All we do in the entire day is to attend the classes and to do the homework. But once school life gets over, the students realise that school life was the best time of their life.

Apart from learning great things in school, you make new friends, play different sports and create memories for the rest of your life. The students also learn many life skills like teamwork, good manners, etc., and understand what they want to become in their life.

About My School and School Life

I study in the reputed private school in my city, and I am glad to be a student of this school. My school is one of the most renowned schools in my town. It is very beautiful and huge. My school has all the facilities for sports, study and other activities. Built-in a three-storey building, it is a Co-Ed and Senior Secondary School having Science, Arts and Commerce stream. The atmosphere at my school is delightful. We have a huge playing ground where we all students play different games like Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, etc. We have a separate Basketball and Tennis court, as well as a small and beautiful garden for kids.

The students practice these sports every day. The school also has a big swimming pool and sports area for indoor games. In this area, the students can play Table Tennis and Chess. There is also a big skating rink. Different physical training teachers train us for all these sports. These sports not only keep us fit but also increase our stamina and coordination.

School life is not just limited to studies and sports. There are also other activity rooms such as the music room, art room, and dance room. The Art room is a big hall with lots of colourful charts and various types of paints. The students can portray their imagination and can create beautiful art here. Dance and music are also very important in school life as they help the students express themselves in a new manner. The different movements in dance help the students in unwinding themselves.

My school has a big library where we all read different kinds of books, novels and comics. Apart from the library, my school has well-equipped scientific labs where we all practise various experiments of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I have learned a lot of things in these labs. My school also has a big computer lab with trained technical staff that help us to learn everything about computers. I love playing on the computer and learning new things in the computer lab. In the computer lab, the students learn about using MS Word and PowerPoint. The computer lab is also called the ICT lab. The ICT teacher teaches the students about the internet and how to use it safely.

All the staff at my school are very polite, educated and experienced. Our teachers not only teach us but also prepare us for various competitions, and every year, my school wins many prizes in various competitions. I have even represented my school in a hockey championship and scored the second position.

The classrooms are big and decorated beautifully with different artwork done by the students. Various projects and models are kept in the classroom for the students to keep on revising their concepts. The teachers use smartboards, and every day a new word is taught to enhance the students’ vocabulary. Every day one student presents the ‘Thought for the Day’. These positive thoughts keep us motivated.

All the teachers at my school are very dedicated and punctual. They always teach us discipline and ask us to come to school on time. Our teachers love us, and they teach us in a very simple and easy way. Whenever we fail to understand anything, they try to make us understand it again without shouting at us. They give equal attention to all the students, and that is why my school has an excellent academic record. 

The teachers are well qualified. They use different techniques to teach us the concepts. The atmosphere in the school is fun-filled and fruitful at the same time. The school’s entire staff, from the security guard to the teachers, is very helpful and polite.

We learn many life skills also in school. Discipline, hard work, and punctuality are some of them. During sports classes, we learn teamwork and work together to win.

The best part of my school is its auditorium where all the school events and competitions take place. Our school auditorium is one of the best auditoriums in the town with a great sound and light facility. It is fully air-conditioned with lots of seats. Every year, my school organises an annual cultural festival which lasts for two days. Many cultural events take place within these two days like singing, dancing, debate competition, etc. I love to participate in a poem writing competition every year, and many times I have won prizes as well. Every year, the toppers of our school get awarded on this annual cultural day and we all students love to participate in various events of the annual cultural day.

We also have school assemblies in our Auditorium. Sometimes the students from other schools come and participate in the different competitions organised in our schools. These events are called inter-school competitions. These events are very good as we get to learn new things from other students and make many new friends.

Apart from the annual cultural day, my school is famous for organising one of the biggest annual sports meets. I love this annual sports meet because sports are my favourite. In this annual sports meet, various sports competitions are organised, and almost 50 schools participate in these competitions and win multiple titles. Me, my friends, and our seniors also participate in these competitions and make our school proud by winning in them. My school has great teachers, excellent faculty and all the facilities that one student needs to excel in his/her life.

The biggest reason behind the success and fame of my school is our Principal Sir. He is 50 years old, yet very active and disciplined. He has an attractive personality, and his knowledge is commendable. He loves all the students and always spare some time from his busy schedule to monitor the progress of all the students. I admire his personality and principles. He always encourages us to take part in various extracurricular activities, and it is the result of his support & dedication that the students of my school always perform better in all the competitions. We all are fortunate to have him as our Principal.

Principal sir awards the students who participate and win in different cultural and sports events. He has a good memory and remembers the name of every child. The students feel proud when Principal sir calls them by their names.

After each term, assessments are also being conducted in the school. The teachers prepare us for these assessments, and the results are also shared with the parents. The assessment is a good system as students understand the learning gaps and can work on them. The teachers are very helpful as they assist the students wherever it is required.

I love my school and my school life. Every day I learn new things here and enjoy it with my friends. All my teachers love me and always support me. I have learned discipline and punctuality from my teachers, and it will help me a lot in my future. I am proud to be a student at this school, and I will always miss my school after leaving it. My best day in my School

A student’s life is not a bed of roses. It means regular duties and hard work. A student has his own worries and moments of joy. He feels happy when he stands first in the examination. He is worried when he fails. The winning of a prize is an occasion of great joy. The 24th of August was the happiest day of my life. I shall always remember it.

I received a number of prizes on that day. On this day, the Annual Prize Distribution function was held in our school. I was the most prominent figure on that day. I had stood first in the annual examination. I had won several first prizes in the sports. My principal declared me the best boy in the school. My teachers and classmates congratulated me. I felt a thrill of joy. The Director of Education Mr. Verma, presided over the function. The function was held in the spacious school hall. It lasted for about three hours. The hall and the school compound were beautifully decorated. When the Director of education arrived, the N.C.C. boys presented him with the guard of honour.

He was taken to the dias by our principal. The guardians of the students were also invited to the function. They sat on the seat on either side of the dias. After some time, a batch of small boys sang a welcome song. The Principal then read out the annual report of the school. He said that the results of the school at the public examination were very good. Then the prizes were distributed. The names of the prize winners were announced. They came on dias and received their prizes. As they received their prizes, there were clapping. Their faces showed happiness. As I walked to the dias to receive the prizes, all the visitors and students clapped their hands. I got a medal and a set of books. A photographer took a photograph of me when I was receiving the prizes. It was the most prized day of my life.

The memories of my school days are very sweet. I often remember the sweet memories of my school days. In our class, there were sixty students . We all loved one another. Our class lessons were very interesting. All of our teachers were experienced. They took special care of the weak students. We never put off our homework. There was a good academic atmosphere in our school. We attended our classes regularly. As a result, we were never afraid of examinations. Tutorial examinations were held every month half-yearly, 2nd terminal and Annual Examinations were held in our school. There were good facilities for games and sports in our school. We played football, cricket, and volleyball in our school. There were also facilities for indoor games. All the students of the class were very cooperative and friendly. We often arranged debates and went on picnics . The teachers were very helpful to us. They helped us both inside and outside the classroom . The headmaster was really an experienced teacher . The teachers were our guide , guardians, and friends . The happy memories of my school days still fill my heart with joy.

Those who are my best friends today, I got from my school. And those teachers of my childhood are still my fatherly guardians. This is how my school life has helped me and enriched me.

I think if I didn’t have the golden memories and valuable experiences of my school life, I would have missed a lot in my life. I did not get my wonderful friends, my experiences, and happy memories. Those days of excitement helped me to appreciate the value of time and to find meaning in life.

My school life has taught me how to be disciplined , responsible, hardworking, and realistic. That’s how my school life made me, so today I’m happy with my career. I believe that what school life teaches a person really affects the rest of his life.

One of the brightest memories of my school was the day I won the prize in the annual inter-school science competition. It was an event of great joy for me and my parents and a moment of great pride for my school. The principal of our school gave me a medal that day.

In my school life, I used to note down all my events in a personal diary. Now when I get a little leisure, I open the diary. In this notebook, I am delighted to discover the memories and experiences of my school life. It fills me with confidence and courage.

I remember how happy my parents were when I got first place in the whole school. They embraced me with joy and love.

It is said that a person always remembers his first day and last day in school. I remember that too. I cried the first day I went to school, the same way I cried the last day of my school life, because of the sadness of leaving. That’s how school days are the most memorable days of my life.

Introduction: Childhood is the sweetest period of human life. I often remember the days of my childhood. When I remember my childhood days, I feel happy.

My Childhood Memories:   I was the youngest son of my parents. So, all the members of our family loved me very dearly. They bought me nice toys. My grandmother was very fond of me. She told me many interesting stories.

My Days in the Village: I was born in a village . The Padma flows by it. I swam in the river with other boys.

The whole village was my playground. I wandered in the village and played with my friends. The days of summer were the happiest days to us. We plucked mangoes and blackberries from tree to tree and ate them to our heat’s content. I had a great fascination for picking green mangoes during storm.

Education at Home: My learning was not dull. My uncle taught all the children of our family in the morning and at night.

The Village Maqtab: The village Maqtab was another interesting place for me. An old Maulavi used to teach us there.

School Days: The days of my school were very sweet. In school, we were afraid of our teachers.

The Village Hat: Another interesting memory was the village hat. The hat used to sit twice a week. I used to go to the market with my father. I used to buy sweets from the vendors.

Conclusion: How happy I was in my childhood days! The happy memories of those days still fill my heart with great joy. I wish I could have gone to those days again!

Introduction: Childhood days are very special to every person. A human child is born in a very helpless and weak form. Parents raise the child with utmost care and unconditional love. So, that period is a happy period for most people. However, childhood can be full of sorrow and nightmares for some orphans and helpless people. My childhood days were full of happy events. There were some sorrows too. But the happy memories invariably overshadow the sorry recollections. When I think of my childhood days I have a feeling of joy. My childhood days passed at Agrabad in Chittagong town. There we lived in a one-storied building.

Siblings, Parents, and Grandparents: I was the third child of my parents. My two elder sisters played with me and loved me very much. They shared every delicious food item with me. In the mornings and afternoons, I walked and played in the garden and on the roof of our house with my sisters. I asked them every type of question and they replied to my questions with their imaginations and little knowledge. I annoyed my sisters very much and wanted to follow them everywhere. My parents and sisters told me different types of stories. Those stories developed my imagination to full bloom. We had a radio and a cassette player in our house. I listened to different melodious songs on the radio and cassette player with my family. My grandparents also lived with us. I liked to pass time with them and listen to their experiences. Sometimes I made mistakes and when my parents were about to punish me, my grandparents always saved me. My grandparents died when I was seven years old. It was a matter of great shock to us. I still miss them.

Friends and Playmates: I had a few friends. They were our neighbors. At that time television was very costly and very few families had it. There was a color television in one of my friends’ houses. Sometimes I went to his house to watch TV. The programs on TV fascinated me. The number of my friends increased when I got admitted to the school.

The School: I was admitted to school at the age of five. The school was a very short distance from our house. I clearly remember my first day at school. I got up early in the morning, put on a white shirt and blue pants, and went to school with my father. In school, I met my teachers and classmates. My classmates were friendly and nice to me. My teachers also loved me very much.

Market and Park: Sometimes my parents took me to the market. At the market, they bought me dresses, chocolates, toys, balls, and other necessary items. They also took me to parks. We had a merry-go-round and other kinds of rides in the parks.

The Fairs: I also went to fairs with my parents. There is a big fair held annually in Chittagong. It is called ‘Jabbarer Bali Khela’. Many attractive toys and household items are found at that fair. My parents took me to that fair and bought me toys and sweetmeats. We also went to other fairs held on the occasion of Bengali New Year’s Day, Victory Day, Language Day, etc. We also went to different book fairs where my parents bought me books suitable for children.

Conclusion: A happy feeling engulfs me when I think of my childhood days. Then I lost myself in reverie and feel a strong nostalgia and longing for those days. That period has essentially made me the man I am now.

My first day at school is a very happy memory and I will always love to revisit it. It was a different experience altogether. From the comfort zone of my home, I was suddenly put into a completely new atmosphere – My Preschool. It looked so crowded and noisy. I still remember, on my first day, I was crying and so the memories of the morning are very blurry.

My parents comforted me and gave me my favourite chocolate ice-cream. I entered the classroom, and it immediately cheered my mood up. The classroom was very colourful, filled with small benches and a lot of toys and swings.

The teacher came after a few minutes. She was very friendly. After an hour, we all grouped together, and played several fun games and did many activities together. It was a very amazing day.

My first day at school was an unforgettable memory for me and gave me a gift I cherish to this date. It was a cozy and comfortable evening in April when I was informed with the news that I have been admitted to Mount Libra Zee School.

I didn’t know how to react. I have seen my sister going to school daily, sometimes she was happy about it, but sometimes she was very reluctant to go and made silly excuses to avoid school. My parents had also brought a very cute school uniform. I liked it and was excited to wear it. But I still had no idea about how the first day of school was going to be.

How My First Day At School Started

The next morning, I dressed up very early in excitement. I ate my breakfast and Mummy packed a small tiffin box for me. At 8 o'clock, I went to the school in my father’s red car.

When I Reached My School

The school building was huge. It was painted with cartoons. I got happy when I saw my favourite cartoon characters, Tom & Jerry painted on the walls too. My father left me at the school gate to a peon after instructing him about my class. The peon picked me up very gently and started walking through the endless corridors. I could see the huge playground in the middle of the school building. It had all kinds of swings in it. For a moment, I wanted to run away to my favourite Merry-Go-Round, but I dropped that temptation and was dropped in front of my class by the peon.

My Classroom

The class had 15 chairs, all painted with cartoon characters. The wall had ABCs and numbers painted on it. It was a very cheerful and colourful environment. My eyes immediately glanced through the students already sitting there. They all were lost in their world. Some were sobering, while some were making drawings with crayons.

After a few minutes, our teacher came. She asked each of us our names and hobbies, and then she introduced herself to us. Then, she asked everyone to name the animals and birds painted on a picture board. We all begin singing the names. It was very fun. She was impressed with us and gave us candies at the end of the lesson.

After 2 hours, a bell rang for lunch. I took out my tiffin and started feasting on my sandwiches. A boy came to me, and said that sandwiches are his favourite. I knew his name by now, Ansh. I quickly offered him one and he was very happy. We soon became friends and chatted endlessly about Spider-Man, Iron Man and Tom and Jerry.

After learning that his favourite cartoon was also Tom and Jerry , I instantly knew I got my first school friend. 14 years forward, Ansh is still my best friend, and I am always thankful to him for making my first day at school a very fond memory.

My tenth birthday is the most memorable day of my life. It is a day I can never forget and I consider it to be the best birthday yet. The day started just like any other normal day. However, as it kept progressing, a lot of exciting things began to happen.

I woke up very early on my birthday because I had to dress up in casual clothes for school . The day before, all my candies were ready that I would distribute in the classroom.

My mother prepared my favourite breakfast and gave me a big chocolate bar for lunch as well. I went to school and the whole class sang for me and congratulated me. It was the turn to distribute sweets.

My best friend and I went to all the teachers to distribute toffees and we had a great time there. Moreover, it was an incredible feeling. My friends were all singing for me and eager to come to my birthday party later in the evening.

Laura Jarrett reveals what it was like to read Trump’s historic verdict on live TV

NBC News senior legal correspondent Laura Jarrett thrives under pressure. So Jarrett was ready to go the afternoon of May 30, when a New York jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie and Nightly News’ Lester Holt were delivering a special report, when suddenly Jarrett’s voice could heard in the background. It was urgent.

“Guys! We need to go,” Jarrett said. “We need to go.”

“Go,” Savannah said. 

The cameras then turned to Jarrett, who read off each count, one by one. Trump became the first former United States president to be convicted of felony crimes.

It’s moments like this that inspired Jarrett to leave her career practicing law to become a legal analyst on TV. 

“I’ve always loved putting the puzzle pieces together and figuring out how to tell a complicated story in the most straightforward and compelling way as possible,” Jarrett previously told TODAY.com . 

Here, Jarrett recounts what was going through her mind at that historic moment. 

“IN THIS MOMENT , my thoughts were this: Be calm. Play it straight. You know this case. Those of us who cover high profile legal cases are used to pressure.

But 5:00 p.m. on Thursday — when former President Donald Trump became the first U.S. president to be convicted of felony crimes — was next level. I went to law school, I clerked for judges, I practiced law, and I gave it all up — for this. This was the moment that sealed that I made the right choice.

I thought carefully about my dress, and more importantly — sneakers! I knew it could be a long day, but the bathroom situation when waiting outside of court is always tricky. Turns out when you are reading ‘guilty’ on live television 34 times with millions watching, you forget you sort of needed to pee.  

As I looked at the first ‘G’ for count of the jury’s verdict on our Google spreadsheet entered by our intrepid correspondent in the courtroom, Tom Winter, I felt eerily relaxed. But then you realize, you have 33 more to go! So I just kept going. We had a plan. And I love a plan. So I kept at it.

I haven’t seen my two young children in days. But on Friday morning, for the first time in weeks, I will walk my son to school. His very last day of pre-school. Because he has his mama back.”

How Did You Grow and Change This School Year?

In this forum, we invite both students and teachers to reflect on their challenges and successes — and to consider how to build on them for next year.

The 2023-24 academic year is coming to a close, and we have a post describing 10 ways to reflect on these last months and learn from them. But the 10 ways aren’t just for students — we also hope teachers can benefit from them. In fact, we would be delighted if teachers and students did some of the exercises together and told us what happened!

I Invited My Students to Be the Principal for a Day. Here’s What I Learned

There is tired and then there’s “educator tired.”

More meetings, more conflicts to mediate, more data to collect and analysis overload, and more staffing decisions—the to-do list is exhausting. By springtime, most of us are operating on empty tanks while battling a seasonal-affective slump carried over from the winter.

With some degree of consistency, we can predict the times of the year when staff morale is highest, as well as the months when you can expect teachers to be crawling toward the finish line of upcoming school breaks. I heard a person once say, “If we can predict it, then we can influence it.”

In this biweekly column , principals and other authorities on school leadership—including researchers, education professors, district administrators, and assistant principals—offer timely and timeless advice for their peers.

Like many principals, I’m an optimistic person by nature. But in mid-February, I felt myself struggling to change my heartache of stress into heartfelt joy.

When I analyzed why I was feeling this way, it became clear that I wasn’t living my “why” for working in public education. I was drowning in meetings that discussed adult issues instead of being focused on student learning and the experience of being a student at my school.

After consulting with a colleague, I decided to change how I was spending my time at work. That small change had a huge impact on my ability to refocus and feel fulfilled.

Several years ago, I participated in a principal challenge for which I shadowed a student for a day. It was an amazing experience that allowed me to better understand my school from a student’s perspective.

As I reflected on how to reenergize several months ago, I decided to try this activity once again at my new school—but with a twist. I wanted to help bridge the divide between students and adults. This time, I offered my students the opportunity to be principal for the day by following me as I made my rounds with classroom visits and staff member meetings.

My request of the students who joined me was simple: 1) Get parent permission, 2) be responsible for the work you missed in class, 3) communicate with your teachers that you would be with me for the day, and 4) write up a one-page summary of the events of the day and your reflections.

To my surprise, I was flooded with student requests. Just the idea of having a shared experience with the students we serve was uplifting. I marveled at the idea that students would want to know what my job entailed. It was a great way to connect and build kinship between students and the leaders that serve them.

What I imagined would be one day with one student shadowing me evolved into three days of multiple students per day participating in this activity.

Here are some of the lessons from the students who joined me:

• Students and staff have a right to speak up, even if they are the only dissenting voice.
• Keep an open mind when people bring concerns to you. The importance of growing from mistakes was highlighted.
• Treat everyone with respect, no matter their position.
• Communication should be two ways, not a monologue.
• Make time to help others.

They enjoyed seeing the authentic and positive relationships that occur between administration and students and staff, but I was just as happy to learn from the students. They shared that they were surprised to see how well staff got along with each other behind the scenes, as well as with students in the hallways and classrooms. Our first shadow-the-principal day was March 14 (aka Pi Day in the math world), so the students had a chance to eat pie while talking with teachers in the math workroom.

My “apprentices” also enjoyed hearing a student share his idea for completing his Eagle Scout project that provided diabetic kits for students in need. He and I brainstormed various ways to complete the project, as well as how to market and sustain it in the years to come. The students later commented that they were surprised to observe an administrator working alongside their peers, generating ideas together.

Besides circulating throughout the school and speaking with a number of students and staff, the apprentices and I discussed ways that artificial intelligence could be used to facilitate teaching and learning in a positive way. I always find it enlightening to hear students’ technology ideas, including for AI use—for example, to assist with study tips or to organize their notes—were as innovative as I had heard from any presenters.

Finally, we ended the day by taking a stroll around the track at our football stadium. I shared that I like to go outside as much as I can to exercise and gather my thoughts. I try to do that once per week as part of my self-care routine. The students shared that they were pleasantly surprised to hear me prioritize that type of activity and that they thought their peers would benefit from such an activity as well.

I’m proud of my students for taking a chance on being a leader for the day. Students in 2024 have so many pressures facing them, so accepting one more thing can be a daunting task.

Here’s a challenge for everyone reading this article: Make time to prioritize your own “why.” This is especially important as we enter the final marking period of the year, when emotions tend to run high and stamina tends to wane.

Another Canadian Jewish school has been targeted by gunfire, this time in Montreal.

The Jewish Community Council of Montreal said Wednesday that the Belz school at the Young Israel of Montreal synagogue was attacked with gunshots overnight. There were no reported injuries.

It follows a shooting early Saturday when two men opened fire on a Jewish girls school in suburban Toronto, part of an outburst of antisemitic violence in Canada to draw condemnation from political and Jewish leaders.

“We have had enough. Yet another Jewish school was shot at in the middle of the night – in Canada,” Yair Szlak, the president and CEO of Federation CJA, and Eta Yudin, the Quebec vice-president  for the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), said in a joint statement Wednesday.

“Thankfully no one was inside the building, but this violent hatred must no longer be tolerated. Decisive action must be taken by Mayor Plante and leadership at the municipal level to finally put an end to the atmosphere of permissiveness towards antisemitism that is now rampant in our city.

Both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre condemned the antisemitic violence late Wednesday.

“Disgusted that another Jewish school has been the target of a shooting. Relieved that no one was hurt, but I’m thinking of the parents and community members in Montreal who must be incredibly shaken. This is antisemitism, plain and simple — and we will not let it win,” said Trudeau.

“The second shooting at a Jewish school in a week. We are witnessing a terrifying escalation of antisemitism in this country. The Trudeau government must step up and finally do something to protect Jewish people in Canada against this violence,” said Poilievre.

The Liberal MP for Outremont, Rachel Bendayan, noted it was the third shooting at a Jewish school in Outremont.

“Four shots fired at a Jewish school on Hillsdale early Tuesday.  I spoke with the school admin and community leaders, as well as the Federal Public Safety Minister. Police are investigating,” she said.

“This must stop. This is not who we are.”

Szlak and Yudin said Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante has called the city a “peaceful town,” but the shootings are not indicative of a Montreal anyone wants to live in.

“We call on all citizens of good faith to raise their voices against the relentless hatred, intimidation, and fear-mongering on our streets and campuses over a conflict that is taking place thousands of miles away; it must be stopped. Order must be returned to the streets of Montreal,” they said.

The Montreal shooting follows antisemitic violence and bullying and across Canada since Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel.

There were no reported injuries in Saturday’s shooting at Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School in suburban Toronto.

Kehillat Shaarei Torah Synagogue, also in North York, has been vandalized twice since April. A nearby Jewish-owned grocery store, International Delicatessen Foods, was set ablaze and vandalized in January.

Multiple Jewish students have complained of antisemitic bullying in Toronto and elsewhere. Hundreds of people turned out for a “community support march” after an Israeli-Canadian mother said two of her children have experienced repeated bullying and antisemitic threats at a North York school.

Last Wednesday, Abdirazak Mahdi Ahmed, 20, was arrested after several shootings at Montreal Jewish schools in November.

If mom’s not happy, nobody is happy. 

An Atlanta helicopter mom proved that adage was true on Tuesday as she erupted in expletives at an elementary school awards ceremony after her son was snubbed in spite of his scholastic achievements. 

“His report card says different,” spat the outraged mama bear as the school principal attempted to tame her outburst. “Pull that s—t up!”

Footage of the eye-popping exploit caught viral wildfire , gathering over 6 million TikTok views. 

“You’re gonna single these mother f- -king kids out,” barked the unnamed woman, whose son is said to be in first grade.

Stunned parents and children were seen sitting silently in the auditorium, watching on in horror. 

“Let’s go!” the mom yelled to her little one as they stormed out of the ceremony.

Shocked social media spectators sympathized with the woman’s son, leaving comments such as: “I can’t imagine how humiliating that must of been for that child,” and “He probably felt embarrassed.”

And unfortunately, moms and dad who parent with extreme intensity, strict rules and short fuses tend to impose a great deal of psychological damage onto their tots. 

Research from Ohio State University published earlier this month found that harsh parenting practices lead to a higher risk of mental, behaviors and emotional health issues in children. 

“We have high expectations for ourselves as parents; we have high expectations for what our kids should be doing,” said lead study author Kate Gawlik.

“Then on the flipside, you’re comparing yourself to other people, other families, and there’s a lot of judgment that goes on.”

“And whether it’s intended or not,” she added, “it’s still there.”

Amy Chua, a self-crowned “tiger mom” who demanded perfection from her daughters as kids, shared those sentiments. 

The author recently revealed her remorse for openly “losing” her cool when the girls, now both young adults, fell short of her incredibly high standards. 

“I still believe achieving excellence can bring a lot of benefits, and I’m glad I instilled a sense of grit in my kids,” said the reformed helicopter parent. 

“But the things I regret more are the harsh things I said to them and losing my temper.”
