragraph Essay on my house

House is more than simply a structure. We reside there as a family in that location. It is the source of all of our enjoyment. We live under the same roof and experience the same pleasures, delights, and disappointments. For everyone, this is the most serene location on earth.

I reside with my parents, siblings, and grandparents at my ancestral house. My grandpa put a lot of effort into building this home. It has a patio, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and four rooms. I’m in awe of how lovely my home is. It is even more delightful because of the retro feelings. The patio at my house has a tiny garden that belonged to my grandparents.

Additionally, it features two trees. Pomegranate and henna trees, respectively, may be found there. They give us shade and delicious fruits.

Because it was built many years ago, my home has exceptionally high ceilings. It has retro switchboards, which provide it with a very distinctive appearance. Four roads intersect in front of my house. No other place is connected to it. There are four entrances on either side of my home.

This blessing has come to us thanks to my parent’s hard work. Unfortunately, in today’s environment, many individuals are always whining about the stuff they lack. A bungalow is what the homeowner desires. Whoever owns a cottage yearns for a castle. The person who resides in a palace wants an island. This vicious circle continues. However, we will be happy if we focus on those who are beneath us as opposed to someone above us.

When my friends visit, they frequently take several photos. Even my family adores the home’s decor, combining modern and historical design. My house is distinctive in our neighborhood because of its brown and beige coloring.

Essay On My House For Class 1, 2 & 3 Kids

Shaili Contractor

Key Points To Remember When Writing An Essay On My House For Lower Primary Classes

5 lines on my house, 10 lines on my house in english, a paragraph on my house for children, short essay on my house in english for kids, long essay on my house for kids, what will your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grader learn from this essay on my house.

Everybody has a strong connection to their house. The house’s structure, size, special features, elements of beautification and even the family members residing in the house make each home unique and special. Essay topics such as describing “My House” are frequently asked in class as part of writing exercises. Essay writing is an important skill that children need to develop from an early age. My House is a relatively easy topic as children can gather lots of thoughts and details about their house creatively. Let us guide your child to write an essay on My House for classes 1, 2 and 3 in a few single lines, a short paragraph, and a long paragraph.

Here are some tips for writing an essay on My House:

  • An essay on My House can involve different details about the house, such as its size, location, type, and architectural style.
  • When describing the house, you can talk about how the different features make you feel.
  • Make the features more appealing by giving the readers a feel of them.
  • Long essays should have introductory and concluding lines.
  • Talk about what you feel about your house, your favourite features, and why you think your house is the best.

Five-line essay for class 1 is the best way for your child to learn how to write. Here is an example of a five-line essay:

  • My house is my most favourite place in the world.
  • I live with my mother and father in my house.
  • My house has three floors and lots of stairs.
  • We have a garden outside our house with beautiful flowers.
  • I love staying in my house.

A longer essay for classes 1 & 2 sets the foundation for writing skills in children by gathering more ideas and including more details. Check out this example of a 10-line essay on My House:

  • My house is a beautiful three-storied building situated in the suburbs of the city.
  • It is located in a green and peaceful neighbourhood.
  • We have gardens in the front and back of the house.
  • When you step inside the house, you will enter a spacious living room.
  • Our house has five rooms. My sister and I each have a separate room.
  • My room has a balcony that faces the neighbouring park.
  • I spend time on my balcony every evening and enjoy watching the sunset with my grandpa.
  • We have a kitchen in the house that connects to the garden in the back.
  • We grow all types of herbs and vegetables in the kitchen garden.
  • My house is the best one in the whole world.

Short paragraph essays are a good place to learn how to write longer essays. Here is an example of a short essay on My House:

Every person needs a house to stay in. I live in a cozy house in the middle of the city with my parents and younger brother. Our house is just one street away from the playground where I go to play cricket. Our house has two bedrooms, one living room, and one kitchen. My brother and I share the same room in the house. Since my house is close to the main road, we find it easy to go from our house to any part of the city. We have a terrace in the house where my brother and I often play. I love my house because it is a great place to live.

Here is an example of a short essay on my house. These essays are the building blocks to learning how to write long essays:

My beautiful house is on the outskirts of the city. We have built our house on a big plot with lots of garden space and greenery to enjoy. My house has three bedrooms and a living room, along with a kitchen and a dining room. All of this is surrounded by a high compound wall on which we grow decorative creepers.

Our house is spacious and also well-lit since we have huge windows in all the living spaces. When we sit for our breakfast every day, we enjoy a wonderful view of the backyard with the lawn and flowers. Different materials such as bricks, cement, tiles, marbles, and wood were used to build the house.

My house is the best place in the world, and my friends love to come here and play with me. We have plenty of space to play all the games and don’t have to go out on the street.

A long descriptive essay about my house can be tricky to write because children need to write creatively after gathering several ideas. However, children can write a good essay by going about it systematically and maintaining the flow. Here is an example of an essay for class 3:

I live in a gorgeous house inside a colony in a small town next to the city. Our house was constructed recently, and we moved in a few months ago. It is a two-storied building with four rooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, terrace, and a basement. We have plenty of space within the compound to build a garden. We have planted many different types of flowering plants and vegetables in our garden.

My room is on the first floor with a big balcony that has a panoramic view. It also enables me to set up my telescope and observe the night sky comfortably. We have a big kitchen with a door that opens to the garden in the back. My parents take their tea on the lawn every evening in the kitchen garden.

My favourite part of my house is our terrace. It is a vast open space on the roof of our house which is nicely decorated for spending leisure time. There is a large swing on the terrace, on which I love to spend my evenings reading my favourite books. Sometimes I also call my friends over, and we play catch on the terrace. At night, the open terrace is breathtaking to look at. I can see all the stars and the moon as well when the skies are clear. I like to lie down and count the stars during such clear nights.

Our house is located in a very friendly and nice locality. There is a small market near my house from where my father brings fruits and vegetables every morning. We also have very good neighbours. They are kind and generous people who are ready to help at any time. I love my new house and all its beautiful features. I enjoy spending time in my house more than anywhere else.

From these examples of compositions on My House, children can gather plenty of ideas on how to write an essay on their own. This essay is also a great opportunity for your children to express their thoughts and feelings about their home. It also helps them observe their house in better detail than ever before, as they write their observations in words.

Our house has a special place in our hearts. It is the place where we feel safe and secure. From the examples above, children can pick up ideas and craft their own compositions on the topic.

Essay on My House for Students in English – Simple Words

January 3, 2021 by Sandeep

Essay on My House: My beautiful house is a paradise for my entire family. We have three bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dining hall and a prayer hall. Our house is beautifully planned with the latest marble flooring and exquisite decorative walls. The architecture of the house looks serene and splendid with eco-friendly patterns. We have allowed provisions for rainwater harvesting and groundwater collection to aid water conservation.

Essay on My House 200 Words in English

Below we have provided My House Essay in English, suitable for class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

People live in many different kinds of houses. As for me, I usually live in an apartment on the top floor of a building in the middle of the city. As I live in the heart of my city, it is often bustling with crowds of busy people trying to get to work, get back home, or spend some time with their friends and family. Since I live on the top floor, I am lucky enough not to be disturbed by street sounds like honking, traffic, and roaring motorcycles.

My apartment has three bedrooms – one for me and my brother, another for guests, and a third for my parents. It also has a single kitchen, a living room, multiple bathrooms, a balcony, and a long hallway connecting all these rooms. As someone who has shifted houses multiple times in several years, it can be difficult to develop a strong attachment to a house. Nevertheless, my favourite aspects of the apartment would definitely be the large windows in my room.

Two of the four walls of my room mainly consist of windows, which allows plenty of sunlight to enter and gives me a gorgeous view of the sunset in the evening. I also love the balcony in my home- it’s attached to the kitchen and is filled with many different kinds of plants, some of which even have beautiful flowers. The balcony is also an excellent viewing spot to stand and stare at the sun dip below a sea of tall buildings.

They won that many – and then some. The party has netted 211 more seats than the last election, with the total nowat 412.

The Conservatives have lost 250 seats so far. This leaves them with 121, so will remain relevant as Labour’s main opposition.

It’s been a night of extremes. The Scottish National Party (SNP) have lost 38 seats, with just eight clinging to their seats for now, while the Lib Dems have seen massive gains – 63 to be exact – so have 71.

We will also keep you updated as to how each of the political parties are performing.

Labour has achieved massive landslide

Labour are already on 412 seats, just six fewer than Tony Blair won in 1997 and have already been declared the winner of this general election.

This stops short of a ‘supermajority’ that many opinion polls predicted and Rishi Sunak feared would happen.

Starmer thanked those who went out of their way to voting booths to vote for Labour.

The deputy leader of the Labour Party Angela Rayner believes her party are experienced a landslide because of people’s frustration about the Tory party.

She said: ‘Keir has done a tremendous job in transforming the Labour Party and putting forward a programme for government that the country can get behind and after 14 years of the chaos and the scandals and the decline we have seen under Tories I think they are getting punished for that – that’s pretty clear in the polls as well.’

Share of popular vote

Under the first-past-the-post system, the person with the most votes becomes the MP. The rest get nothing.

So as much as a party may be popular, if their supporters are spread out evenly across the country, this popularity won’t be converted into seats.

Unsurprisingly, Labour is very much topping the popular vote.

What is surprising, however, is that Reform UK is trailing high and have beaten the Tories in many constituencies.

Meanwhile, the Lib Dems and Greens are doing well on 12% and 7% respectively, but this does not equate to seat numbers won.

Swing of popular vote

The popular vote for the Tories has swung back by a thumping 20% – that’s way down in comparison to the 2019 General Election.

The rest of the parties in our swingometer have only gone down or up by a percentage or two. The Greens, however, have surged by 4%,

Reform UK are not included in this graph because the party existed as the Brexit Party in the 2019 General Election.

Change in share of vote

The change in vote share is also quite remarkable for the two main parties – an increase for Labour and a dramatic decrease for the Tories.

Smaller parties like the Greens seem to have slightly increased their share of the vote, but stay tuned for the full results as they come in tonight.

Tories face biggest electoral defeat in history

Labour’s landslide win in two numbers? It’s ended 14 years of Tory rule and is the former governing party’s worst election result in 200 years.

When the party was led by Boris Johnson in the 2019 General Election it won 365 seats, but the exit poll suggested the party will only win 131 seats. (They’re on 121 at the moment and can only achieve a maximum of 123.)

While Chancellor Jeremy Hunt managed to cling on to his seat others who have lost their seats include the commons leader Penny Mordaunt, defence secretary Grant Shapps, and justice secretary Alex Chalk.

While Rishi Sunak announced he will resign as party leader this morning , his Richmond and Northallerton seat remained safe.
