The field has expanded to include many business and clinical roles, as well as those rooted in research and science. “I think the general perception is that biomedical science is mainly a wet-lab discipline,” he says. “But there really is a diversity of opportunities in this field.”

A “dry-lab,” on the other hand, is a location where scientists draw conclusions about realities that occur naturally in the world by replicating them using computers or mathematics.

5- Clinical Research Scientist

Clinical research scientists  perform clinical trials, recruit, and screen patients, and submit patient results at the trial’s close. Biomedical science graduates are often eligible to apply for clinical research science roles given they have substantial experience in running trials, and managing samples and data. Genetic counsellors use their specialist knowledge to interpret and explain genetic and genomic information to patients and their families. Genetic counsellors often require a Master's in genetic counselling to practice or can enter the NHS training scheme  for the role. Scientist Salary in Biotech

I'm hoping to collect some data points around what salary range to expect in biotech/pharma. I have a PhD in a biomedical science and about 4 years post PhD experience all of which was in industry. I make about $125k as a scientist at a small pharma company in a coastal hub, but the cost of living is so high here that I am starting to wonder if the salary and job prospects are really worth sticking around. Is my current salary in line with my experience? Am I overpaid, underpaid?
