Though a very tense and terse movie, it makes you see. Cinematography of a different genre. Keeps you engaged throughout. One does not feel like a movie, rather it is like being in the middle of those happenings. Scares you awefully although no violence is shown directly but it's suggestions are enough to scare you. Yes that particular sentence by the doctor in one scene, is what the mentality of our society is. There was no need though for the bus driver character to be named as "Bashir" - it could have been Balwant, Basappa as well. Why that sub-texting? No need.

Youth Marathi Movie Review
The M Town has two movies releasing this Friday, which certainly include the much awaited film called Youth. The movie Youth with a couple of delays has finally released today. It is youth centric film as the film’s title suggest, which is produced by Sunder Seturaman under the banner of Victory Films, while directed by Rakesh Kudalkar. The film has an interesting cast having both the youth and few veterans including Akshay Waghmare, Neha Mahajan, Akshay Mhatre, Meera Joshi, Shashank Jadhav, Ketaki Kulkarni, Satish Pulekar and Vikram Gokhale in the lead and supporting roles. The story comes from Vishal Chawan and Yugg, while the music is carried out by Vishal Jagdish and the photography is carried out by Chetan Shinde. Now, time to dig in deep into the film to catch the gist of the film as under:
The film deals basically with the issues of youth. You can find it to be distributed roughly in three halves. The act one introduces with the main characters, while six of them. Of all the characters, Yuvraj played by Waghmare and Yutika played by Mahajan being marginally well developed and their way of thinking and so one, while others are simply the fillers as the script demands from a group. You can find Yuvraj to be the father of the politician played by Vikram Gokhale and though these are mutual cordial and there is barely any real love in it. The first act has three young actors playing in the film the role of college students. They are seen in all the light activities right from singing songs, to playing and having fun to playing some amateur street play competitions. These are good kids with decent background and a feeling with social responsibility.
The second act in the film is about the kids who are seen going for a picnic and on their way they come across a drought struck village and they are shell shocked to see the state of affair. They do not understand political corruption and hence they feel that the government will pour in with help immediately. Yuvraj is seen taking up the promise of doing things as help fails to come to the village and resolve things seeking the help of local villager. Next what happens is interesting to catch up in the film?
Youth Review
The films with message at the center needs to be carefully crafted about the climax as it can perplex the audience and the message conveyed would be difficult to understand. Hence when you have a film like Youth, which deals up with issues like farmer pleas, drought economics and corruption, it ends up with a negative mark suggesting that nothing would change. Regardless to the fact that whether you try or not, you are bound to falter.
Talking about the performances, Neha Mahajan in this film appears to be a fitting one, while Akshay Waghmare who happens to be the grandson of Marathi legend Dada Kondke, he seems to be the wrong choice for the character given in this film. Others in the film look amateur in their performances, thanks to the too many people roped in this movie, who do not have enough opportunity to prove their skills over the silver screen. The fact is the film has too many actors in it, which gives you very less opportunity to score point with its script and performances. And above all, the amount of factual flaws and errors showcased in the film appears to be visible in the film, which together has hampered the overall look and feel of the movie. Direction, editing and other technical elements too had some flaws, which have simply hampered the deal in a big way.
Youth Last Words
The film Youth has too many issues to worry about. In fact is a classic example of the old said axiom too many cooks spoil the broth. Hence the long star cast is unable to give much to the audience but has created a haywire in the film giving fewer amounts of opportunities to worry. In terms of performance the huge star cast in the film managed to falter over the silver screen in a big way. It seems that the director has failed to extract the potential required for slew of actors roped-in over the film. This has therefore hampered the rating of the film.

Signature Movie Review: The film, anchored by the brilliant Anupam Kher, takes you on an emotionally fraught journey.
Signature Movie Review: Signature breaks your heart over and over again. It takes you on an emotionally fraught journey, from the agony of watching a loved one suffer to the excruciating moment when you’re forced to decide whether or not they should continue to live. This is perhaps the hardest decision any guardian can face, and Signature portrays this dilemma with harrowing intensity.
At its emotional core is Arvind Pathak, played brilliantly by Anupam Kher, whose wife, Madhu (Neena Kulkarni), lies in a coma with little hope of recovery. Signature, directed by Gajendra Ahire, is an official remake of his acclaimed Marathi film Anumati. The film follows Arvind’s struggle as he tries to come to terms with his wife’s condition while racing against time to gather enough money to keep her on life support. The mounting medical bills and pressure from his son to sign a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order weigh heavily on him, but Arvind clings to hope as the doctors remain ambiguous about Madhu’s chances.
Arvind’s loyal friend, Prabhu, portrayed by Annu Kapoor, plays a key supporting role. Kapoor brings Prabhu to life with conviction, and his portrayal of a true, dependable friend shines through in every scene. Whether offering advice or simply being a source of strength for Arvind, Prabhu’s presence feels authentic. His performance is subtle yet effective, as he stands by Arvind through every trial.
Mahima Chaudhry also makes a brief appearance as Arvind’s childhood friend, Ambika. Her cameo is especially impactful, particularly because it mirrors her own real-life battle with cancer during the filming. This detail is woven into the narrative, making her scenes all the more powerful. However, the jarring dubbing of her voice is hard to ignore — it pulls you out of the moment, distracting from an otherwise strong performance.
Later in the film comes one of the most heart-wrenching scenes, as Arvind reaches the hospital after finally making up his mind about the DNR. As he enters, he sees a little boy’s lifeless body being carried out on a stretcher. Drenched in rain, his father, played by the inimitable Ranvir Shorey, stands there—defeated. This man had been fighting for his son’s life, battling the hospital, struggling with bills. Now, all of that effort is meaningless, and the despair in his eyes is almost unbearable. The scene shatters you. Arvind watches, knowing that his own battle is nearing an equally inevitable end. It’s not just a death we witness — it’s the collapse of a father’s hope, his fight, and his will to keep going. This devastating moment stays with you long after the film ends.
While Signature does a commendable job addressing issues like India’s failing healthcare system and the apathy toward senior citizens, it falters in its script. At times, the conversations feel stretched, lacking the sharpness to match the emotional depth of the scenes. The film captures the sense of lingering despair, even if some moments could have been trimmed for pace. Some dialogues feel flat, failing to capture the weight of the situations. Several scenes, especially those meant to evoke deep emotion, come across as predictable and could have been treated with more nuance.
Despite its flaws, Signature is anchored by Anupam Kher’s performance as Arvind. He fully embodies the character’s anguish, resilience and vulnerability. While the supporting cast, especially Annu Kapoor and Mahima Chaudhry, bring conviction to their roles, it is Anupam Kher’s portrayal of a man on the brink of losing everything that stays with you long after the credits roll.
The film may not hit all the right notes, but its powerful scenes and moments offer a raw, emotional depiction of love, loss and the hardest decisions we are ever forced to make.
