Using imagery in your presentation is a sure-fire way to boost its visual appeal, increase recall and overall build a more persuasive presentation. Whether it’s a sales pitch or internal presentation, you simply can’t go wrong with using icons in your presentation. In fact, it might even help your presentation 6 Persuasive Presentation Techniques From The Science Of Influenceincrease it’s persuasiveness.

In the day-to-day work for the clients we work with, we use icons extensively as well. Even a simple technique like switching a normal bullet point for a relevant icon helps to not only improve the way our presentations look but offer viewers a visual reference as to what the bullet point is talking about.

In our presentation skills courses , we recommend using a variety of visual tools to accomplish this. These include photographs and stock imagery, as well as iconography and diagrams. Each tool can be used in different situations for varying objectives depending on what creative presentation ideas you have in mind.

We wrote an article recently about some of the best places to find free high-quality stock images for your presentations , so we decided to do one for icons to enhance your next presentation as well.

flaticon presentation icon

1. Flaticon

Flaticon is an excellent free icon and visual image repository that allows you to download icons in PNG format (transparent background) in a specific HEX color of your choice! Before we had enough clients to get access to a library of professional icons, we used this extensively to churn out high-quality icons that were consistent with our client brands.

If you’re looking to invest in some specialised icons, they also offer a premium pack that you can purchase for more specialised icons.

free icon freepik

Freepik is another popular repository for images and iconography. You can find PSD files, photos and vector files for your next presentation project. They add hundreds of new graphic elements every day and boast about 400,000 different visual assets available for download on their platform.

free icon iconfinder

3. Icon finder

Iconfinder is home to more than 100,000 icons organized into neat little icon packs/sets. The only possible trouble you might encounter is that the styles of the icons vary greatly from completely flat graphics to skeuomorphic and some that look a lot like clip-art. You’ll be able to find some gems here for your presentation design if you look deep enough!

noun project presentation icons

4. Noun Project

This is one of our favorite resources that we use all the time. The Noun Project was created to help the world (and very likely, designers) communicate through visual language. They have a really strong community of committed contributors that produce really amazing vector icons in various styles. The really cool thing about this site is that they have a native Mac application (which requires a paid plan) that lets you drag-and-drop icons directly from their app onto your software of choice! (i.e. Adobe Illustrator or PowerPoint) Similar to Flaticon, you’ll be able to pick the colors of the icons too!

iconmonstr presentation icons

5. Iconmonstr

This site is all about simplicity – telltale from the black and white color scheme. There are basically two ways you can use the simply drawn icons from here. Click the first tab and get access to close to 4,000 different icons that are neatly organized in more than 200 collections. Otherwise, download the ‘icon font’ where you’ll be able to insert icons using your QWERTY keyboard when you type in software like PowerPoint and such.

icons8 presentation icons

This repository has almost 60,000 flat icons all accessible within a FREE native application that works on both Mac and Windows. They offer a professional license for you to use all the icons for commercial projects at $19.90 a month.

material presentation icons

7. Material

The Material repository of icons is ‘officially’ meant more for UI/UX designs in iOS or Android projects. This doesn’t mean you can’t use those icons for your own presentations though! With more than 900 commonly-used icons at your disposal, add this one to your presentation icon arsenal.

8. Endless Icons

This free icon library has all of its icons conveniently tagged. It’s not the largest library, but you might be able to find some that you can use for your presentation to communicate complex messages.

creative tail presentation icons

15. Creative tail

A  design repository gem that not only offers icons, but also backgrounds and free stock images that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else. They have paid products that are more complex to execute such as cut-out images and the like. If you have the budget to spring for some, do consider purchasing the paid items.Otherwise, their free goods are pretty good too.

Pixeden presentation icons

16. Pixeden

Pixeden is one of the longest-standing design marketplaces in existence. Similar to Creativetail, they have both paid and free products such as mockups and the like. They also have pretty comprehensive icon sets in the repository as well. Their latest product release: Orion Icon Library has 4,500 icons in 4 styles – Line, Solid, Color and Flat with an app similar to The Noun Project so you can always have access to icons of almost every style for your presentation design projects.

Don’t be fooled by the name though, the interesting thing about this platform is that they only accept 15% of the icons contributed. You’ll only find top quality icons for your presentation here. Tips for Using Icons, Logos, and Symbols in PowerPoint

Tips for Using Icons in PowerPoint

While adding icons, logos, and symbols to your PowerPoint presentations can be a game-changer, it’s essential to use them effectively and judiciously. Here are some necessary tips to maximize the impact of these graphic elements:

  • Maintain Visual Consistency: Choose icons and symbols that align with your presentation’s theme and style. Consistency in using these elements creates a cohesive and professional look throughout your slides. If your presentation has a specific color scheme or design aesthetic, ensure your icons match it.
  • Keep It Simple: Make sure your slides have enough icons or symbols. It’s crucial to use them appropriately to maintain clarity and prevent overcrowding with too many icons and logos.  Use icons to highlight key points or to break up text, making your presentation more visually appealing and more accessible to follow.
  • Size and Placement: Pay attention to the size and placement of icons. Icons should be big enough to be seen clearly but not so big that they take over your slide. Proper order is essential, as heroes can serve as visual alerts. They should guide the viewer’s eye and help them navigate the content.
  • Use Color Wisely: Icons and symbols can be used in color or grayscale. Select colors that complement your presentation’s color scheme and help convey the right message. Avoid using colors that clash with your overall design. The goal is to enhance your slides, not to distract from the content.
  • Test for Clarity: Before finalizing your presentation, preview it and ensure that icons and symbols are easily recognizable and don’t create confusion. If any icon needs to clearly convey its intended message or purpose, consider changing it or seek feedback from colleagues or peers.

In conclusion, PowerPoint icons, logos, and symbols are powerful tools for enhancing your presentations. They assist in conveying complex ideas, organizing content, and supporting branding. With lots of free resources, you can easily find and integrate these elements into your slides.

Use them wisely to keep your presentation neat and understandable and engage your audience effectively. Boost your presentations and make a long-lasting impact with the power of visual communication via icons, logos, and symbols.

Icons, logos, and symbols are great for making your PowerPoint presentations better, So go ahead and explore the resources. 🚀

Microsoft Copilot Studio: Building copilots with agent capabilities

  • By Omar Aftab

Copilot Studio homepage user interface

  • Copilot category
  • Announcements

At Microsoft Build 2024 , we’re excited to announce a host of new powerful capabilities in   Microsoft Copilot Studio —t he single conversational AI tool you can use to create your very own custom copilots or extend Microsoft C opilot experiences with your own enterprise data and scenarios. The first of these are c opilots that can now act as independent agents— ones that can be triggered by events— not just conversation— and can automa te and orchestrate complex, long-running business processes with more autonomy and less human intervention.

For instance, consider the potential of a copilot that can react when an email arrives, look up the sender’s details, see their previous communications, and use generative AI to trigger the appropriate chain of actions in their response. From understanding the intent of the email, to look ing up the sender’s details and account , see ing their previous communications, checking inventory,   responding to the sender asking for their preferences, and then taking the appropriate actions to close a ticket — orchestrating and shepherding an entire process over days.

With such capabilities, copilots are evolving from those that work with you to those that work for you. They can be designed to handle specific roles or functions, such as IT, marketing, sales, customer success, and finance across various industries, including travel, retail, and financial services.

With these new capabilities, here are some examples of the kinds of copilots our customers can build

  • IT help desk .  IT support is complex, involving tickets, order numbers, approvals, and stock levels . O pening and closing a ticket can be a long-running task that spans days. A copilot can now handle this process, interfacing with IT service management applications, resolving IT tickets with context and memory, creating purchase orders for device refresh, and reaching out and getting managers approvals — all independently .
  • Employee onboarding . Onboarding new employees is often expensive and slow. Now, imagine you’re a new hire. A copilot greets you, reasons over HR data, and answers your questions. It introduces you to your buddy, provides training and deadlines, assists with forms, and sets up your first week of meetings. Throughout all of this, the copilot is in touch, guiding you through the weeks -long onboarding and account set up processes.
  • Personal concierge for sales and service . Balancing exceptional customer experience while meeting ambitious revenue goals can be challenging. When a copilot serves guests, i t can use the memory of previous conversations with guests to remember their preferences, make reservations, handle complaints, and answer questions related to the products and services on offer. The copilot learns from its interactions and proposes new ways of handling customer scenarios. By doing so, copilots can increase upsell and attachment rates, driving revenue for the resort while simultaneously enhancing guest experience, satisfaction rates, and repeat business.

Let’s dig deeper into a few of the underlying capabilities that make all this possible:

  • Asynchronous orchestration of complex tasks . The first is the ability to use generative AI- powered   planning and reasoning to manage complex, multi step, long-running tasks. For example, reacting to a new order means determining the need to verify inventory, trigger ing the right payment processes, pinging a supervisor for approval if the amount is above a certain threshold, and replying with a confirmation. Many of these events can take hours—or even days— to complete, but the copilot will run through them , maintaining the necessary state and context to do so.
  • Memory and context . One of the frustrating things about support has traditionally been having to repeat information: who you are, what your policy number is, what your address is. There is no continuity of conversation. Copilots will now learn from previous conversations from the users and utilize this knowledge to continually personalize interactions . A copilot may not need to ask you for your laptop model or your address when you call again for the same issue. Conversations will thus become long-running, contextual, and deeply personalized.
  • Monitor, learn, and improve . Copilots can now learn and adapt, offering monitoring and teaching capabilities to make their interactions better. Each copilot records a comprehensive history of its activities, providing transparency into its performance, including user interactions, actions taken, and feedback received, and you can see what decisions it made — and correct and teach them — with just a few clicks.

placeholder

  • Delegation with confidence and guardrails . When developing copilots with agent capabilities, establishing clear boundaries is paramount. Copilots operate strictly within the confines of the maker-defined instructions, knowledge, and actions. The data sources linked to the copilot adhere to stringent security measures and controls, managed through the unified admin center of Copilot Studio. This includes data loss prevention, robust authentication protocols, and more.

The se advanced new capabilities in Copilot Studio are currently accessible to customers participating in an Early Access Preview where organizations such as Centro de la Familia are excited to explore agent capabilities that support teachers and case workers, allowing them to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time working with children, ultimately leading to better child outcomes . Based on feedback from program participants, we will continue to iterate and refine these capabilities for broader access in a preview planned for later this year .

Additional innovations with Copilot Studio

There’s a lot more to share at Microsoft Build with Copilot Studio, and we’ll touch on just a few of our new capabilities here. To learn more — just sign up and try it out for yourself here .

Screenshot of the homepage of Microsoft Copilot Studio

Here are a few examples of how Copilot connectors can transform copilot experiences for specific personas or functions:

  • Legal and Compliance . Navigate complex legal landscapes with a Copilot extension that queries specific legal datasets, ensuring controlled and compliant responses without overwhelming users with extraneous information.
  • HR Helper . Assist employees with accessing essential resources for benefits and PTO policies, and even book time off directly through Copilot.
  • Incident Report Coordinator . Workers can locate the right documentation, report incidents, and track them efficiently, all within the context of the chat.

Starting in June 2024, developers can access the public preview for Copilot connectors and stay informed on updates here .

Conversational analytics (private preview) : One of the most common asks from customers has been the need for deeper insight into what their copilot is doing, how generative AI is responding, when it was unable to give the right answers and why — and recommendations on what to do to improve it.

Screenshot of the conversational analytics experience in Microsoft Copilot Studio

Enhanced security and controls (public preview ) : Administrators can now configure advanced settings beyond the default security measures and controls. With Microsoft Purview , Copilot Studio administrators gain access to more detailed governance tools, including audit logs, inventory capabilities, and sensitivity labels. They will be able to review comprehensive audit logs that cover tenant-wide usage, inventory (with API support), and tenant hygiene (such as data loss prevention violations and inactive copilots), enabling them to effectively monitor business impact. Both creators and end-users will be able to view sensitivity labels when responses are generated using AI-powered answers based on SharePoint documents.

With all the amazing innovations, numerous organizations are using Copilot Studio to build transformative generative AI-powered solutions. Check out this story from Nsure on how they are using Copilot Studio:

Best of Paris Fashion Week Men's Spring/Summer 2025

From Dries Van Noten's final bow to ASAP Rocky's runway debut, here are the top shows from Paris Fashion Week Men's Spring/Summer 2025.

Three models on a runway: one wearing oversized layers, one in a long, textured coat, and one in a dark jacket with loose pants and glasses

Paris Fashion Week Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 has left us with a lot to think about.

Pharrell’s latest presentation as the creative director of Louis Vuitton Men's obviously got people talking. We’ve discussed it plenty already . Even unsuspecting brands like Vans had a stellar presence throughout the week. But those were far from the only highlights.

Dries van Noten held his final presentation at the helm of his namesake label to close the book on his legendary 38-year career. On the opposite side of the spectrum, ASAP Rocky made his runway debut with an impressive showing dubbed “American Sabotage.” Shows from smaller designers like Hed Mayner, Bianca Saunders, and 424 also piqued our interest.

These are the presentations we are still thinking about.

Three models on a runway: one wearing oversized layers, one in a long, textured coat, and one in a dark jacket with loose pants and glasses

ASAP Rocky’s off-the-calendar show was undoubtedly one of the biggest moments of the week. Scanning the room was enough proof of that. Rihanna, the Clipse, Chitose Abe, Jonathan Anderson, and Alexandre Arnault were among the power players in attendance. According to Rocky, the show was long overdue. “How many years was I advocating for everybody else’s brands, puttin’ on new brands, and showing people how to do new trends,” Rocky told Complex prior to the show. “Now, I wanted to express myself. I gave everybody my ghetto expression.”

He’s right. For the past decade, Rocky has been a trendsetter introducing names like Rick Owens and Raf Simons to the masses. For this show, titled American Sabotage, Rocky clearly pulled some influence from these designers that he has championed throughout his career. Simons’ “Riot Riot Riot” show from 2001 comes to mind when looking at a camo bomber jacket featuring tacked on photographs. Repurposing NYPD sweaters or DEA caps feels like something you may see on the runway at Vetements. But rather than copy and pasting these reference points and adding an AWGE logo here or album title there, Rocky (with the help of young designers Bede Marchand, Joshua Jamal, and Coucou Bebehe) was able to recontextualize them to fit his own message. The show was meant to be a commentary on the turbulent political and socioeconomic climate of the United States. Sometimes it was obvious, an image of Uncle Sam flipping the bird accompanied by “F$CK YOU” plastered on the back of a jacket or “Political Satire” literally printed on a sweater. Other times, Rocky referenced the individuals he would see on the streets of New York City like a homeless person collecting bottles in trash bags to help paint the picture of modern America.

The runway was also a vehicle to preview upcoming footwear from his ongoing partnership with Puma, pre-weathered pairs of the Inhale OG. And don’t think this means that Rocky forgot about the music. He used the show as a platform to premiere three new tracks and officially announced that his long-awaited album Don’t Be Dumb is dropping on Aug. 30. Rocky isn’t choosing one medium over another. Instead, he is building a world where all of his creativity can live cohesively. It will be interesting to see how regularly Rocky presents these types of shows moving forward. Hopefully, it wasn’t just a one off. —Mike DeStefano

Dries Van Noten

icon de presentation

How do you end an almost 40 year career via a fashion show? For the team at Dries van Noten, it was about being reflective but also celebratory. Guests walked into an airy warehouse space and were greeted with a large column of four screens that played back a collage of key moments and runway shows in Dries van Noten’s career. Looking at it, you easily see his contribution to fashion but particularly menswear. Van Noten, the Belgian designer who was part of the Antwerp 6—a collective of designers from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts that also included Ann Demeulemeester, Marina Yee, Dirk Bikkembergs, Dirk van Saene, and Walter van Beirendonck—started with menswear. He came from a family of tailors and his father owned clothing stores. You can see a reverence for tailoring in his menswear, but also a desire to integrate it with traditionally feminine flourishes, which wasn’t always common. For his last show, he leaned into some of his signatures and left us with, per usual, some new ideas.

The show opened with model Alain Gossuin—who also opened his show in 1991—completely covered up wearing a long black coat over a baggy trouser and furry sandals. Almost like a flower that hadn’t started to bloom. But the proceeding looks were open and vibrant. Van Noten played with diaphanous fabrics, as he has in the past, showing sheer pants and shirts layered over regular garments. He also played with shine, presenting shirts and jackets made with a coated textile. Tailored pieces felt relaxed and embellished with gold beading. He elevated sportier silhouettes like anoraks and parkas with more intricate embellishments. He brought in even more texture with trench coats that resembled cellophane, coats and shorts made of a brushed, furry fabric. Prints, a staple for Van Noten, showed up as large florals in faded colors. Everything had a bit more dimension thanks to the silver runway covered in strops of aluminum. The show closed and a large disco ball appeared at the top of the runway, inviting everyone to drink and party. The collection was an ode to his career and a testament to his timeless vision and singular perspective. —Aria Hughes

For her latest season, Chitose Abe was inspired by Hollywood icon James Dean. It was seen in the set design, which was inspired by a photograph Dennis Stock took of Dean in front of his childhood home. Dean’s youthful spirit and urge for discovery is also the lens through which she reinterpreted traditional menswear staples for sacai Spring/Summer 2025. His signature leather jacket, white T-shirt, and blue jeans look was brought into modern times. Now, the leather was layered with a graphic T-shirt and paired with a pair of baggy trousers. Dean’s face stamped on a white tee peaked out from behind a boxy take on the red leather Harrington jacket he wore in Rebel Without a Cause . The classic white T-shirt was crafted in heavier fabric that sculpted perfectly around the body. A colorful print of vintage cars and flowers accentuated knit zip-ups and short sleeve button-ups.

We also saw sacai debut a handful of new collaborations. A Nike sneaker dubbed the Zegamadome, a low-top trail shoe that fuses elements of the Lava High, Son of Lava Dome, and Zegama, was featured in three colorways complete with sacai’s signature layered Swooshes and co-branding on the tongue. Levi’s trucker jacket got their sleeves chopped off and were bonded to jeans to create sculpted one-piece suits for women. Other jeans featured baggy silhouettes and thick cuffs. Bomber jackets were meant to look like they were flipped inside-out, and given denim collars and Levi’s signature gold stitching. Abe even worked with WTAPS on a series of military-inspired items. A lot of people like to say that everything has been done already. After 25 years, Abe proves that there is still plenty of room to take even the most classic items to places we have never seen before.  —Mike DeStefano

Grace Wales Bonner’s approach to creating a collection doesn’t change from season to season. She’s interested in connecting directly with artisans from across the world, platforming Black artists, and documenting their contributions through her clothes. This process isn’t atypical for fashion, but Bonner does it with precision and intention, making sure that all the stories, references, and craft meld together to create a beautiful, completely new tableau. For Spring/Summer 2025, a Trinidadian artist and textile designer named Althea McNish was central to the collection, which was titled “Midnight Palms.” McNish moved from Trinidad to London in 1950 and was known for her tropical prints that she contributed to brands like Liberty and Dior. Bonner utilized those prints on cotton blazers, tap shorts, and a matching skirt and collared shirt. Tailoring is always a touchstone for Bonner, and this season she continued her relationship with Saville Row’s Anderson and Shepard, who brought shimmer to the assortment with overcoats made of satin, and evening suits made of silk and mohair. Bonner is so good at mixing more casual but refined items into her collection, and this season she looked to nautical references like net shirts worn under polos, anoraks and matching shorts, and Adidas track sets. She re-upped her popular sneaker partnership with Adidas showing a chocolate brown sequined Samba, a suede Superstar Hi-Top, and a new suede, Country Low silhouette. She’s also producing more footwear in-house including embellished mary janes and desert boots made of cowhide. We continue to appreciate Bonner’s dedication to documenting Black history and making incredibly thoughtful clothes. —Aria Hughes

In January, Rick Owens orchestrated an intimate presentation at the home he started his namesake label in 25 years ago. For his Spring/Summer 2025, he went in a completely different direction. Owens noted that the decision was partially because he “felt bad about making attendance so restricted. ” Aptly titled “Hollywood,” everyone was invited this time. Soundtracked by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 Allegretto and staged in front of the Palais de Tokyo art museum, Owens presented a spectacle that felt like we were watching a scene from the next Dune move unfold. Rather than come out one by one, models in all shapes and sizes marched in militant formations of 20. There were 10 looks in total, all white. Some included thin face masks paired with capes and knee-high leather boots that resembled deflated balloons. Cropped biker jackets with a crusty paint coating were worn over silk jumpsuits. Knit wrap shirts were paired with marshmallow-colored Geobaskets and shorts. Other looks were accentuated by gold headpieces. The highlight came when a group of burly men in knit shirts carried a pyramid-like metal structure. Two women contorted themselves around it as a third stood at the top waving a flag featuring Black and white hands linked together. It was a visual unlike anything we had ever seen and the perfect cap to a show with a powerful message about inclusivity. Expect this Rick Owens presentation to be talked about for years to come. —Mike DeStefano

Guilermo Andrade, the designer behind 424, is no rookie. He’s been designing his brand since 2014 and putting on other brands via his multi-brand retail concept on Fairfax in Los Angeles. Andrade is no longer running that shop—he has a new 424 store on Melrose that sells his brand—but it feels like the time he’s put in as a buyer and a designer is paying off, as evidenced by his Spring/Summer 2025 collection. He held a presentation in a courtyard where models sat in wooden chairs formed in a circle before they started to throw them to the ground and break them.

Andrade’s collections are always rooted in military-inspired staples or classic workwear silhouettes, but he pushes them forward with textile selection and special details (the collection is all made in Italy). He presented a reversible camouflage jacket with a madras print, a denim jacket with pintuck details and a stuffed collar, hoodies, shorts, and blazers made of bendable aluminum but covered in a soft brushed fabric, and a leather bomber jacket with a streaking detail (the same technique he used to make the Real Madrid David Beckham jacket). Footwear continues to be a strong point for 424, and this season he showed his signature boots that look as if they are perfectly draped in fabric, as well as derbys with a matching slip on cover. Andrade continues to push design techniques forward and present fresh interpretations of classic clothes .—Aria Hughes

For his latest Loewe show, Jonathan Anderson focused on singularity and the ability to make everyday objects feel extraordinary. The works of 20th century artists that Anderson admires—Peter Hujar, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Carlo Scarpa and Paul Thek—were strewn about a white stage. Models popped out from the center of it to start their walks.

The looks incorporated classic silhouettes in various imaginative ways. A black leather jacket was turned sideways to resemble a cropped smock. Brown ostrich leather belts were so long that they wrapped the waist twice. The excess strap dangled below the knee. Trench coats were given structure so that the bottom stayed flipped open. The v neck of a shirt was so deep that it sunk below the waistline of a pair of pants. And the pants, they were the star of the show. Some looks were devoid of tops to put the focus squarely on them. Styles ran the gamut from skinny black trousers to ultra baggy knit genie pants. A series of bottoms that gathered material at the waist with an off center leather logo patch were a crowd favorite. Every model’s face was obscured by pheasant feathers that hung from headbands to alter the viewer’s perspective. Anderson once again showed his propensity to turn the ordinary into something unorthodox. —Mike DeStefano

Israeli designer Hed Mayner is known for presenting new shapes and proportions, but this season he focused on textiles, finishes, and tension. He lent pieces that are typically stiff or sometimes staid new life. For example, a cable knit sweater with slash details draped against the body and revealed some skin; cargo shorts featured a zipper that revealed the thigh; and vests took on a more relaxed shape, slightly falling off the shoulders. Cotton shirts were completely reinvisioned, with diagonal button plackets and a waist detail that creates a peplum-esque shape. He offset this with coated fabrics that updated classic silhouettes like a leather T-shirt, or chocolate brown trousers. Suits were voluminous made of crinkled fabrics that gave them more texture and shape. He brought these same techniques to footwear, showing a Reebook Classic Leather made of the foam that’s usually reserved for the inside of the sneaker. Because of his dedication to reimagining clothes and construction, Hed Mayner remains a highlight at Paris Fashion Week Men's. —Aria Hughes

Kim Jones’ latest collection for Dior Homme was all about wearability. Once again, the veteran designer brought a modern approach to classic tailoring. Blazers were paired with shorts and crafted in shiny green fabric. Slouchy pinstriped suits worn with T-shirts underneath felt more casual. There were also takes on workwear like a tan vest or chore coat that were elevated when paired with a classic pair of trousers. A fanny pack was made luxurious by using brown crocodile leather. Pants with pleats that wrapped the leg creating an illusion of a layered skirt and a coat with asymmetrical buttons were among some of the standouts across the 47-look presentation.

Most looks were accessorized by safari hats that featured colorful gems hanging from the brim designed by Stephen Jones and hand-crocheted by South African artisans. The work of South African artist Hylton Nel was tastefully sprinkled throughout the collection. Illustrations of birds and dogs appeared on knit sweaters, while other items like coats and boots were covered in animals and flowers drawn out in silver studs. Some models carried ceramic sculptures. Smaller ceramic badges were placed on lapels of blazers or used to fasten knit vests. The various applications of Nel’s work modernized these pieces without overpowering them.

Jones’ tenure at Dior has been rife with splashy collaborations. A Stone Island capsule announced earlier this year is a prime example. Sometimes they overshadow the other great work that Jones does at the house. Collections like this prove that those moments are not all that Jones’ Dior era should be defined by.   —Mike DeStefano

How to unlock new experiences on your Copilot+ PC

  • Nicci Trovinger

Copilot+ PCs are our fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever and are generally available beginning today, June 18. Today, we’re excited to share more information about our new advanced AI experiences that enable you to do things you can’t on any other PC, helping you be more productive, creative and communicate more effectively. These experiences are only available on new Copilot+ PCs.

Everyone has an imagination and the ability to be an artist. Now, with Cocreator you can enter a text prompt and start drawing on the Paint canvas, and Cocreator will generate beautiful artwork based on your input as you draw. Powerful AI cocreates alongside you, helping you bring your ideas to life. As you edit, it responds, evolving in near real time. Adjust the creativity slider to get more or less assistance from AI to modify your image. Or even apply one of the available style filters like Watercolor or Oil Painting to style your image. Without token limits or additional subscription fees, you can create without limits.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Launch: Search for and open the Paint application in the Taskbar, Start Menu or app list. If you do not see it, you can download it from the Microsoft Store. When the application opens, click on the Cocreator icon on the top right side of the in-app toolbar to open the experience. If you do not see the Cocreator icon, the Paint application may need an update. To get the update, select “Get updates” in Microsoft Store > Library.
  • Sign in: You’ll be prompted to login with your Microsoft account. This helps ensure that images follow our responsible AI (RAI) and security guidelines .
  • Start by entering a text prompt in the box that asks you to describe what you’d like to create. Need some ideas? Try, “a mountainous valley of wildflowers,” “a city skyline at sunset,” or even, “a sea turtle over a coral reef” to make beautiful pictures. [1]
  • Start drawing on the canvas with your mouse, pen or touch [2] to begin making your art and watch as the image adjusts to your input in near real time.
  • You can use any tools or colors you want. For best results, use the colors you desire in the output, broader brush strokes and fill up the canvas as much as you can.
  • Adjust the Creativity level by moving the slider. Lower creativity means less AI input and the output will be closer to your sketch. Higher creativity means more AI input and the output will be more imaginative and diverse.
  • Or select a Style option from the drop-down menu. You can choose art styles like watercolor and oil painting to customize the artwork you create.
  • When you are satisfied with your artwork, simply click the generated image in the side pane to apply it to the Paint canvas. You could add additional detail to your text prompt, like adding a butterfly to your landscape or a starfish to your underwater scene to continue evolving your image.
  • Be sure to save your favorite images to use where you need them by selecting File > Save or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S.
  • For more information on Cocreator in Paint , visit the Microsoft Support page.

AI meets your images

Restyle image.

  • Sign in: You’ll be prompted to login with your Microsoft account. This helps ensure that images follow our responsible AI (RAI) and security guidelines.
  • Select and open an image you want to edit and above the image, select Restyle Image to surface the tools.
  • Describe a style you would like to apply using your words in the text prompt box and click Send. [2] Try, “An abstract expressionist art style, characterized by spontaneous gestural brushwork.”
  • Or, you can select from a preset style, including Fantasy, Anime, Surrealism, Impressionism, Cyberpunk, Renaissance, Watercolor, Papercraft or Pixel art.
  • You can choose to apply the effects to either the foreground, the background or the entire image.
  • Continue editing until the image is just right. There are no token limits so you can adjust and explore without limits..
  • When you are ready to save, select Save options at the top to come back to your photo any time you need.
  • For more information on Windows Photos Restyle Image and Image Creator , visit the Microsoft Support page.

Image Creator

Looking for visual inspiration or want to explore a variety of ways to express the same image concept? Image Creator in Photos generates endless images for free, fast, with the ability to fine-tune images to your liking. You can also save your favorite images or collections to come back to whenever you need them.

  • Launch: Open the Photos app by searching for “Photos” in Start or selecting it from your applications list. Don’t see it? Search for “Microsoft Photos” in the Microsoft Store.
  • Select Image Creator from the menu of options on the left side.
  • Select one of the preset options like Dessert ideas or Sci-fi book covers to apply the text prompt.
  • Or, you can describe the image that you would like to create. You can be as specific as you like. Need some ideas? Try, “living room, mid-century, neutral colors,” or “floral tablescapes for a wedding, soft pastel, neutral background, in a romantic style.” [2]
  • Watch as 20 different images generate to give you a range of options or inspiration.
  • Need more ideas? Keep scrolling and more will generate. Use the creativity slider to generate new variations, apply filters or modify your prompt by adding additional words to continue evolving your responses.
  • See an image or series of images you like? Select the image, right click and save or hover over the image and click on the save icon so you can use it or come back to it whenever you need.

Live Captions

In an increasingly connected and global world, Windows wants to bring people closer together. Live Captions now has live translations and can turn any audio that passes through your PC, including video calls and streaming content, into a consistent, English-language caption experience. Translations occur in real time and display consistently across applications, even when you’re offline. Currently it is available to translate from 44 languages into English subtitles. [3]

  • Launch: Click on Quick Settings from your taskbar and scroll to select and turn on Live Captions. Or, open Settings > Accessibility > Captions > Toggle on Live Captions. You will be asked to select yes to agree to allow Microsoft to process your voice data on your device and to download the Live Captions language files when necessary.
  • Listening to your favorite podcast, watching your favorite films or viewing global sporting events spoken in non-English languages to instantly follow along with English captions.
  • Have a call with family, friends or teammates around the globe. After turning on Live Captions, invite them to speak in different languages and see their words instantly translated into English captions.
  • Move the captions box to a new place on your screen by clicking and dragging to a new location or by selecting the Settings icon and selecting a fixed location above screen, below screen or overlaid on screen.
  • Make the captions box bigger by resizing the box to see more words.
  • For more information on Live Captions , visit the Microsoft Support page.

Windows Studio Effects

Windows Studio Effects just got better with more effects to help you look and sound your best whether it be on a video conference call or recording video or audio content for your creative pursuits.

  • Launch: Windows Studio Effects are easily accessible by selecting Quick Settings from your Taskbar and then choosing which effects you would like applied in the Quick Settings dropdown. You can see a preview of the effect by checking the box and can even select multiple effects to use simultaneously.
  • Selecting portrait light which automatically adjusts the image to improve your perceived illumination in a dark environment or brighten the foreground pixels when in a low-light environment. If you are in a room with natural lighting that gets brighter or darker throughout the day, watch as your lighting adjusts with you.
  • Applying creative filters (illustrated, animated or watercolor) create artistic flair, for a fun way to apply a stylized look to your video image.
  • Need to read a reference document while making a presentation on a video call? Try eye contact: teleprompter which helps you maintain eye contact with your audience while you read on your screen.
  • Portrait blur has new enhancements, helping to keep the focus on you and not your background.
  • In a noisy space and want to be heard more clearly? Select voice focus, now with new enhancements, to keep your voice, not the background noise, in focus.
  • For more information on Windows Studio Effects , visit the Microsoft Support page.

Recall instantly

We aimed to solve one of the most common frustrations with using your PC – finding something you know you have seen on your PC but not remembering how to get back to it. Recall is a preview experience that will be available in the coming weeks in the Windows Insider Program (WIP). Coming soon with Recall (in preview), you can find that content and then re-engage with it [4] . Windows will save snapshots of your active screen periodically, as frequently as every 3-5 seconds. With Recall you can then easily find your snapshots and re-open a document, get to the right webpage, or highlight and copy images or text using screenray to use across other applications. [5]   And, you’re always in control of your privacy with built-in controls that help you pause, delete or prevent web sites and apps from being saved in in your snapshots. Recall requires opt in to begin saving your snapshots; you can change your selection at any time, and Microsoft does not have access to your snapshots.

Here’s how to get started.

  • Opt-in: For Recall to save your snapshots, you need to opt in to the experience. You can do this by clicking “save snapshots” in the out of box experience during device set up. You can also navigate to the Settings application > Privacy & security > Recall & snapshots > turn snapshots toggle on if you do not opt in during device set up. You can change this selection at any time.
  • Come back: We recommend trying out some of the other new experiences or spending a little time using your PC first before exploring Recall. That way you have snapshots available to search for, discover and interact with.
  • Launch: Open Recall either by clicking on the Recall icon on the center of your taskbar or by searching for Recall in the Start menu. You’ll be asked to authenticate using Windows Hello to launch the experience and proof of presence is also required to view your timeline and search in Recall.
  • Start by trying to find something you know you’ve seen before. Type the clues you remember in the search box using descriptive words. Or use voice to search by clicking the microphone icon in the search box. You can search using words, visual descriptors, colors, dates or even names and it will return both text and visual matches for the words you described. For example, if you created a picture of a landscape in Cocreator, just describe what you drew or a color that stands out from your picture. Try finding a document by searching for something you remember about it or something in the document that you remember seeing instead of what the file was called.
  • You can scroll back across your timeline by dragging your cursor across the timeline and finding a snapshot to return to.
  • Select a snapshot and see screenray in action, illuminating content in the snapshot you can act on as you hover. It analyzes the content to give you selectable images and text. Right click to copy the objects or open in another relevant application to quickly get to work.
  • Use the reopen action below the snapshot to get back to your original content (website, document, application) and pick up where you left off.

Adjust your privacy & security

  • When Recall is running on your PC, you will see a Recall icon on the System Tray alerting you when snapshot recording is in process.
  • When you want to pause or change your snapshot privacy settings, you can easily do so by clicking on the Recall icon in the System Tray. You can simply click to pause snapshots until the next day or to open Settings > Privacy & security > Recall & snapshots where you have additional controls.
  • Turn off save for snapshots, change your storage configuration, delete your snapshots or set specific application or website filters with easy-to-use controls in Settings.
  • Turn on InPrivate browsing within Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers to prevent browser content from saving in your snapshots from within the browser’s Settings.
  • We have added additional layers of data protection including “just in time” decryption, protected by Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) so Recall snapshots will only be decrypted and accessible when you authenticate. In addition, we encrypted the search index database.
  • Microsoft provides many built-in security features from the chip to the cloud to protect Recall content. All Copilot+ PCs are Secured-core PCs, come with the Microsoft Pluton security processor enabled by default, and include Windows Hello ESS.
  • For additional information on Recall Privacy see our support pages on Privacy , on how to use and how to manage for your organization .

We hope you enjoy these experiences and encourage you to tell us about your experience providing comments or suggestions via the Feedback Hub app. These experiences begin to be available on June 18 on Copilot+ PCs. Visit your local Microsoft Store or Microsoft.com to experience the update and learn more.
