By checking IGNOU 2023 assignment status, the students will be able to know if their submitted assignments have been accepted or rejected. It is advised to all the students that they should check the IGNOU assignment status 2023.

The assignment status can be checked for all programmes such as Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Diploma and PG Diploma.

Once the assignments are submitted by the students in the study centre, the university authorised persons evaluate them and assign the marks as per the answers written by students.

The marks obtained by students in the “Tutor Marked Assignment” are sent to the Student Evaluation Division (SED), Ignou for updating it on marks card. The Ignou grade card can be checked online by the students by entering their enrollment numbers to know their marks.

After submitting assignments, the students starts checking their assignment submission status or grade card after 2-3 days. They enter their roll no in assignment status link and find the result IGNOU Assignment status not found. Also, they try to check their grade card and find it not updated. They start complaining about it.

We would like to inform the students that the complete process of assigning the marks to the students and updating it on website may take more than one month because of huge database of students enrolled in the university.

Then the question arises how do we know that the assignments has been properly submitted or not.

The university has provided the link on its official website to check the assignment submission status. Students need to enter their enrollment number and select their respective programme to check the status.

But it is advised to all the students to check the status of assignments only after twenty days of submission. Otherwise, they may not find it updated.

Once updated on the website, the students will see “Received and In-progress” status in front of each course for which they have submitted the assignments.

In case, if they do not find this status for any of their course, they can visit their respective study centre along with receipt of assignment submission to enquire about it.

IGNOU has made a centralized web portal for online submission of Project work, Dissertation, Field Work Journals and Internship Reports. IGNOU  provided a  online link for uploading reports and dissertation .Indira Gandhi National Open University, or IGNOU, has activated the online project submission link on its official website.

Guidelines to Submit Project Report and dissertation  Online

• The learners are expected to prepare the Project Report based on the approved Project proposal wherever applicable as per the project guidelines. The Project guidelines will be the same as contained in project guidelines booklet sent with SLM.
• IGNOU Students should ensure that while submitting the final project through Online Mode, the Proposal Proforma is duly approved in original, along with “Synopsis” and Bio-data of the project guide and originality certificate is duly signed by both the Student and the Project Guide with date to be incorporated (wherever applicable).
• The learners may ensure that while uploading digital copy of project through online mode, scanned pages are clear and not blurred, sequence is correct, pages are well lighted and not dim; orientation of pages is same – should not change between portrait and landscape;
• The learners are required to obtain digitally approval in prescribed proforma of the Guide/Supervisor through e-mail before submitting the project through online. For seeking the approval of Synopsis, the project proposal can be forwarded to the concerned Regional Centre at www.ignou.ac.in > Regional Network > Regional Centre’s (E-mail ID of all RC’s are available at  http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/regional/website )

to the concerned School at www.ignou.ac.in > about IGNOU > School of Studies (E-mail ID of all Faculties are available at  http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/school ).

5  The Modalities/feasibility in respect of Field Work Journal for consideration of collection of primary data, exploration and analysis of secondary research data in lieu of field work journal may be suggested / prepared by the SOSW. A separate guideline to the learner is to be issued from the concerned School (SOSW) to facilitate the learner of SOSW for submitting the Field Work Journal through online. The learner may also contact to the Programme Coordinator (SOSW) for further information in this regard, (E-mail ID as mentioned at Point-3 above).

6 . The learners may ensure that the Original Project Report is to be scanned in a single pdf format file for one Subject/Course, so as to enable the Regional Centre / Student Evaluation Division to download the same in a single pdf format file for further action.

The first page of the pdf file must carry the correct particulars of the learner as given below:

• Title of the Project Report / Dissertation / Internship / Field Work
• Name of the Learner
• Programme Code
• Enrolment Number
• Regional Centre Code
• Course Code(s)/of attached project
• Mobile No. & E-mail ID

In case the project report is not found in order, it shall be returned to the student for resubmission after correction/completion.

7. The viva-voce of the project report will be conducted under certain guidelines by the concerned Faculties under Regional Centre. The students are advised to contact to the Regional Centre concerned at (E-mail ID as mentioned at Point-3 above).

8.In case of any query with regard to submitted Project/Dissertation/Field Work Journal/Internship report, the students are advised to write to the respective Regional Centre’s Email ID/SED (Project Section) Email ID.

Masters in Social Work(MSW) is a postgraduate course that uses social sciences, sociology, psychology, political science, public health, community development, law, and economics to solve problems at individual and community levels. It encompasses 14 subjects for which there are annual exams.

Note: Course Fee: INR 32,400 for the full program to be paid year wise @ INR 16,200 per year (Subject to change from time to time as per University norms)

• The candidates are advised to download the prospectus and read the instructions carefully before filling up the form
• The candidates should remember their Username and Password for subsequent login

The University follows the credit system for its Master’s Degree Programme. Each credit amounts to 30 hours of study comprising all learning activities. Thus, a 4 credit course involves 120 study hours, a 6 credit course involves 180 study hours and 10 credit course involves 300 study hours. To successfully complete the MSW program, you will have to earn 66 credits over a period of 2 to 5 years depending on your convenience.

The Master’s Degree Programme in MSW has three major components: 1. Compulsory Papers 38 Credits 2. Optional Papers 8 Credits 3. Field Work 20 Credits Total 66 Credits

Field Work Components

The third component of the MSW program is the Field Work Practicum. The University has prepared two Field Work Journals for the 1st and 2nd year separately. Each year you are expected to successfully complete 10 credits of Field Work Practicum under the guidance of a professionally qualified Social Worker.

Therefore ensure from the coordinator at the study center that your supervisor has formal qualifications in social work at the post-graduation level. Completion of Field Work in MSW Ist year is mandatory for starting the social work practicum of the second year.

IGNOU offers admission to MSW courses on basis of percentage scored in bachelor degree. The application procedure is online and one can get admission through online mode only.
