These TikTok Powerpoint Night Presentation Topics Are Hilarious

The winter season is tough when it comes to going out in college. Temperatures are brutal , and the last thing that you want to do is walk to your local frat or bar wearing a tube top. For the girlies who brave the winter weather and make the trek out, I admire you. But for the rest of us, a cozy night in with friends is just what we need after a stressful week. And now that it’s February, we also need some fun activities to take the Galentine’s party to the next level.

PowerPoint nights are one of the best bonding activities that you can do with friends in college. Not to mention it’s completely free and easy to host in a tiny dorm room . All you have to do is pick a topic and create a funny PowerPoint on it. For the media and design majors, it’s your time to shine. Pick a night during the week when everyone comes together with their presentations ready. Take turns presenting to your friends, and enjoy the chaos that unfolds. You can elevate your night by having some yummy food to go along with it. Spice it up with some drinks ( or mocktails ) too!

Astrology girlies – it’s your time to shine with this topic courtesy of @bellamato on TikTok . We’re talking an in-depth analysis of their sun, moon, and rising based on their personality.

Maleficent was an awakening for me. IYKYK.

Are we talking about illegally downloading movies online, or committing tax fraud? Depends on the friend.

Time to channel your inner Oceans 8 . We need a getaway driver, a thief, a tech genius, and someone who’s just there for the vibes.

I’m obsessed with this idea from @bellamato . There are so many iconic creators to choose from.

This topic is not for the weak – I’m far too sensitive, but if you and your friends have thick skin then go crazy.

You could take it back to the Disney channel roots or pick from popular shows like The White Lotus , The Sex Lives of College Girls , Ginny & Georgia , Stranger Things , and more.

Whether it’s iCarly , Zoey 101 , or Victorious , this is guaranteed to be a good time.

This topic is a huge crowd-pleaser, and you can get specific. For example, pestering the kidnapper to take them to a drive-thru.

Another amazing idea from @bellamato . You can include their job, if they’re married, if they have kids or pets, where they live, what their hobbies are, and so much more.

As an introvert, I would be locked in my house like any other day of the week — but that’s just me. If you’ve got more creative answers then this topic is for you.

Hot girls watched Princess and the Pauper , 12 Dancing Princesses , and the Magic of Pegasus .

TikTok has revived all of our middle school hunger games obsessions, and I’m not mad about it. Your PowerPoint can decide which friend comes out on top.

This topic is very niche, but someone needs to be the cauliflower gnocchi of the friend group.

I didn’t know that I needed the online Hunger Games simulator until now. Choose 24 of your closest friends (or enemies) and present who comes out on top as your PowerPoint night topic .

It’s embarrassing how many people immediately came to mind.

Make cancel culture work for you . There are so many recent scandals to choose from.

Some of these Disney princes can’t be trusted . Personally, I immediately thought of Hans from Frozen .

TikTok users listed all of their “ 2022 eras ” last month, creating a trend that amassed over 142 million views. It’s the perfect topic for a college PowerPoint night, especially if you list your “fall semester eras” as a little recap now that the spring semester is underway.

There are no rules, even if they’re already with someone else .

Brought to you by @bellamato , we want to hear all of the chaotic policies on your agenda.

This topic could single-handedly break up a friend group. It’s arguably one of the most controversial topics on this list, so tread lightly besties.

Be as in-depth and niche as possible. Think: their drink of choice, clothes that they wear all the time, the lingo that they use, exes or situationships , anything that they’re known for in the friend group.

I just know that Cassie is a long island girlie.

People are so bold on dating apps, there’s plenty of material for us to work with.

This one says a lot about a person, and we need an in-depth explanation for each friend.

We’re bringing it back to a popular TikTok trend , which has garnered 26 million views. You can even make it college-specific, like “Alabama things” or “Michigan things” that would send them into a coma (school spirit!).

Whether it’s Dance Moms , Love Island , or The Kardashians , this topic is guaranteed to be a good time.

Jail for anyone who gets Tristan.

I just know that Alex Russo and CeCe Jones would make me fold so quick.

26 TikTok video ideas to delight and engage your audience

1. share a tutorial.

Teach ‘em a lesson they won’t forget! By this we mean: create a quick and easy tutorial showcasing how to use your product or service.

This could be a fairly straightforward demo (here’s how to wash our sneakers) or something hyper-specific (here’s how to style our sneakers for Pride), or even a product hack a user might not know about (here’s how to recycle our sneakers into flower pots for a mother’s day gift).

2. Demo a recipe

There’s a whole world of cooks out there in the TikTokaverse: connect with them by sharing a recipe. Even if your brand isn’t specifically a food product or kitchen-related company, everyone’s gotta eat, right?

If you’re a fashion brand, maybe someone can wear a sweatshirt from your newest line while they prep some ceviche — it’s all about offering followers value, baby.

@bonappetitmag This cake pretty much caused a stampede in the test kitchen whenever it was up for grabs. @adamjmoussa was always at the front of it #brownbutter #cakefrosting #birthdaycake #cakerecipes ♬ original sound – Bon AppĂ©tit Magazine

3. Put a viral hack to the test

Let other people do the creative thinking for you: on TikTok, there’s absolutely no shame in piggybacking.

Share your own experience or reaction to a viral hack — people love to see honest reviews and tests before they try, like microwaving a hat full of popcorn or whatever. Here are @Recipes trying out a viral Starbucks drink.

@recipes Comment what I should try next? 😎 #viral #recipe #food #starbucks #chailatte #Splice ♬ original sound – Viral Recipes

4. Collaborate with other users

I’m sorry but I simply have to say it: teamwork makes the dream work!

Partner up with an influencer, one of your superfans, or another complementary business to half your workload and double your reach (if they’re sharing with their audience, you’re reaching a whole new set of eyeballs, hubba hubba).

@deepica Never Have I Ever

5. Lip synch to a song or dialog clip

TikTok was born from the ashes of a lip-synching and dancing app, so these activities are still super common on the social media platform. Why not get in on the fun?

While song lip-synching is the classic move, lip-synching dialog is a fun option as well: try pairing a catchphrase from a movie with a new context — for instance, shooting a clip of you admiring someone using your product while you mouth along to the famous “I’ll have what she’s having!” line from When Harry Met Sally . Iconic! Hilarious! Applicable to almost all types of businesses!

6. Make a wacky machine

 also
 do that?

7. Create a branded hashtag challenge

Challenges are hot-hot-hot on TikTok. Sure, you can follow along with whatever the most recent trend is (e.g. chugging a cup of dry nutmeg), but why not take it to the next level by creating your own with a branded hashtag, like Levi’s #buybetterwearlonger campaign?

@levis Save this video for the next time you go thrifting 📌 #vintagelevis #vintagedenim #buybetterwearlonger ♬ original sound – Levi’s

8. Do a non-branded TikTok challenge

Maybe you don’t have time to create a whole new challenge from scratch. No problem! There are dozens of challenges circulating around the platform at any given time.

Just tap on over to the Discover page to see what’s trending that you can join in on this week — like the #winteroutfit hashtag that even Rod Stewart is getting in on.

@sirrodstewart Thanks for showing us how it’s done! 🎄 đŸ•ș đŸ’ƒđŸ» #Christmas #FelizNavidad #FestiveFashion #ChristmasDecor #WinterOutfit @penny.lancaster0 ♬ Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? – Rod Stewart

9. Show your process in fast-motion

Whether you’re painting a mural, latch-hooking a rug, packing up an order for shipping, or using a chainsaw to carve a statue of a bear, it’s fun to see how something comes together
especially if it’s fast-motion and we don’t have to linger too long on the boring bits. Record yourself making your thing or practicing your activity, speed it up and set it to peppy music. The effect is hypnotic and impressive.

10. Host a livestream

For better or worse, anything can happen on a livestream
so live on the edge for once, why don’t you?

A livestream is a great chance to announce a new product drop, share some exciting brand news, host a Q&A, or interview a special guest, while viewers chime in in the comments with insights and maybe a crude emoji or two. (Dig in deeper to all things livestream with our ultimate guide to social media livestreaming here !)

11. Try out a duet

TikTok’s duet and stitch features offer the opportunity to collaborate with existing TikTok content to create your own fresh remix. Use this feature to film a reaction to a video, or layer on your own sweet voice or video onto an existing clip.

12. Create a comedy skit

Since TikTok videos are so short and fast-paced, they’re really the ideal format for comedy. If you’ve got a sense of humor and it’s appropriate for your brand, write a silly skit or embrace something absurd.

Viral TikToks tend to be ones that offer something informative or surprising, and what’s more surprising than something that makes you laugh?

@isthattomhearn4real The options are endless! #fyp #inagarten #barefootcontessa #inagartenrecipes #comedy #foodnetwork #cookingtips #kitchenhacks #impressions ♬ original sound – Tom Hearn!

13. Share some fun facts

Wouldn’t it be nice if the internet made us a little smarter for once? You can be part of that movement by sharing fun facts
either about your brand, your industry, or current events.

@spencer.barbosa WHO ELSE IS SHOOK???😖 #funfact #iwastodayyearsold #relatable #fact #teenager ♬ original sound – spencer barbosađŸ§šđŸ»

14. Go behind-the-scenes

Give the people a little peek-a-boo into what you do with an intimate look into your office, factory, team meeting, production process, or client visit.

Think of it like “bring your kid to work day” but, you know, for everyone on the internet. The 79,000 people who liked this video of tires being retreaded would agree that there’s something inherently satisfying about seeing behind the scenes.

15. Reveal a hot tip or life hack

What’s a surprising way you make your life easier or better? Why not share that wisdom with the world?

@mama_mila_ Which one will you try first? đŸŒ» #lifehacks #homehacks ♬ Material Girl – Madonna

16. Play with the green screen

The green screen technology TikTok has introduced to the world is, in short, a gift to humanity. Record a standard product update in front of a collage of Rihanna or use it to set a vibe by announcing a big sale in front of a tropical ocean view.

@tiktok Try out the new #greenscreenvideo Update the app to use the new Creative Effect! ♬ original sound – TikTok

17. Perform science experiments

It’s fun to see what happens when you attempt to play with the laws of physics or chemistry. Make a volcano. I dare you. Or just cover a watermelon in rubber bands like this man. You can’t look away!

@andcarli ♬ som original – Andcarli

18. Perform a makeover

Get into the world of #beautytok by giving someone (or yourself!) a makeover on camera. Hair, makeup, outfit, whatever kind of big exciting change you fancy.

Fast-motion video is a great one for this too, so you can see the transformation come together. The makeover doesn’t even have to be on a person
a DIY furniture makeover or room reveal can be just as satisfying.

@theflippedpiece This piece of furniture got an EXTREME makeover đŸ€Ż #MacysGiftTok #upcycling #furniture #makeover ♬ Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee

19. Hypnotize your followers with soothing visuals

If you’ve got access to some sort of weirdly satisfying or calm-and-sleepy video content: use it. It’s the visual back-rub we’re all craving. Now please take a brain break with this tape ball video.

https://www.tiktok.com/@eselden117/video/7125720695820045610?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc

20. Demo a workout

TikTok users are freaks for fitness. Get sweaty and demonstrate a workout routine or specific move that they can try out. Sure, maybe your brand has nothing to do with fitness, but put a twist on it to make it fit the right tone: for instance, if you’re a soda company, you could create a burpee-centric workout that incorporates taking a sip after every set.

@popsugarwellness @Jake DuPree knows how to switch it up. Our fave is number 4 😉 #Dumbbells? #DumbbellOnly #FitTok #FitnessTikTok #FitnessTips #DumbbellWorkout #TrainerTip ♬ GASLIGHT – INJI

21. Try out TikTok’s newest filters

The scientists at TikTok are releasing new filters and AR effects regularly. Get experimental and try something new. The effect might inspire the content, like the stop motion filter shown here.

22. Be a weirdo

Get absurd for fun. TikTok is full of gentle pranks and silliness. Delight your followers by doing something wonderfully weird
 like buying an all-pink breakfast.

23. Film a “get ready with me” clip

For some reason, it’s fascinating to see people’s routines. Film a day in the life or even a “get ready with me” clip where you show just how you roll: if the world wants to see just how you make your smoothie in the morning, who are you to deny them?

@str4w84by Packing my bag for class today ♬ gilmore lala – <3

24. Run a bracket or vote

Sure, partisanship may be tearing apart our society, but sometimes it’s fun to pit people against each other for non-serious reasons. Create a bracket or vote where you get people to weigh in on something: the more absurd the better, honestly.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? What is the best vegetable? Spark the debate and watch the engagement fly.

25. Open up a Q&A

Invite users to grill you with an “ask me anything” session (or an “ask me anything about a very specific topic” session). Then you can go ahead and answer the Qs over the course of future TikTok videos, or even run a TikTok livestream to respond to all of the burning queries. Content galore!

@tiktok The new Q&A feature is now here to help you ask or answer any questions. Try it out now! ♬ original sound – TikTok

26. Weigh in on a current event or special occasion

Use the events in the news, celebrity gossip, or major holidays or events to act as inspiration for the content you create. Share your Oscar picks, post a Superbowl snack recipe, or react to JLo and Ben Affleck’s wedding.

Build The Best Presentation For Your PowerPoint Night and Win With Your Friends and On TikTok

presentation tiktok ideas

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen (or at the very least heard of) the platform taking the internet by storm. TikTok, known for its viral videos, had 62 million downloads in January 2021— a number that we’d be willing to bet is closer to 1 billion now. From life hacks to viral dances, you can find a little bit of everything on the social platform— including presentations. By now you’ve probably heard of someone hosting a PowerPoint night. If it wasn’t someone that you know personally, it may have been someone on your carefully-curated “for you” feed on TikTok. PowerPoint nights— something that came to life in the midst of the pandemic— are a TikTok trend that involves you and your friends creating funny PowerPoint presentations about rankings, hot takes, dating profiles, or cheeky topics, and presenting them to each other. Of course, if you don’t share it on social media, did it even really happen? PowerPoint nights were trending on TikTok faster than you can say “PowerPoint.” And as such, presentations as a whole were put on the map for something other than work or school (a win for us).

While the activity is coined “PowerPoint night”, that doesn’t mean you’re limited to using PowerPoint to create your presentation. In fact, we may be biased, but a TikTok presentation created in Beautiful.ai might be more likely to steal the show, impress your friends, and be a hit on your social platform.

Build the best TikTok presentation with these PowerPoint night ideas.

Leave PowerPoint at home

The first step to creating a killer TikTok presentation to share with your peers? Leave PowerPoint at home (it’s so 2001— or “cheugy” as the kids on TikTok would say). For non-designers, it can be easy to create something ridiculously ugly in PowerPoint. And a sloppy deck can be a total buzz-kill at a PowerPoint night party. Instead, use Beautiful.ai and create something fresh and modern. With our inspiration gallery of pre-built templates , you’ll have a great jumping off point to create something unique and fun without spending too much time pulling the TikTok presentation together before the party.

presentation tiktok ideas

Pick a unique topic

This isn’t like a regular presentation, it’s a cool, TikTok presentation. In other words, it’s okay to be cheeky— you’re amongst friends, not in a conference room with your boss. To build a winning presentation for PowerPoint night, you’ll want a crowd-pleasing topic. Some fun topics could be conspiracy theories, burning questions, pop culture news or drama, dating app contenders, the best [blank] of all time, ranking your favorite things, casting your friends as movie stars, etc. Whatever you choose, it should be lighthearted and fun at its core.

Use eye-catching visuals

Bullet points are for the board room. For PowerPoint night, you should lead with strong visuals to make your presentation pop. Don’t shy away from photos, gifs, or videos to make your TikTok presentation more engaging and party-appropriate. Your friends want to spend the night laughing and poking fun at each other's decks, not reading paragraphs of text. With our free image library, there are hundreds of thousands of visual assets to choose from so there’s something for everyone and every PowerPoint night topic.

The bolder the colors, the better

Normally we’d tell you that less is more, but this is PowerPoint night. It’s okay to do the most with your color palette. Pick bold colors that compliment your PowerPoint night topic. For example, if you’re presenting a compilation of your friends as Disney characters, you might choose primary colors used often by Disney. Similarly, if you’re ranking your favorite fast food restaurants your color palette could reflect the brand colors of your winning restaurant. However you choose to pick your palette, the colors should create a contrast so that your text is legible and bold.

Have fun with it

Unlike a cookie-cutter class assignment, you can go wild with this TikTok presentation. Think outside the box and have fun with it. Do you want to use funky fonts and untraditional colors? Do it. Are you using a grid of photos for half of your slides? Great. Feel inclined to upload a humorous video or ridiculous audio recording? We love to see it. You have all the liberty and creative freedom to create the best presentation for your PowerPoint night and make it your own. Beautiful.ai allows you to push the boundaries without creating something totally horrendous looking, so your end deck is TikTok-worthy.

presentation tiktok ideas

Looking for a fun and creative way to hangout with friends? Try presenting one of these PowerPoint night ideas to your group for laughs.

Updated Oct 13, 2023

TikTok created another gem for activities to do with friends: PowerPoint nights. A PowerPoint night is a chill, social event with friends , family or even in a social gathering place like game night at a local brewery. To participate, everyone creates a PowerPoint on a topic of their choosing and presents it to the group. At first the idea may sound like a nightmare to anyone with a fear of public speaking, but it is quite the opposite. PowerPoint nights take all the pressure out of giving a presentation and give you, your friends and guests the opportunity to talk about a topic you love or find funny. Check out this list if this idea sounds fun and you want some PowerPoint night ideas.

These PowerPoint night ideas are a fun way for friends, colleagues or group members to share their interests, passions or stories in a structured and visually engaging manner. Get creative by choosing random topic ideas or having each participant assign each other one.

The presentation can even be beneficial and fun at the same time . For example, use this night as practice for a friend or colleague who has to present at a meeting or class. They can make the presentation a bit silly to make it less stressful, and it will even serve as a rehearsal for the real thing. Just have fun and keep everything light hearted with whatever PowerPoint night ideas you and your other participants come up with.

Hosting a PowerPoint Night? Here Are a Few Ideas to Get You Started

Jacqueline Gualtieri - Author

Dec. 23 2020, Updated 4:18 p.m. ET

At this point, you probably know at least one friend who has partaken in a PowerPoint night, and you may be interested in hosting your own. Either that or you've seen a million PowerPoint nights on TikTok, and they've inspired your own party. Whether you want to host a virtual PowerPoint night, or one with your quarantine pod or roomies, here are a few ideas to get you started.

Pop culture rankings are always a good choice.

@yourpalmalhal Better than a any political debate; baby grinch. ##foryoupage ##happyathome ##fyp ##powerpointnight #corona ♬ original sound - Mal idek

At my last PowerPoint night, one friend ranked all of James Marsden's characters by "marriageability" (although we all know that Criss Chros deserves the No. 1 spot). Pop culture references are a popular choice because, for the most part, your audience, as they are usually your friends, often have similar taste in shows and movies. Although they may not agree with your conclusion (sorry, but Baby Groot is the cutest, @yourpalmalhal), you'll all have a fun time getting there.

Go for nostalgia.

@jesshorner25 i’m drunk ##powerpointnight ##twilight ♬ Best twilight songs - Kylie

Pop culture is fun and all, but if you've ever had a PowerPoint night with friends you've known since way back when, you know it's fun to go back to some nostalgic roots. Did you and your friends use to debate Team Edward vs Team Jacob? Time to bring up some old arguments — with a more, ahem, mature twist.

Give it a theme, especially if you have some hesitant players.

@blehemma who’s ur fave problematic character?! 👀 ##powerpointnight ##anime ##deathnote ##hunterxhunter ##erased ##thepromisedneverland ##jujutsukaisen ##hxh ##fypă‚· ♬ Monkeys Spinning Monkeys - Kevin MacLeod

If you have a friend group who cries, "I can't think of anything," whenever you propose a PowerPoint night, make it a little easier and give them a more specific topic. Decide on something that you're all at least somewhat passionate about (like your favorite problematic anime characters) and have everyone defend their positions.

Go for personal.

@natvol6 powerpoint night ##powerpointnight ##friends ♬ Monkeys Spinning Monkeys - Kevin MacLeod

Look, if you know for a fact that you and your friend group can handle some personal info, go for it. Rule No. 1 of PowerPoint night is that it's a judgment free zone. Want to rate all the places you've hooked up? Do it! Want to admit all of your hardcore celebrity crushes all in one go? Go for it! Of course, you can also go in the other direction and make it more personal towards your friends, but be a little kinder in that regard. And probably clear it with your friend that you're about to absolutely trash her Instagram.

Go weird and obscure.

@obiwansimpobi dedicating this to my tiktok roots ##mammamia ##mammamia2 ##powerpointnight ##donnasheridan ##abba ##powerpoint ##mammamiamovie ##pastry ##fyp ##mammamiatiktok ♬ Mamma Mia - Austin Weber

OK, we've all seen the PowerPoints ranking Disney dads, right? No offense to anyone making them, but we've seen them a lot already. If you want to do something that you're absolutely sure your friends aren't going to do, don't be afraid to get passionate about the things you're passionate about and go weird! If you love Mamma Mia! and pastries, it makes sense to combine them, doesn't it? At the end of the day, just make a PowerPoint that makes you happy.

Rankings also work when you're applying them to your friends.

@giamaliaa this is college #fyp #powerpointnight #college #HolidayTikTok #RnBVibes ♬ original sound - matt lockshaw

Flat out ranking your friends? Kinda lame. Ranking your friends in terms of who would get divorced first or who is which Tinder stereotype? Now that's better. Again though, be sure that your friend group is on that level.

Give us your bad takes.

@taylor__lilly don't judge me lol I had some honorable mentions at the end of my presentation #powerpointnight #powerpointparty #starwars #starwarscharacters ♬ original sound - matt lockshaw

PowerPoint nights thrive on bad, bad takes that don't get discussed in normal conversations. Like, when was the last time your friend admitted that they're into Jar Jar Binks? PowerPoint night is a place where all the bad takes come out to play. Yes, your friends will argue right back, but that just means you get to do the same for their presentation, because, if done right, everyone should be sharing a lot of questionable things on PowerPoint night.

Friends Are Doing PowerPoint Nights to Present Hot Takes to Each Other, and It Looks So Fun

presentation tiktok ideas

If you're looking for a fun and safe way to hang with friends and make some hilarious memories, hosting a PowerPoint night is a perfect idea. PowerPoint nights are a trend on TikTok that involves you and your friends making funny slideshows about hot takes , rankings, and other nuanced opinions, then presenting them to each other. Topics range from hilarious pop culture comparisons to ranking your exes and more — and we just can't get enough. Between these TikTok users' creative ideas and the ways they present the material (lots of pictures, hand gestures, blunt honesty, and even costumes), we can't stop laughing — and even learning!

For these reasons, PowerPoint nights have quickly become a popular activity all over the world. What's especially great about them is they're low-key and require few materials; all you need is some comfy clothes , a laptop, lots of snacks , and an idea. And you can have PowerPoint nights either in person with your roommates or over Zoom. Find TikToks with hilarious topics (including a few NSFW ones!) you can consider for your PowerPoint night presentation ahead.

PowerPoint Night TikTok Trend Explained And Some Great Examples

On TikTok , trends come and go fast. A week of social media detox and you could have missed the entire lifetime of a trend, from its inception to its third post-ironic revival. This oversaturation of trends means most disappear without a second thought from anyone. But a few have stood out from the crowd, such as the pandemic classic, the PowerPoint Night.

If you weren’t around for this one, it’s pretty simple. You gather a group of friends or housemates, and each person prepares a PowerPoint ahead of the event. Then, on the designated night, everyone takes turns presenting to the group, sometimes with the aid of laser pointers. Essentially, it’s a party that you do homework for. It sounds like a recipe for the most boring event ever.

But the fun part is that there is no standard format for the presentation: it’s completely up to interpretation. Because of this, the game is a great way to get to know one another better. The topic each person chooses gives you insight into the inner workings of their brain and their sense of humour. Some use it as a way to delve into a niche interest, while others enjoy pondering absurd questions or exposing each other’s Instagrams. All, of course, with an excessive amount of over-the-top slide transitions.

Initially popularised during lockdown, the PowerPoint Night was a great way to socialize without having to leave the house. The process of making the presentations was simple, but it meant that everyone went into the event with a level of investment. The most exciting part is the title reveal, which created a friendly sense of competition to see who could choose the most out of pocket or scandalous topic.

The Best PowerPoint Night Examples

Here are some of the best examples of the creative PowerPoints people came up with as part of the trend. From friend groups to classrooms and families, PowerPoint nights are a universally fun activity.

The trend caught on substantially, with #powerpointnight garnering 249.3 million views on TikTok. Some people posted highlight clips of their own events or presentations in full, while others shared their topic ideas. Seeing the amount of fun people have presenting and cheering each other on, it’s hard not to want to do it yourself. Who knows? Maybe it’s time for this trend to come back.

After all, there are fewer better ways to get to know your new housemates or coursemates with so many Freshers heading to university this month.

22 TikTok Video Ideas To Inspire You & Engage Your Audience (+ Examples)

' src=

Struggling to come up with new TikTok video ideas? I’ve got you covered.

In this post, I’ll be sharing 22 ideas for TikTok videos that are proven to get more views and engagements.

Plus, I’ll also share examples of viral videos to illustrate what each idea might look like in practice and get your creative cogs whirring.

By the way: I’ve made sure to include a mix of video ideas for both brands/marketers looking to promote their business, as well as ideas for creators/influencers looking to grow their audience.

#1 – Start a product trend

Tons of products go viral on TikTok every week. And when they do, they often generate thousands of sales for the brands behind them.

Try searching for #tiktokmademebuyit or #trendingproducts for a glimpse at just how powerful it can be when you start a new product trend—the most popular TikTok videos with these hashtags get millions of views and inspire hundreds of copycat videos.

The ones that go viral often feature creators showcasing unique products in action to illustrate how useful they are in different situations.

Check out this video from @myscrub.gun , which showcases their Scrub Gun product in action.

Start a product trend - myscrub.gun

It’s a super simple, 15-second demo video showing how someone using it to clean a pan—nothing special. And yet, it’s racked up 12.3 million views. That’s a heck of a lot of exposure for very little effort.

#2 – Share your expert tips

Everyone’s an expert in something. So, why not make a TikTok video sharing some bite-sized tips about the thing you know better than anyone else? That could be dog training, vacation packing, ironing, Photoshop
anything.

These kinds of easy-to-digest, useful educational videos can go super viral on TikTok and get millions of views. They often feature captions to make it easy for the audience to follow along and absorb what you’re trying to teach them.

Here’s a good example of a post we published over at Blogging Wizard:

In this short video, we cover the main 4 ways to make a blog profitable. It’s based on a blog post I wrote a few years ago.

This style of video may look complex to create but you can easily create this sort of thing using online design tools like Visme or Canva.

#3 – Use trending sounds

TikTok revolves around trending sounds—short snippets of dialogue. An easy way to get more views and engagements is to create videos that include these trending sounds.

The most straightforward example of this is lip syncing videos, in which you silently mouth the words from a movie/TV show to give it a different context.

One of the most iconic trending sounds of last year was ‘I’m just a baby’. It originated from a viral video in which a mother asked her young daughter Cosette to stop misbehaving, and she responded ‘I’m just a baby’ as an excuse to carry on.

This led thousands of other creators to take that audio clip and apply it to different contexts to create their own video memes. Here’s an example from creator Laura88Lee , which garnered over 3.3 million views.

Use trending sounds - creator Laura88Lee

#4 – Use trending music

Aside from trending sounds, you can also create your TikTok videos around trending music. Certain songs blow up on TikTok, and featuring them in your videos is a surefire way to increase their reach.

Tokboard provides a weekly chart of the most popular TikTok songs, so this is a great place to go for inspiration.

There’s no better example of the power of trending music than Strawberry Chocolate by creator @pr4yforgabs :

Use trending music - pr4yforgabs

In the video, the creator moves her camera to the beat of ‘What You Won’t Do for Love – Bobby Caldwell’ (a trending song on TikTok) as she zooms in and out on chocolate-covered strawberries.

Nothing special, and yet it’s blown up with an eye-watering 417.2 million views (and counting). It’s so popular that it’s on its way to breaking Bella Poarch’s record for the TikTok video with the most views and likes of all time.

#5 – Educate your viewers

TikTok isn’t just for entertainment—it’s a great place to share educational content too. In particular, short educational videos about history and science tend to perform very well.

If you’re a brand, you could also create educational videos about your products, such as tutorials that show viewers how to use or assemble your products correctly.

@mulligan.tv is a popular TikTok creator known for his educational videos that often cover topics like astrophysics and astrophysics. In this video , he explores what happens if you were to fall into a black hole.

Educate your viewers - mulligan.tv

Thanks to his ability to break down complex, often mind-boggling topics like black holes, string theory, and time dilation into easy-to-understand, bite-size videos, he’s gained over a million followers. And all of his videos get hundreds of thousands of views.

#6 – Start a dance trend

Like I said earlier, TikTok revolves around music and trending sounds. So naturally, some of the best-performing videos on that platform involve creators dancing to popular songs.

Over the years, there have been dozens of ‘dance trends’, in which a particular creator has choreographed a dance that has gone viral and inspired thousands of other creators to share videos with their attempt at it.

If you can do the same, you can reach millions of viewers through your dance videos and get a ton of exposure for your brand.

One of the biggest dance trends of 2024 was the #thaidancechallenge. It involves three or more people who start off bobbing up and down and then take turns dancing in sync before all of them dance together at the end of the clip.

Over 700k videos took part in the viral dance, including this one from creator @happykelli , which has over 20 million views.

Start a dance trend - happykelli

#7 – Share something inspirational

Create a video to inspire your viewers and give them a lift. Share an inspirational quote, a personal story of how you overcame a challenge, or just offer some motivational advice to anyone who might be struggling.

TikToker @GMBadass does one thing and one thing only: Uploads aggressively motivational videos for viewers to watch in the morning to get their day off to the right start.

Share something inspirational - GMBadass

Their videos remind viewers what they’re capable of and what they can achieve, and they get often millions of views.

And the best part is they’re super easy to make. The creator just overlays captions over inspirational images, with an AI-generated voiceover to read out the inspirational script.

#8 – Weigh in on the news

Look at what’s happening in the world right now and use that as inspiration for your TikTok videos. For example, you could weigh in on the presidential debate, give your take on the latest celeb gossip, share your Oscar pick, or react to the Superbowl commercials.

Hasanabi (@hasandpiker) is a popular political commentator with over 705k followers on TikTok. He often shares TikTok videos with his reaction to the latest news in politics, and this has helped him to grow super quickly.

For example, in this video , he offers a balanced recap and analysis of Biden’s State of the Union address.

Weigh in on the news - Hasanabi

#9 – Make a shocking edit

One surefire way to get viewers to stop, take notice, and engage with your videos is to shock or surprise them.

And that should be easy if you’re a talented video editor who knows how to work with SFX and VFX. You can use those skills to cook up a video that plays with the viewer’s expectations and delivers something unexpected.

There’s a whole niche of TikTok videos that do just that, and they often get millions of views.

Creator @jurrienhendrikx is a master of these types of TikTok videos. He regularly uploads ‘visual illusion’ videos that look completely innocuous but are cleverly edited to deliver a shocking twist that you weren’t expecting.

For example, in this video , the viewer is expecting to see the cat pop the balloon—but that’s not what happens at all.

Make a shocking edit - jurrienhendrikx

Jurrien’s videos have collectively garnered over 30 million views, and the channel has racked up almost a million followers to date.

#10 – Make an epic edit

Another way you can put your video editing skills to use is to create a truly ‘epic’ TikTok video. This one’s easier to illustrate with an example, so let’s look at one.

TikToker Legendary Jay recently blew up on TikTok with this epic Uno edit :

Make an epic edit - Legendary Jay

It’s had over 208.8 million views in just a couple of weeks, and there’s currently a movement to try to make it the most-liked video in TikTok history.

And the reason why it’s so popular is purely on the strength of the edit. Viewers love the way the creator has taken something as simple and uninteresting as a game of uno and turned it into a cinematic masterpiece.

#11 – Create a comedy skit

If you’ve got a good sense of humor, why not write a comedy skit and turn it into a TikTok video? If you can make the audience laugh, it’s almost guaranteed to perform well.

Just remember that TikTok viewers have short attention spans, so it’s got to be fast-paced—you’re not aiming for a 10-minute standup routine.

TikToker Nicholas Flannery is a master of the comedy skit format. He’s known for his funny videos in which he plays different characters and pokes fun at common movie tropes.

#12 – Offer a sneak peek

This is another great TikTok video idea for brands, musicians, and producers. Build hype around an upcoming product launch, album drop, or movie/episode release by offering your viewers a sneak peek of what’s to come.

This video from Kylie Cantrall offers viewers a sneak peek at Descendants 4, and it blew up, racking up 3.2 million views in just one week.

#13 – Show your creative process

If you’re a talented creator, why not create a TikTok video showing viewers your creative process?

For example, if you’re a graphic designer or illustrator, you could let viewers watch over your shoulder as you draw an illustration in Procreate or Illustrator. Or if you’re a game developer, you could create weekly videos showing the progress you’ve made that week. You get the idea.

In this video from @vthedev , the creator breaks down the progress he made over one year of working on his game, Capybara Rush. He shares what he accomplished each week and month, and how it all came together to bring the game to life.

#14 – Make a short vlog

Vlogs (video blogs) give viewers an insight into your day. The most common format is the ‘daily vlog’ or ‘day in my life’ video, in which you share the highlights of what you got up to over 24 hours.

If you’re a brand, you might share a daily vlog that showcases what a day in the office at your place of work looks like, or a day in the life of one of your product developers. This can be a great way to connect with your audience on a more personal level and humanize your brand.

Here’s an example from TikToker @anna.lamos . In this video, she shares a day in her life living in Paris. It’s had over 1.8 million views to date.

#15 – Share a recipe

If there’s one thing that everyone likes, it’s good food. Share your secret recipe for a killer mac & cheese, or show viewers how to properly season a steak, and watch as the views roll in.

This TikTok video idea is perfect for food-related brands and professional chefs. But even if you’re none of the above, you can get involved. You never know who will be interested in your personal food hacks and home-grown creations.

TikToker Nicole (@simple.home.edit) made this TikTok video showing viewers how to make a delicious dish of crispy sweet chili chicken on a budget, and it’s had over 15.3 million views to date.

#16 – Share or test a viral hack

Another format that’s super popular on TikTok is the ‘viral hack’ video. The idea is to share a neat trick that viewers can make use of in their everyday lives. For example, that might be a way to get the last bit of ketchup out of the bottle a little easier. Or a better way to clean the dirt from inside the cracks in your keyboard.

If you can’t think of your own hack, you could also make a video in which you test out a hack (or multiple hacks) that someone else came up with.

This viral video from TikToker Kirsten McCready shows the hack she uses to avoid dealing with clogged-up toothpaste tubes.

Share or test a viral hack - Kirsten McCready

She squeezes all her toothpaste out into a bottle and attaches a pump to the end to squirt it out. This novel idea resonated with a lot of people, as the video racked up 29.4 million views.

#17 – Go Live

Did you know TikTok has a livestream function? If you’ve only been sharing pre-recorded videos so far, mix it up and Go Live to connect with your audience in real time.

TikTok livestreams are a particularly good way for brands to announce new product launches, share news, and answer Q&As. And what’s also cool is that your viewers can gift you points during your livestreams which can be exchanged for funds.

TikTok influencer spudman (@spudarmy) regularly goes live to thousands of viewers, who eagerly tune in to watch him as he goes about his day at work in the spud van.

Go Live - spudman

He’s so popular that he’s amassed over 3 million followers to date, and earned thousands of new customers for his spud business in the process.

#18 – Stitch a viral video

No time to make your own original video content? Remix someone else’s! TikTok’s stitch feature lets creators offer their own fresh take on another creator’s video.

When you stitch a viral video, the original video plays first, followed by the content you’ve stitched on. This allows you to ‘piggyback’ off of the viral success of the original video while also adding value of your own.

@khaby.lame is the most followed TikToker on the planet, and he owes a lot of his success to TikTok’s stitch feature.

He regularly posts stitched TikTok videos in which he first shows complicated viral ‘life hacks’, and then shows him performing the same task in a much simpler way as a way to poke fun at it.

Stitch a viral video - khaby.lame

This formula has proven to be incredibly successful. Not only does Khaby now have over 161.5 million followers, but his best-performing video clips get hundreds of millions of views.

#19 – Duet a viral video

Duets are another way to capitalize on the success of a viral video. Like Stitches, Duets let you remix someone else’s content to add your own spin on it. But while Stitched videos play in sequence, Duets play simultaneously in a side-by-side split-screen view.

@richardsalesofficial is a TikTok creator who’s mastered the art of the Duet. He’s amassed 8.4 million followers thanks to his viral formula of sharing his play-by-play, incredulous reactions to viral life hack videos. This one has 29.4 million views.

#20 – Start or join in a challenge

Another week, another new TikTok challenge. Join in with the next big one to tap into its virality and you might see your view count soar. Or even better, start your own challenge and get others to join in: If it goes viral, your TikTok account could blow up overnight.

In this video by @sociallybrooke , two friends attempt the #partnerchallenge, in which two friends pull each other up from a sitting position to a standing position in sync. It’s had 33.3 million views so far.

Start or join in a challenge - sociallybrooke

#21 – Give your viewers a look behind-the-scenes

Let your viewers peek behind the curtain to see what goes on behind the scenes at your business, office, studio, etc. This is great for brands and musicians who want to foster a deeper connection with their audience.

In this video by @zhiyun.global , you get to see behind the scenes of the award-winning short film Hammer.

Give your viewers a look behind-the-scenes - zhiyun.global

It shows the creative genius that goes into filming specific scenes and has been viewed over 9.6 million times so far.

#22 – Tell a story

Humans love stories. So, one of the simplest but most effective TikTok video ideas is to just tell your viewers a story! That could be something as simple as a funny anecdote recounting something that happened to you that week

Use the #storytime hashtag to maximize reach and keep it interesting, and you could easily have a viral video on your hands.

Creator @kevinjamesthornton is known for his storytime videos in which he shares funny stories from his life. What makes his videos stand out from others, though, is the way he uses an electronic voice modulator to make his stories more interesting.

Tell a story - kevinjamesthornton

He also adds captions to help viewers follow along even without sound. As a result, he’s been hugely successful, amassing 1.6 million followers.

Final thoughts

That’s a wrap. By now, you should have enough TikTok video ideas to get started with.

Hopefully, they’ve given you some inspiration. Just remember that success on TikTok is all about pushing the boundaries and finding your niche. These video ideas have worked for some creators, but you’ll have to experiment to find what works best for you.

20 Top TikTok Video Ideas Your Audience Will Love (With Examples)

' src=

Need a little inspiration for your TikTok content? You’ve come to the right place.

TikTok has over 700 million monthly active users, and as such, there are tons of different types of videos posted to the platform daily. If you’re unsure where to start, then we’ve got you covered.

In this article, you’ll find a bunch of the most popular TikTok video ideas to help you kickstart your content creation.

Ready? Let’s jump into the list.

1. Dance videos

Dance is a fundamental part of TikTok. The app is where new dance trends take off, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a member of Gen Z that can’t do at least one TikTok dance.

Renegade was one of the hottest dance trends to first blow up on the app; a style in which users dance with choreographed upper body movements to the song Lottery by K Camp—but there have been dozens more.

If you can create your own short dance that goes viral on TikTok, you’ll blow up instantly.

That’s just what happened to 14-year-old Jalaiah Harmon from Atlanta:

@jalaiahharmon Vc:/ @imd1nayah đŸ’•đŸ†™đŸ”„ ♬ nayahxokay – tre

She performed the original Renegade dance back in 2019 and now has over 3 million followers on the app as a result.

2. Music videos

Music is just as important on TikTok as dance. Countless musicians have launched their careers on the app, and if you’re a talented artist, you could do the same by releasing an original music video.

One surefire way to make your music videos a success is to feature a well-choreographed dance. This is what happened when Doja Cat dropped her track Say So. It inspired a viral video dance trend that blew up on TikTok, propelling the artist’s career into the stratosphere.

For example, this video features a dance inspired by the Say So video and racked up over 10 million views:

@yodelinghaley HERE IT IS!! the full say so danceđŸ„șđŸ„° ♬ say so by doja cat – haley sharpe

3. Videos using trending sounds

Pretty much all TikTok videos are accompanied by some sort of audio. And every week, there seems to be a new audio trend that inspires millions of users to interpret the same sound clips in new, creative ways.

For example, one of the latest trending sounds at the time of writing is a clip from Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero, which features the lyrics “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me”. Thousands of TikTok users have published funny videos lip syncing to this line.

Here’s an example:

@good.boy.ollie He’s the problem đŸ«  #labrador ♬ Anti-Hero – Taylor Swift

4. Art videos

Got a talent for art? If so, why not post videos sharing your creative process on TikTok?

The more creative, the better. Here’s a great example of an art video from TikTok creator Kelly Edelman , in which she paints a sketch using coffee (yep, that’s right—coffee):

@eyeinspired Painting my unfinished sketch with coffee ☕ #art #artwork #spillart #paint #painting #draw #coffee ♬ Unholy – Sam Smith & Kim Petras

Part of the reason art videos like these are so popular is that they have a ton of visual appeal. TikTok viewers have short attention fans but an eye-catching work of art can get them to stop scrolling and take notice.

5. Experiments

Humans are naturally curious. You can tap into that curiosity to get people to click and watch your TikTok videos by running interesting experiments.

There are lots of different types of experiments and educational videos you can try. Here’s an example of a scientific experiment from creator Big Manny, who made a TikTok showing what happens when you mix lithium metal and water and racked up 2.7 million likes:

@big.manny1 Lithium metal + water đŸ’„ #science #chemistry #experiment ♬ original sound – Big Manny

If you’re not scientifically inclined, you can run social experiments instead, like this video from Matthew Bandeira testing whether or not people would help a girl tie her shoelaces.

@matt.tv Would you help the girl? #foryou #foryoupage #experiment #kindness #awareness ♬ original sound – Matthew Bandeira

6. ASMR

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It’s a physical phenomenon in which viewers experience a tingling sensation on their scalp, neck, and spine in response to visual and audio stimulation. And it has inspired a wave of TikTok videos.

There are hundreds of ASMR creators out there that make short videos specifically formulated to include triggers that elicit this tingling response (like breathy voices and rustling sounds). And the top ASMR videos get hundreds of thousands of views.

Here’s an example from Sassy Sounds ASMR:

@sassysoundsasmr Replying to @shane.bag #mascara #fyp #vintagemakeup #asmr ♬ original sound – ᔕᗩᔕᔕ

7. Relaxing videos

TikTok viewers aren’t always looking for excitement and energy. Sometimes, they just want to watch something chilled to help them kick back and relax.

Here’s a great example of a popular relaxing video by Oliver Signs:

@oliversigns2 Watch some satisfying and soothing painting. #oliversigns #oddlysatisfying #satisfying #relaxing #soothing ♬ original sound – Oliver Signs

As you can see, there’s not much to it. It’s just a guy painting a car windshield — and yet it’s racked up over 1.7 million likes. Why? Because there’s just something satisfying and soothing about it that viewers seem to like.

8. Home organization videos

This is a great option for all the homebodies out there. Cleaning and home organization are extremely popular on TikTok so if you love styling your homeware decor, or organizing your pantry then you could make videos out of it.

One of the most popular types of home organization videos is fridge and pantry restock videos like this one:

@numbersixtysix I love the sound those last containers make when you close them! đŸ’†đŸŒâ€â™€ïžâœš #restock #restocking #refill #organizing #organizedhome #satisfying #asmr #foryou #fridgerestock #fridgeorganization #fridge ♬ original sound – Rose Amsterdam

Essentially, creators refill their fridges and pantries with their favorite products in an ‘aesthetic’ way. Many people find this type of content to be relaxing and satisfying, so it’s sure to be a big hit with your audience.

You can also consider making content relating to DIY and home decor that document any projects that you complete around the house.

9. Shopping videos

Love hitting the mall and searching for all the best new products? You can make a TikTok out of that. Yes, one of the most popular TikTok video formats is tours of high street stores that summarize all the new products that are available.

Most shopping creators focus on high-street fashion stores like Zara, H&M, and Primark, but you can also create shopping content for grocery stores and even thrift stores.

The great thing about these videos is that they’re really easy to make and don’t really require any technical editing skills to produce.  If you have a smartphone with a camera, you can whip them up in just a few seconds.

10. Makeup tutorials

Makeup tutorials are extremely popular on TikTok, so if you’ve got some skills when it comes to makeup and skincare, then this could be the video idea for you.

Makeup creators like NikkieTutorials regularly receive over 1 million views per video trying out new makeup styles and testing out new products. Here’s an example of one of her most popular videos:

@nikkietutorials I literally don’t understand how this works? #foryou #fyp #transformation ♬ original sound – nikkietutorials

If you want to get more views on your makeup tutorials, you can also try incorporating current TikTok trends into your videos. For example, this creator used a TikTok filter created by influencer Safiya Nygard to decide on how to do her Halloween makeup and amassed over 70k views:

@splasheslashes @Safiya Nygaard you KILLED this filter đŸ–€đŸŠ‡ #halloweenmakeup #halloweenbysaf #batlashes #batmakeup #splasheslashes #makeup ♬ –

11. GRWM (Get Ready With Me)

It may seem quite strange, but you really can turn just about any mundane task into a TikTok video, even getting dressed in the morning.

One of the most popular video formats on the social media platform is the GRWM video, which stands for get ready with me. In these videos, creators select their outfits for the day, apply their skincare and makeup, and usually pose in front of the camera for a few seconds.

Despite how simple these videos are to film and make, they are really popular with TikTok users. This makes them a great choice for creators looking to boost their content output without spending tons of time filming and editing more videos.

12. A day in the life videos

Another super simple TikTok video format is day-in-the-life videos. In these videos, creators simply film what they get up to throughout the day, from what time they wake up to what they eat for lunch, and more.

Again, these types of videos are extremely easy to film and don’t require all that much editing, making them a great choice if you’re having a busy day, but still want to create some TikTok content.

Day-in-the-life videos are popular content types for large influencers. However, it’s also common to see small businesses creating day-in-the-life videos. These videos usually focus on the behind-the-scenes of the business, such as creating products and packing orders. Here’s an example:

@laurelmaeart a day in the life: packing orders ✹ #art #smallbusiness #foryou #etsyshop #stickershop #fyp #asmr ♬ Choking on Flowers – Fox Academy

13. Workout videos

Spend a lot of time at the gym? Why not start making TikTok videos from your daily workouts? Filming your workouts can be a great way to keep track of your personal progress, but you could also be an inspiration for your TikTok audience too.

Fitness is a very popular trend on TikTok and there are tons of creators sharing workout tips, body inspiration, and more.

Another cool thing about creating workout videos is that fitness brands love to partner with influencers. So, if you build your following, you may be able to get paid for sponsored posts and receive free products from brands.

14. Comedy skits

TikTok is a platform where anything goes, and viewers are mostly in the market for fun and entertaining content.

As a result, comedy videos are some of the most popular clips you’ll see on the app. You can create comedy videos about anything from political affairs to funny things that happen on the internet.

One of TikTok’s biggest stars Lubalin creates hilarious songs based on internet drama and has amassed over 35 million likes on his videos. He even appeared on Jimmy Fallon back in 2021.

@lubalin that escalated quickly… #sodramatic #humor #oldpeoplefacebook #boomer #musician #producer ♬ original sound – Lubalin

The great thing about comedy is that it’s something everyone enjoys, which means comedy videos often have huge viral potential.

15. Cooking tutorials

If you love to eat and love to cook then creating cooking videos for TikTok is a great choice for you.

You should try and keep your cooking videos short and sweet to fit in with the average length of TikTok content. However, you can still provide micro tutorials on how to make your favorite meals.

There are creators cooking all sorts of meals on TikTok, but some of the most popular types of cooking videos are healthy and vegan recipes like this one:

@jessicainthekitchen Reply to @cmp715 coconut chickpea curry with garlic naan is an elite combo đŸ„șđŸ˜đŸ«“đŸ› #EasyRecipes #garlicnaan #plantbased #vegan #chickpeacurry #channamasala #jamaicancurry ♬ I Like – Guy

16. Product showcasing videos

This one is a great idea for anyone looking to make some extra cash using TikTok. Many creators make short videos showcasing products that are available online on sites like Amazon and eBay.

If you create these videos, you can make a side income from sales if you sign up for affiliate programs like Amazon Affiliates.

Here’s an example of a creator showcasing their favorite Amazon finds:

@bradylockerby Amazönn products that are actually worth your money! all liinked as always đŸ«¶đŸŒđŸ’• #amazonfavorites #amazonfinds #amazon #amazonfashion #amazonmusthaves #amazontiktok #amazontok #greenscreen ♬ She Share Story (for Vlog) – ć±±ćŁć€•äŸ

When creating these videos, be sure to link to the products you are showcasing in your bio so that viewers can easily find and purchase them.

17. Social media challenges

Challenge trends regularly appear on the TikTok app. Often they are physical challenges or dance challenges and they can be a fun way to create content and get a boost in views by piggybacking on a trend.

Some of the most popular challenges include the renegade challenge and the Shalala emoji challenge, but new challenges crop up on the For You page all the time.

@ratnabrittanylim We dance our happy dance #momdaughters #shalalachallenge #tutorialdancetiktok ♬ shalala lala – ‍🌟

One of the benefits of taking part in challenges is that you may get featured on the TikTok discover page which will bring more viewers to your videos.

18. Stitch and Duet videos

With Stitch or Duet videos, you can repurpose another creator’s video to give your reaction or hot take on the video.

When you stitch a video, the other content creator’s video will be played, and then you’ll be able to edit and add your own content after it. When you duet a video, your content will be placed alongside a clip of the video that you are dueting.

One of the most popular duet stars on TikTok is Khabane lame. He has over 150 million followers and makes hilarious reaction stitch and duet videos like this one:

@khaby.lame Yes literary Genius my friend đŸ€ČđŸżđŸ€ŠđŸżâ€â™‚ïž #learnfromkhaby #learnwithtiktok @tiktok ♬ suono originale – Khabane lame

19. Animal content

If you want to get a lot of views on your TikTok videos, there’s one surefire way to do it – make cute animal videos. It’s a tried and tested formula, people simply can’t get enough of cute pets and funny farm animals.

If you’re starting a TikTok account from scratch and you have a particularly cute cat or dog, then it’s well worth centering all your content around them.

Social media accounts for pets are extremely popular and usually have huge followings. One great example is the talking doggy TikTok star Casp47, who has over 1 million followers on the platform.

@casp47 Oh dear Casper!! Not acceptable! #casp47 #annoying #family #dog ♬ original sound – Ryan Dykta

20. Positive affirmations

Here’s a TikTok video idea to make your followers feel good – create video clips with positive affirmations.

Positive affirmation videos feature affirming quotes, nice music, and usually a scenic photo or clip. The aim of the videos is to boost the viewer’s mood and bring a little happiness to anyone that watches it. Here’s an example:

@drawingknowswhoyouare Need to try this affitmation from @Manifestation CoachâšĄïž #manifestation #affirmation #positive #fy #foryou ♬ IMPERIAL PIANO – Treia Music

These types of videos are quite easy to whip up, and they show your followers that you are concerned about their mental health and general well-being.

These types of videos are surprisingly popular with viewers, and some businesses even shout out the customer who made the order in the video. This incentivizes followers to make an order in the hope that they will be featured in a packing video.

Final thoughts

So there you have it—20 fun and unique TikTok video ideas that your audience is sure to love.

25 beatles lyrics: your go-to guide for every situation, the best lines from the fab four.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make

The End- Abbey Road, 1969

The sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful and so are you

Dear Prudence- The White Album, 1968

Love is old, love is new, love is all, love is you

Because- Abbey Road, 1969

We Can Work It Out- Rubber Soul, 1965

Come Together- Abbey Road, 1969

Oh please, say to me, You'll let me be your man. And please say to me, You'll let me hold your hand

I Wanna Hold Your Hand- Meet The Beatles!, 1964

It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play. They've been going in and out of style, but they're guaranteed to raise a smile

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band-1967

Strawberry Fields Forever- Magical Mystery Tour, 1967

Can you hear me? When it rains and shine, it's just a state of mind

Rain- Paperback Writer "B" side, 1966

Little darling, it's been long cold lonely winter. Little darling, it feels like years since it' s been here. Here comes the sun, Here comes the sun, and I say it's alright

Here Comes The Sun- Abbey Road, 1969

And when the brokenhearted people, living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be.

Let It Be- Let It Be, 1970

And anytime you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders

I'll give you all i got to give if you say you'll love me too. i may not have a lot to give but what i got i'll give to you. i don't care too much for money. money can't buy me love.

Can't Buy Me Love- A Hard Day's Night, 1964

All you need is love, love is all you need

All You Need Is Love- Magical Mystery Tour, 1967

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly. all your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird- The White Album, 1968

Though I know I'll never lose affection, for people and things that went before. I know I'll often stop and think about them. In my life, I love you more

In My Life- Rubber Soul, 1965

While these are my 25 favorites, there are quite literally 1000s that could have been included. The Beatles' body of work is massive and there is something for everyone. If you have been living under a rock and haven't discovered the Fab Four, you have to get musically educated. Stream them on Spotify, find them on iTunes or even buy a CD or record (Yes, those still exist!). I would suggest starting with 1, which is a collection of most of their #1 songs, or the 1968 White Album. Give them chance and you'll never look back.

14 Invisible Activities: Unleash Your Inner Ghost!

Obviously the best superpower..

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

1. "Haunt" your friends.

Follow them into their house and cause a ruckus.

2. Sneak into movie theaters.

Going to the cinema alone is good for your mental health , says science

Considering that the monthly cost of subscribing to a media-streaming service like Netflix is oft...

Free movies...what else to I have to say?

3. Sneak into the pantry and grab a snack without judgment.

Late night snacks all you want? Duh.

4. Reenact "Hollow Man" and play Kevin Bacon.

America's favorite son? And feel what it's like to be in a MTV Movie Award nominated film? Sign me up.

5. Wear a mask and pretend to be a floating head.

Just another way to spook your friends in case you wanted to.

6. Hold objects so they'll "float."

"Oh no! A floating jar of peanut butter."

7. Win every game of hide-and-seek.

Just stand out in the open and you'll win.

8. Eat some food as people will watch it disappear.

Even everyday activities can be funny.

9. Go around pantsing your friends.

Even pranks can be done; not everything can be good.

10. Not have perfect attendance.

You'll say here, but they won't see you...

11. Avoid anyone you don't want to see.

Whether it's an ex or someone you hate, just use your invisibility to slip out of the situation.

12. Avoid responsibilities.

Chores? Invisible. People asking about social life? Invisible. Family being rude? Boom, invisible.

13. Be an expert on ding-dong-ditch.

Never get caught and have the adrenaline rush? I'm down.

14. Brag about being invisible.

Be the envy of the town.

But don't, I repeat, don't go in a locker room. Don't be a pervert with your power. No one likes a Peeping Tom.

Good luck, folks.

19 Lessons I'll Never Forget from Growing Up In a Small Town

There have been many lessons learned..

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

1. The importance of traditions.

Sometimes traditions seem like a silly thing, but the fact of it is that it's part of who you are. You grew up this way and, more than likely, so did your parents. It is something that is part of your family history and that is more important than anything.

2. How to be thankful for family and friends.

No matter how many times they get on your nerves or make you mad, they are the ones who will always be there and you should never take that for granted.

3. How to give back.

When tragedy strikes in a small town, everyone feels obligated to help out because, whether directly or indirectly, it affects you too. It is easy in a bigger city to be able to disconnect from certain problems. But in a small town those problems affect everyone.

4. What the word "community" really means.

Along the same lines as #3, everyone is always ready and willing to lend a helping hand when you need one in a small town and to me that is the true meaning of community. It's working together to build a better atmosphere, being there to raise each other up, build each other up, and pick each other up when someone is in need. A small town community is full of endless support whether it be after a tragedy or at a hometown sports game. Everyone shows up to show their support.

5. That it isn't about the destination, but the journey.

People say this to others all the time, but it takes on a whole new meaning in a small town. It is true that life is about the journey, but when you're from a small town, you know it's about the journey because the journey probably takes longer than you spend at the destination. Everything is so far away that it is totally normal to spend a couple hours in the car on your way to some form of entertainment. And most of the time, you're gonna have as many, if not more, memories and laughs on the journey than at the destination.

6. The consequences of making bad choices.

Word travels fast in a small town, so don't think you're gonna get away with anything. In fact, your parents probably know what you did before you even have a chance to get home and tell them. And forget about being scared of what your teacher, principle, or other authority figure is going to do, you're more afraid of what your parents are gonna do when you get home.

7. To trust people, until you have a reason not to.

Everyone deserves a chance. Most people don't have ill-intentions and you can't live your life guarding against every one else just because a few people in your life have betrayed your trust.

8. To be welcoming and accepting of everyone.

While small towns are not always extremely diverse, they do contain people with a lot of different stories, struggle, and backgrounds. In a small town, it is pretty hard to exclude anyone because of who they are or what they come from because there aren't many people to choose from. A small town teaches you that just because someone isn't the same as you, doesn't mean you can't be great friends.

9. How to be my own, individual person.

In a small town, you learn that it's okay to be who you are and do your own thing. You learn that confidence isn't how beautiful you are or how much money you have, it's who you are on the inside.

10. How to work for what I want.

Nothing comes easy in life. They always say "gardens don't grow overnight" and if you're from a small town you know this both figuratively and literally. You certainly know gardens don't grow overnight because you've worked in a garden or two. But you also know that to get to the place you want to be in life it takes work and effort. It doesn't just happen because you want it to.

11. How to be great at giving directions.

If you're from a small town, you know that you will probably only meet a handful of people in your life who ACTUALLY know where your town is. And forget about the people who accidentally enter into your town because of google maps. You've gotten really good at giving them directions right back to the interstate.

12. How to be humble .

My small town has definitely taught me how to be humble. It isn't always about you, and anyone who grows up in a small town knows that. Everyone gets their moment in the spotlight, and since there's so few of us, we're probably best friends with everyone so we are as excited when they get their moment of fame as we are when we get ours.

13. To be well-rounded.

Going to a small town high school definitely made me well-rounded. There isn't enough kids in the school to fill up all the clubs and sports teams individually so be ready to be a part of them all.

14. How to be great at conflict resolution.

In a small town, good luck holding a grudge. In a bigger city you can just avoid a person you don't like or who you've had problems with. But not in a small town. You better resolve the issue fast because you're bound to see them at least 5 times a week.

15. The beauty of getting outside and exploring.

One of my favorite things about growing up in a rural area was being able to go outside and go exploring and not have to worry about being in danger. There is nothing more exciting then finding a new place somewhere in town or in the woods and just spending time there enjoying the natural beauty around you.

16. To be prepared for anything.

You never know what may happen. If you get a flat tire, you better know how to change it yourself because you never know if you will be able to get ahold of someone else to come fix it. Mechanics might be too busy , or more than likely you won't even have enough cell service to call one.

17. That you don't always have to do it alone.

It's okay to ask for help. One thing I realized when I moved away from my town for college, was how much my town has taught me that I could ask for help is I needed it. I got into a couple situations outside of my town where I couldn't find anyone to help me and found myself thinking, if I was in my town there would be tons of people ready to help me. And even though I couldn't find anyone to help, you better believe I wasn't afraid to ask.

18. How to be creative.

When you're at least an hour away from normal forms of entertainment such as movie theaters and malls, you learn to get real creative in entertaining yourself. Whether it be a night looking at the stars in the bed of a pickup truck or having a movie marathon in a blanket fort at home, you know how to make your own good time.

19. To brush off gossip.

It's all about knowing the person you are and not letting others influence your opinion of yourself. In small towns, there is plenty of gossip. But as long as you know who you really are, it will always blow over.

Grateful Beyond Words: A Letter to My Inspiration

I have never been so thankful to know you..

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

You have taught me that you don't always have to strong. You are allowed to break down as long as you pick yourself back up and keep moving forward. When life had you at your worst moments, you allowed your friends to be there for you and to help you. You let them in and they helped pick you up. Even in your darkest hour you showed so much strength. I know that you don't believe in yourself as much as you should but you are unbelievably strong and capable of anything you set your mind to.

Your passion to make a difference in the world is unbelievable. You put your heart and soul into your endeavors and surpass any personal goal you could have set. Watching you do what you love and watching you make a difference in the lives of others is an incredible experience. The way your face lights up when you finally realize what you have accomplished is breathtaking and I hope that one day I can have just as much passion you have.

SEE MORE: A Letter To My Best Friend On Her Birthday

The love you have for your family is outstanding. Watching you interact with loved ones just makes me smile . You are so comfortable and you are yourself. I see the way you smile when you are around family and I wish I could see you smile like this everyday. You love with all your heart and this quality is something I wished I possessed.

You inspire me to be the best version of myself. I look up to you. I feel that more people should strive to have the strength and passion that you exemplify in everyday life. You may be stubborn at points but when you really need help you let others in, which shows strength in itself. I have never been more proud to know someone and to call someone my role model. You have taught me so many things and I want to thank you. Thank you for inspiring me in life. Thank you for making me want to be a better person.

Waitlisted for a College Class? Here's What to Do!

Dealing with the inevitable realities of college life..

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Don't freak out

This is a rule you should continue to follow no matter what you do in life, but is especially helpful in this situation.

Email the professor

Around this time, professors are getting flooded with requests from students wanting to get into full classes. This doesn't mean you shouldn't burden them with your email; it means they are expecting interested students to email them. Send a short, concise message telling them that you are interested in the class and ask if there would be any chance for you to get in.

Attend the first class

Often, the advice professors will give you when they reply to your email is to attend the first class. The first class isn't the most important class in terms of what will be taught. However, attending the first class means you are serious about taking the course and aren't going to give up on it.

Keep attending class

Every student is in the same position as you are. They registered for more classes than they want to take and are "shopping." For the first couple of weeks, you can drop or add classes as you please, which means that classes that were once full will have spaces. If you keep attending class and keep up with assignments, odds are that you will have priority. Professors give preference to people who need the class for a major and then from higher to lower class year (senior to freshman).

Have a backup plan

For two weeks, or until I find out whether I get into my waitlisted class, I will be attending more than the usual number of classes. This is so that if I don't get into my waitlisted class, I won't have a credit shortage and I won't have to fall back in my backup class. Chances are that enough people will drop the class, especially if it is very difficult like computer science, and you will have a chance. In popular classes like art and psychology, odds are you probably won't get in, so prepare for that.

Remember that everything works out at the end

Life is full of surprises. So what if you didn't get into the class you wanted? Your life obviously has something else in store for you. It's your job to make sure you make the best out of what you have.

Consider incorporating multimedia elements such as images, videos, or GIFs to add a touch of flair to your presentation.

Remember, the goal is to delight your friends with a captivating, funny performance that showcases your personality and sense of humor.

Key Takeaways

  • Engaging PowerPoint nights can deepen social connections through laughter and shared creativity.
  • Successfully selecting an offbeat topic is crucial for capturing your audience’s attention.
  • Incorporating multimedia elements into your presentation can enhance your performance and bring added humor.

Basics of A Funny PowerPoint Night

A funny PowerPoint night is a great way to spend time with your friends and showcase your creativity through engaging presentations. To make the most out of the occasion, follow these essential guidelines for a memorable evening.

Firstly, ensure that all participants prepare a short PowerPoint presentation, covering any subject they find amusing or interesting. This can range from bizarre conspiracy theories to ridiculous celebrity trivia.

The internet, particularly TikTok, offers numerous examples of funny PowerPoint night ideas to help spark your creativity.

When organizing the event, invite a diverse group of friends with varying interests and backgrounds. This will not only enrich the discussions but also contribute to a lively and entertaining atmosphere. Make sure everyone is comfortable with the presentation topics and avoid anything offensive or inappropriate.

To encourage interactivity, set a time limit for each presentation, allowing sufficient time for questions and laughs. This keeps the night agile and engaging, preventing any boredom from lengthy presentations. You can also introduce fun elements, such as voting for the best presentation or including a round of quickfire questions at the end of each slide.

Finally, remember to focus on the visuals and tone of your PowerPoint. Opt for clean, vibrant slides with eye-catching images, illustrations, or gifs. Effective use of humor and a confident delivery will make your presentation stand out and leave a lasting impression on your audience.

Incorporate these elements into your next PowerPoint night, and you’ll have the perfect recipe for an enjoyable and entertaining evening with your friends.

Choosing the Right Topic

Hints for Personal Topics

When selecting a topic for a funny PowerPoint night, consider focusing on personal experiences and interests.

Share hilarious stories related to dating, relationships, and embarrassing moments involving your family or friends.

Creating a presentation on your bucket list can also be entertaining, especially if you include unconventional goals and dreams.

Intriguing Public Topics

For a captivating presentation, delve into the world of movies, TV shows, celebrities, and even reality shows. Craft a segment that challenges your audience to guess whether a reality show synopsis is genuine or made up.

Discuss conspiracy theories surrounding popular media and technology.

Analyze which friend would die first in a horror movie.

By exploring these public topics, you’ll engage your audience and generate laughter throughout your PowerPoint night.

Presentation Elements

Using Graphics and Animations

To make your PowerPoint night ideas more engaging, incorporate eye-catching graphics and animations. These visual elements can help deliver information in a fun and memorable way.

Select images that are relevant to your topic, and use animations sparingly to emphasize key points or transitions. The goal is to entertain your audience, not to overwhelm them with too much movement or clutter.

Spicing Up Text with Fonts and Colors

Your text is an essential part of your presentation, so make it visually appealing by experimenting with different fonts and colors. Choose fonts that are easy to read, even from a distance, and avoid using too many font styles in a single slide.

With colors, choose contrasting shades for your text and background to ensure readability. Be mindful of the color scheme, as it should reflect your topic’s tone and enhance the overall aesthetics of your presentation.

Reality Through Videos

Integrating YouTube videos or other clips can elevate your PowerPoint night ideas to new heights. Videos can bring a touch of reality to your presentation by providing relatable scenarios, entertaining clips, or supporting facts.

Make sure you select relevant videos that align with your topic and keep your audience engaged. Test the video playback before presenting to ensure seamless integration into your PowerPoint.

Additional Concepts

Utilizing Social Media

Incorporating popular memes and trends from social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram can add a fun and relevant twist to your PowerPoint night.

As you brainstorm ideas, think about what topics millennials and Gen Z are currently discussing online. You can even search for inspiration on social media by browsing trending hashtags.

To add a personal touch, consider transforming popular memes or Instagram challenges into a unique slideshow. For example, you could create a meme-based presentation by applying a classic meme format to stories from your own life.

Alternatively, you might find inspiration in Instagram trends, such as the “10 Year Challenge” that encourages users to share before-and-after photos spanning a decade.

Adding A Personal Touch

Adding personal touches to your PowerPoint night can make your presentation funny and memorable for everyone involved. One approach is to delve into your hobbies and interests, using them as the foundation for your slides.

Share amusing anecdotes or even poke fun at your own quirks to give the audience a glimpse into your personality. You might also involve your friends in the presentation by asking them to share stories and experiences related to the topic.

If you’re looking for more personalized ideas, consider incorporating zodiac signs or love languages into your presentation.

You can create humorous comparisons between your astrological sign and the typical traits associated with it or take a lighthearted approach to the five love languages by creating a ranking system or quiz.

PowerPoint Tips and Techniques

To create a hilarious PowerPoint night, you should polish your PowerPoint skills. This will help ensure your presentation is engaging, visually appealing, and easy to follow. Here are some tips to get you started:

  • Keep it simple: Stick to a consistent color scheme and font throughout your presentation. Avoid using too many animations or transitions, as they can be distracting.
  • Use visuals wisely: Incorporate relevant images, graphs, or videos to support your points. Remember, less is more when it comes to visuals.
  • Bullet points are your friends: Break up text into bullet points or short phrases to make it easier for your audience to digest the information.
  • Practice makes perfect: Run through your presentation multiple times before the big night to ensure your slides flow smoothly and you have a good grasp of the content.

Leveraging Online Resources

To make your PowerPoint night even more entertaining, take advantage of various online resources. These tools can help you find captivating content, enhance your presentation’s design, and ensure your PowerPoint skills are up to par. Here are some resources to explore:

  • PowerPoint templates: Both PowerPoint itself and third-party platforms offer a wealth of creative templates to suit any theme. Choose one that matches your topic and customize it to your liking.
  • Google Slides: If you prefer using Google Slides, this platform also provides a plethora of templates and design options to create a fantastic presentation.
  • Royalty-free images and videos: Sites like Unsplash and Pexels offer a vast selection of high-quality, royalty-free visuals to enhance your slides.
  • Infographics and charts: Online tools like Canva or Piktochart can help you create professional-looking infographics and charts to make your presentation more visually appealing.

With these tips, techniques, and resources in your toolbox, you’ll be well-equipped to create a memorable and funny PowerPoint night that everyone will enjoy.

Event Planning

Food and Beverages

When planning a PowerPoint night, it’s essential to have a good selection of food and snacks available for your guests. Opt for a mix of savory and sweet items, such as chips and dip, finger sandwiches, mini pizzas, and a dessert platter.

Don’t forget beverages, too! Offer a range of choices, from soft drinks and fruit juices to tea, coffee, and alcoholic options for those who’d like them.

Social Activities and Games

A PowerPoint night is a wonderful opportunity to bond with family and friends, so be sure to incorporate engaging social activities and games. In addition to presenting your funny PowerPoint creations, consider including icebreakers, team challenges, or even a drinking game tailored to the content of the presentations.

This will not only add a layer of excitement to the evening but also encourage more interaction among your guests, making it a memorable gathering.

Setting The Mood

The ambiance plays a crucial role in ensuring a successful PowerPoint night. Focus on setting up a cozy and inviting atmosphere by adjusting the lighting, using candles or LED lights as accents, and playing suitable background music.

A comfortable seating arrangement is also important, whether it’s a casual living room setup or a more formal presentation area. Make sure you have a large enough screen or projector for a clear display of your presentations, and don’t forget to do a sound check to verify that everyone can hear the audio clearly.

Post Event Ranking

To keep the excitement going even after the presentations are over, introduce a post-event ranking system. Invite attendees to anonymously vote on their favorite presentations by distributing ballots or using an online voting platform.

Rank the presentations based on various categories, such as humor, creativity, and overall delivery.

Announce the winners and hand out fun, lighthearted prizes to celebrate their achievements. This friendly competition element will encourage everyone to share their opinions and have a good time reflecting on the PowerPoint night experience.

V2 12Xyg

Incorporating funny PowerPoint night ideas into your next gathering can be a surefire way to create memorable moments with friends, colleagues, or loved ones.

When crafting your PowerPoint night, consider thinking outside the box and embracing your creative side. From sharing your favorite TikTok topics to exploring mind-blowing presentation ideas, the possibilities are truly endless.

Remember, the goal is to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for all participants.

The main crux of the proposal is an approximately 500-word synopsis of what the talk will be about and what GDC attendees will take away from it. Don't shy away from sharing all relevant numbers and supporting materials—this synopsis is only for the Advisory Board, no one else will see it.

In addition, submitters will need to provide website details like: what the presentation will be called, the format, what track it will cover, along with a speaker bio and other website descriptions.

A full list of required materials and other key information is available  here .

What Happens Next?

The submission process is divided into a three-phase system.

Phase I: A presentation is submitted (by August 8 at 11:59pm PT), then it's off to the GDC Advisory Board for initial review.

Phase II: The Advisory Board lets submitters know by early October if a proposal has been Accepted, Declined, or advances to Phase II Conditional Acceptance. If they've been Conditionally Accepted, submitters will be asked to make some revisions, which will be due later that month. Please note: Most proposals will reach Phase II Conditional Acceptance before being accepted into GDC 2025.

Phase III: The Advisory Board will review Phase II revisions and send out final acceptances or declines from November to December.

How to Use AI to Make a Work Presentation

For a different perspective when creating a presentation, let artificial intelligence step in, and see what happens.

presentation tiktok ideas

Is a presentation supposed to be concise, or is it a storytelling process for sharing your ideas with others?

I don't have the answer to that question. But I was recently tasked with creating a presentation for a client, and though I was unclear whether it was going to be verbally presented via Zoom or handed off via email, I needed to edit my presentation so it would feel more conversational and less like a to-do list. While beautiful in design, it lacked the same personality in its content.

AI Atlas art badge tag

So to prepare for any potential outcome, I hopped on goblin.tools , a free neurodivergent-focused AI platform used to help navigate daily tasks like meals, time management, digital communication and even tone.

With a few shortcuts built exactly for my immediate need -- like the Estimator (just tell me how long this will take), the Judge (am I misreading the tone of this?) and the Formalizer (turn spicy thoughts into classy ones, or vice versa) -- I knew that refining what I'd created would take less time than if I were to sift through my syntax and edit on my own.

If you're curious about how long something like creating or editing a presentation will take, just turn to goblin.tools' Estimator.

And for more ways to use AI for work, check out CNET's AI Atlas hub for tips on  how to use AI to summarize a Google Doc and  how to use AI to get a summary of a Zoom call .

goblin tools the estimator

How to use goblin.tools to make a presentation

Step 1: goblin.tools was created for ease of use, so navigating the site is pretty easy. First, jump into the Estimator to get an approximate time -- and set an expectation -- for how long creating your presentation will take. My estimate was two to four hours and didn't exceed that.

Step 2: From here, insert your copy into the Formalizer and toggle through the drop-down menu to find the tone you want to work with. With 14 different tone options, the Formalizer makes it fun to figure out how you want to get your point across -- or how (and if) your message will land.

Step 3: For my presentation's setup and closing, I clicked on more passionate and found myself turning to easier to read for any areas where there was complex information. If you have an outline or article or brief to turn into bullet points for your presentation, this is also the place to do it.

Step 4: Inevitably, you'll find a part of your presentation that you'd like to expand on or dig into a bit more. Another great asset of goblin.tools is the Professor, which gives you a crash course on, well, anything (goblin.tools has access to OpenAI's GPT models , and its training data for all that "knowledge"). Enter what you'd like an explanation of, and the Professor will answer with a simplified explanation of your subject and an example that puts its explanation into practice. So, when I found my presentation reading with a gap between what I was speaking about and why it was important for this specific target audience to hear about it, I toggled over to that part of the site.

Step 5: Once you're satisfied with your draft presentation, copy it over into the Judge to gauge how it comes across. I used this feature to see whether goblin.tools understood my main ideas. If the AI platform could read into my presentation from a similar perspective as my own, I felt oddly confident about how an actual person would respond to it.

Step 6: Read, refine and repeat until you can call your presentation finished. Congratulations!

Should you use goblin.tools to make a presentation?

This particular AI tool can't be used to both help you design and write a presentation, but it can set you up for success in the writing portion. You can learn about a subject, design best practices and even have your presentation's outline, bullet points and first draft refined on the platform.

But if you're seeking an AI tool to help you with all aspects of the presentation-creation process, I would utilize another tool before this one. A few currently that are creating digital buzz are Beautiful.ai , Tome  and the long-standing  Canva . Because I was solely needing to (re)write my presentation, this wasn't a pain point for me. But I can understand the need for a tool that can create everything at once.

I believe goblin.tools is helpful for many aspects of professional and personal life, and since it doesn't have a paywall (unless you're in China), you're not losing out by trying it.

It may not be the all-in-one presentation tool that you might be seeking, but it can be helpful for a myriad of "life admin" tasks -- like writing an email to a client to clarify whether your presentation will be held via Zoom or in person.

In New York, a Lunch With Extravagant Jewelry and Local Dim Sum

The designer Rolly RobĂnson gathered their close friends and collaborators to celebrate their new collection of jungle-themed pieces.

A group of people seated on a fire escape, overlooking a city street.

By Coco Romack

When they were young, the jewelry and accessories designer Rolly Robínson moved with their family to the tree-dense outskirts of Sevierville, Tenn., a small city with a bronze statue of Dolly Parton at its center. There, they spent their summers outside, playing make-believe in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. “Living semi-off the grid among bugs and reptiles and wild animals,” Robínson said recently, “it unlocked this whole other part of my brain, this untapped place.” They held on to this love of fantasy and the outdoors when they undertook another transformative move, to New York City, in 2011.

On a Tuesday afternoon in early June, RobĂnson invited seven friends to a lunch celebrating both their 13th year living in the New York area and the launch of their 13th collection from their jewelry line, IsshÄ« . “This is my 13 going on 13 event,” RobĂnson said with a laugh. The venue was the Chinatown showroom of the lighting design company Blue Green Works, co-founded by RobĂnson’s friend Peter B. Staples. Each place setting had a banana-leaf mat, and hanging over the table was a flared green glass pendant lamp that called to mind a palm tree; together, the details made the space feel like a jungle oasis. It was a fitting place to see Isshī’s resort 2025 collection, in whose press materials RobĂnson likened the experience of heartbreak to a plane crashing into the rainforest: Modular leather-cord necklaces, crystal-embellished bracelets and hand-felted lamb’s-wool corsages all resembled carnivorous plants.

Guests were invited to touch and try on the pieces, which were displayed on tables and plates throughout the space. Around 1:30 p.m., a delivery driver arrived carrying bags of dim sum, and while Staples doled out the food, Robínson offered their guests a brief toast: “Everyone here today has been a rock for me at some point,” they said, reflecting on the highs and lows of their life in the city, from becoming a regular presence in the Manhattan nightlife circuit to ending a nine-year relationship. After dessert, the group climbed one by one onto the building’s fire escape, balancing coffee mugs that sloshed with wine. And as they talked, the disco music emanating from the studio’s speakers melded with the frenetic honking of traffic down below.
