COURSEWORK PROGRAMME

  • A Bachelor degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate;
  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent but with CGPA less than 2.50, may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications approved by the Senate For international students, a minimum IELTS Score of 5.0 or its equivalent ( e.g TOEFL-525; TOEFL Computer Test -196; TOEFL Internet Test 69-70 or MUET Band 3) is required.

RESEARCH PROGRAMME

  • A Bachelor degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate; or
  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent with at least CGPA of 2.50 and did not achieve CGPA of 2.75, may be admitted depends on rigorous internal evaluation, or
  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent but with CGPA less than 2.50, may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field.

The programme shall produce graduates who are:

  • able to obtain advanced Information Technology knowledge, skills and aptitude to meet the industry needs;
  • being equipped with advanced Information Technology theoretical principles and scientific methods to create effective solutions to problems; and
  • able to demonstrate professionalism, as well as social and ethical considerations of their computing solutions in the global context.

PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES (PLO)

Upon graduating from this program, the students are able to:

  • assess an in-depth understanding of knowledge, mastery of skills and research methods related to the field of Information Technology;
  • demonstrate IT competency in solving research problems and case studies;
  • demonstrate social skills and responsibilities related to Information Communication Technology;
  • evaluate and make decision as an individual and as a member of a team in a manner consistent with ethical and professional standards;
  • communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to others including peers, both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • enhance capacity building through leadership with significant degree of personal responsibility and autonomy under broad direction on well-defined and non-routine work activities performed in a variety of contexts;
  • devise IT solutions to support industry requirements and needs;
  • critically evaluate, analyse and synthesise a complex issue or theory from the Information Technology discipline by showing intellectual independence, personal judgement and the ability to apply self-learning strategies;
  • integrate a wide range of resources with various digital applications to address issues in research and practice related to Information Technology and management;
